Wow - thanks for all the kind comments folks!! I'm trying to respond to them all but am struggling to keep up!!...apologies if I don't write back to every one but I promise I do read them all!!
It looks the dogs bollocks. I guess you can forget all the trouble it took to get there & finally enjoy a great job.
Its looks & soundz lovely.... How comfortable are the knobbly tyres....! They look bigger than normal RE tyres
@ThemissendenFlyer - love the handlebars - who makes them?
Finally! A beautiful job. I like the new tail light and turn signals. Enjoy!
That's got to be the most expensive Interceptor in history, and I am really happy to see you've finally got it completed!
That’s what I think
If you exclude the Jensen marque of course.
Huge props to Chris and Grant. This whole series is a testament to the dangers of working through middle men; higher prices, longer times, mixed up messages, and just general pain. The only thing I would play with to see how it looks is a short tinted flyscreen!
The back end looks way better, as it should have looked all along, the whole bike looks fantastic! I think Chris and Grant might be having a few enquires! Happy riding! ( you do sound a lot happier now! 😁)
I am - this is the bike I originally specified!
@@TheMissendenFlyer
Glad your happy. Keep us informed if you get justice with those con jobbers mate. 🧐
Holy Goat Customs do some lovely seat recovering and upholstery if your ever looking to have a seat recovered Andy.
@@racheltaylor6578 Where are they based?
@@TheMissendenFlyer They are in Christchurch Andy. Kev is utterly brilliant at what he does :)
So pleased the Interceptor is back, and exacrly how you wanted it. Absolutely fantastic work from Chris and Grant. I think it looks beautiful, and sounds like a bike should. Shows us all, that there is still honest, good people around.
Yes there are - if only I'd known about them to start with and had worked directly with them - would have been here two years ago! Oh well, the end result I'm very pleased with....gotta ride her now!
The UK sent many of your honest and good people to Australia long ago 😀
Great to see it looking so slick! Rear end udguard/light/numberplate combo is perfect
Thank you Freddie! Your seal of approval is much appreciated!!
When are you guys going to team up for a vid? And can I come along for the ride?! :)
Great job Chris!!! Good to see such service still exists in the industry..real old school!!!👍
Yes it was a pleasure working directly with those guys….
I have to admit I wasn't crazy about your plans for this bike at first. Just didn't "do it" for me. But now that it's finally sorted out to your specifications, I'm very impressed with the final result. Awesome looking and sounding bike. Kudos to Chris and Grant for the superb work.
Come to work on a Saturday and boom, this lands in my You Tube viewing feed, doesn't get much better than that. Banging looking bike TMF and combining the retro old bike with new LED's and that back light seamlessly wraps around that seat is a sweet design touch. Very minimalist but effective design. Now back to watching yours and Mr Vidas Euro trips via The Pico's and your Slovenia trips.
Does certainly look better this time round than the first, now to get out and enjoy it 🏍👍
One minor criticism is the seat, the covering doesn’t look to be fitted to well, almost looks to big for the seat and makes the TMF logo look like it’s not straight, and with the TMF on the seat then on the number plate looks a little odd, think it would of been better with the bike image from the TMF logo on the seat.
I thought the same about the seat lettering and the number plate, would look better if it was perhaps mounted a little lower from the mud guard.
Have to agree. Chris and Grant are good lads for taking it on but if I was Andy I would still be seething about the cost.
@@2wheelsrbest327 Life's too short! Time to move on....
@@TheMissendenFlyer Fair comment Andy.
Absolutely Andy..a cracking bike now..roll on summer!
👍 Chris and Grant for turning it around so quickly after such a long saga. Bike looks and sounds terrific.
The bike looks and sounds amazing. I'm glad this came with a happy ending in the end and great work by Chris and Co, absolute gents 😊
Brilliant end result, after all the pain and hassle. So pleased you got there in the end, Andy. And well done Chris and Grant, top job.
After a very long saga, I'm glad you got the bike you wanted. Hats off to Chris and Grant....proper bike dealer / repairer / customiser!
Agreed!
Really nice bike and well done to TMS for helping TMF! I live too far to use their services, however, I'm sure this video will boost their business.
Very happy to see a happy ending.
I don't know the ins and outs and it's not for me to apportion blame but a failed dealership does the Royal Enfield brand no favours.
No it doesn't - also says a lot about them that they haven't ever contacted me!
Awesome stuff, just goes to show there is still some decent people out there
Oh and the bike looks awesome.
Cheers Karl
I've been wanting to comment on ya debacle with the Enfield, but I decided that so long as you're happy with the end result that's what matters most. Enjoy it.
Yes I love it - very happy with the bike now
happy to have the lovely interceptor back in the garage. the green and gold works perfectly on this bike and the rear end looks much better for sure. looking forward for small roads video on the TMF green bullet
Glad to see your RE is back and that you are happy with it. Chris and Grant are obviously craftsmen and take great pride in their work. Looking forward to seeing the RE in a vlog in the near future. Ride safe Andy.
Stay tuned Buff - you'll be seeing a lot more of this bike!
Glad you finally have her back, and she looks fantastic, well done to Chris for rescuing the situation, and with the spring not too far ahead enjoy the ride, Cheers Andy
Thanks 👍Roll on some sunshine....
Glad to see you have it back and the saga is over for you. A lesson for all of us to get a written contract.
I am genuinely thrilled for you Mr Flyer, I hope you have many happy and trouble free miles on your one of a kind Interceptor, also bravo to Chris and the team for prioritising the work on your bike and looking after their reputation and customer. I think we need good news stories like this more than ever these days.
Agreed Mark!
Looks a million $$$!!! What an amazing example of service and professionalism. I just hope the guys who finished the job didn't end up out of pocket.
I'm glad you've got it sorted at last. What a saga. Great service from Chris and Grant. They deserve all the positive publicity they are getting out of this sorry affair. Hope you really enjoy the bike now.
I can't get over how much better the bike looks for its latest tweaks. That rear end with the fender is a huge improvement. So glad you've had a happy ending. Enjoy 🙂
Thanks Tony!
Glad the outcome has been a positive one in the end Andy. Certainly a unique bike and looks fantastic too
Andy, so glad it has been sorted out. It looks a lot better. The chaps deserve the good publicity they will get from this, too. Nice to see people standing by their principles. Enjoy the bike!
I will, and I agree - top blokes!
I’m happy flyer that you are now happy! The RE saga has made great viewing and should be watched before anyone undertakes such a project. Lessons learned indeed. Enjoy 😊
Glad you have the bike back and are happy. Good on the lads for sorting it out, even though it wasn't a problem of their making.
Looks and sounds great. I personally don’t mind the TMF on the seat. All credit to Chris and I hope he can cope with his new work load 😄.
Delighted for you Andy. The bike looks and sounds complete now. Enjoy the mile munching!!👍🏍
Cheers Dave - will do!
The finished bike looks and sounds so cool Andy! Great job by Chris and Grant…top fellas. Passed the MOT without traditional front indicators..that was a result!
And without a rear reflector. I couldn't see one. And the number plate still doesn't look like it has the correct size lettering and spacing.
@@chrishart8548 Yup, deffo needs a red reflector mounted down the centreline of the bike to comply with MOT requirements.
Glad it's finally sorted, that back end looks so much better. You've certainly given the Internet something to discuss with this project! Hope you're well, cheers and take care.
Cheers Richard!
Bike looks great, it's just a shame Chris and Grant didn't get paid, poor blokes, hopefully they get lots of new customers!
Great to see the Intercepter back
and done so quickly by the realy honest professionals. No expense to you .
That's realy good to see people go out there way to help. The finished bike looks
BRILLIANT .JOB WELL DONE .HAVE FUN AND ENJOY YOUR RIDES OUT.😎😻😺
Looks great! Love the lights and rear fender. Concerning the TMF on the seat it might be hard to find the right accent color so maybe a complementary color to the seat would work; like chestnut. Black also seems like a good option. Perhaps you can throw an image of the bike in to an editing program and change the color to see how it would look.
Yes black or very darg green are my favourite options...a little tweak for the future....
So good to see to see the bike looking as it should have. Shame it took this long and so much money but Chris is an absolute bloke for putting it right.
Yes top fellas him and Grant…unlike the Royal Enfield dealer…
So glad you got it sorted Andy. She looks and sounds great. Be interesting to know how much all that work “should” have cost from scratch to where you are now? 👍
Well £4K was the original quote - I had the same figure from the first custom house I went too as well so I imagine that's near the right figure. Although show me anywhere where you can get a "cheap" custom job - all these types of bikes are expensive if you don't do them yourself...have a look at "The Bike Shed" classifieds for evidence!
Thanks Andy, a lot of money but the final result looks well worth it.
They haven't done much but it's made a world of difference. Just goes to show how tricky it is to do just right. Roll on Summer.
@@frankhall401 Amen to that!
It looks great, like the finished product, like I had imagined it too, great change to the seat too! And the little mudguard in the back makes it all come together! Enjoy her
Congratulations it’s a very good looking bike. However it isn’t a process I would’ve attempted, and I don’t share your enthusiasm for that seat. Also I’m not keen on the back end, but horses for courses as they say. 👍🏴🇬🇧
Indeed - I love it! Right up my street this....
YaY! Nice to see a satisfactory conclusion to the bike build Andy! Well done Chris and Grant, wonderful job! May I say, the bike is now looking A LOT better for the work. Congrats Andy, the bike's mint now.
Thank you - I think so too - looking forward to riding it!
Morning Mr. Flyer! The front three-quarter view (at around 7:00) is particularly impressive. The embroidered seat stitching looks fine. In the “fashion segment”, the edge of the “F”, which is just in view doesn’t appear to be a vastly different shade to the gold lettering on the side panels (albeit this is on screen rather than in reality). Live with it as is for a while, is my suggestion, and if you still feel the same in a couple of months, change it then.
Yes that's exactly my thinking Paul - I don't think this sort of project bike is ever truly "finished"....
Looks fantastic, love the green and gold. All it needs now is a rear red reflector to be legal.
I suspect that's only required for night time riding....
@@TheMissendenFlyer 4.8.1. Presence, condition and operation
You must only inspect the one mandatory rear reflector on a solo machine, or 2 on a motorcycle combination.
Motorcycles must have one red reflector aligned to the longitudinal centre line and positioned to reflect squarely to the rear. On motorcycle and sidecar, the sidecar must also have a reflector fitted towards the outer side and positioned to reflect squarely to the rear.
Rear reflectors are not needed on motorcycles that:
* do not have front and rear position lamps fitted * < Yours does.
have such lamps permanently disconnected, painted over or masked
Reflective tape is not an acceptable substitute for a rear reflector.
Back end looks brilliant👍 Love the brake light, indicators and mud guard. Really looks the business now.
Yes I'm thrilled with the overall look....
The chaps have done a marvelous job at making it fit your original idea. Their servicemindedness won't be matched by anyone. They worked fast and really listened to you and what you wanted.
Best customer is a happy and satisfied customer - they have one in you now, and you will be riding around like the best ever advert they could ever wish for. All kudos to them! 👏
Couldn’t agree more Jonas!
Glad they sorted it all out for you :) well done to Chris and the team.. You’ve certainly had a lot to deal with getting everything sorted :)
So happy you love the bike, that is the main thing, what a story but a warning to everyone else - never pay up front.
I’m so pleased for you, and at least you haven’t got to say “Let’s do that again” The bike looks fantastic and I’d want to be out all day on that 🏍
A few years back I started having a virago converted to a scrambler and it was taking forever with very little progress and a heafty upfront payment. I ended up being lucky enough to get refunded, but many more customers weren't that lucky (I've heard of a guy who actually collected his bike a year later it was in parts in multiple boxes). It's easy for bike shops to take deposits, but it takes time to build them. The high end very professional shops will usually charge more than the bike will ever be worth, and the more affordable ones, well you risk ending up with an unfinished bike.
I like how your RE turned out and glad you finally get to ride it. The seat could be improved but once you're sitting on it, you don't see it anymore :)
Enjoy and keep it shiny side up!
Cheers and yes for me it’s not about how much my bike is now worth but about having the bike I want….this one’s a keeper!
That looks alot better love the indicators well done to the lads who finished it
Nice to see proper customer service cheers Andy 👍🏍
Like a kid in a toy shop, and why not. Really pleased it’s all worked out in the end. She’s a beauty for sure.
Yes I love the bike Simon - roll on Summer!
Hi Andy, great to see a happy ending here. The back end tail fit and finish is way better than the first effort (or perhaps lack thereof…). I think you’re right the pipes do sound fab. Thanks for posting.
Can’t beat a happy ending
My pleasure this time!
wincing and flinching when you hit that lovely paint with your zipper. 08:49
Gorgeous bike, proper grin machine.
The exhausts still look dreadful and no they don’t sound any different to how it did before, when you didn’t like them. The front indicators on the handlebars are quite frankly daft and would be hardly visible to anyone coming head on. The location of the clutch lever in relation to the grip looks out of place (too far away) and the lettering on the rear of the seat is orange not gold.
But you know the biggest annoyance with all this is you referring to your viewers as Kids!! I suspect the vast majority are adults and would find this comment as just plain stupid. Secondly what an expensive exercise in chequebook bike modifications, most likely paid by your viewers and what did you actually achieve asides a whole lot of grief and money spent on what is a pretty ordinary bike. It’s yours and i am sure you will enjoy it, good for you, but really ??
I do love the internet!! You sound like a top notch fella!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Sorry mate if my comments feel negative, but seriously i do think you were taken for a literal ride. Still if your happy now with it, that’s all good, enjoy..
Glad it all worked out, time to put all the hassle behind you and enjoy the bike
That's the plan!
Seat doesn't look straight and poor quality .
Thanks for that Paul - love you too mate
@@TheMissendenFlyer Poor doo when you can't take criticism .
That’s much better Andy, good to see you happy with the interceptor and well done to Chris and Grant. 🍻
It's a bike not a fashion statement ; why tart it up if yo aint a tart !
I am a tart - this bike is all about the look for me…
FINALLY. THE RE is BACK. Looks Incredible Andy. Love the Green and Gold. Should have come in this livery from the factory.
I agree!
The seat is bad. New upholstery guy needed. Too much black-out that looks like it was done with a can of rattle paint. I like the green paint but the seat and the black parts just make it look cheap. Sorry
No need to apologise for your own opinion! I love how it looks…. Thanks for stopping by!
Your bike looks and sounds amazing, great final outcome. Chris and Grant deserve a pat on the back. I did go back and watch the original video, you certainly have a far greater tolerance than I do. I would be doing time now if I was in your position. 😆
Seat is terrible and it don't follow the line of the frame and looks wonky from the rear, the clocks need to go for more minimal set up, the powder coated rims and hubs look terrible considering there's plenty of companies out there that could of anodized them in a real nice gold , the rear shocks look like Chinese knock offs after being powder coated and if you was going for a scrambler look the swing arm should be longer and it sounds terrible nothing like a twin ... but each to their own and I hope you didn't pay much for the work that's Been done as there's about 2-3 weeks worth of effort to do the work on that bike and if it's owing you 15k you mental 😂👍
Gotta love the internet! All the best to you…
@@TheMissendenFlyer got to love a 20 footer bike and someone with more money than sense to polish a turd into a bigger turd 🤣😂 don't be bitter 🤣😂
Finally!! Now looking absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic to see superb service from a custom shop - well done to Chris and Grant and they had better start recruiting some more staff to handle their order books!!! Now to enter it into a show…
Really made my morning seeing this video. I was so gutted for your bad experience with the original company. What should have been an excellent experience turned into a right hassle. Really impressed with Chris and how he got the bike done, it looks perfect. I can see how you wanted the finished look now, and you got it spot on . Enjoy many miles of smiles on a cracking machine 👍👍😀😀😀😀😀
Thanks very much - we got there in the end and I couldn't be more thrilled with the finished bike!
I bet you are glad that saga is over with….and great looking bike…you can tell how happy you are to get it finished. the outtakes are classic!!!
Thanks for watching until the end!
Great news Andy looks a million times better!
I agree mate....will have to get you out on it and get you converted to the way of the retro!
Just an afterthought any more alterations should be done by you I think you have the talent for it. Mick
Oh man Andy, the interceptor is spot on now! I know the journey to get here was a bit rough, but you now have a bike that you can be proud of!
...and i am!
It looks stunning to say the least, that british racing green with gold is what made me go for the Triumph Bonneville T100 goldline 2022. Well done 🙂👍
Actually BRG is very much darker than this, but that was the kind of effect I wanted and what I was thinking when I started out with this project....
6:55 I see the absolutely seamless look brought about with their detail blackout. Jolly good show....
Not sure I follow but thanks for watching!
Was a painful road but they really fixed it up right in the end. Chris did a great job. Shameful the way that dealer handled it then bellied up without any contact with you.
Wow she looks great Andy,so happy you got it all done how you wanted..
Andy the bike looks amazing, massive improvement from the last set of modifications. I am very jealous. Enjoy riding
Thanks Nigel - I am! Roll on summer….
The bike looks great now especially with the lower profile seat & back guard looks great & doesn't look like a Rottweiler on steroids with high seat & no rear end.Glad it all worked out for your TMF.
Me too - and I agree!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Looks awesome TMF don't let the hater bring you down.
So pleased you’ve got your interceptor back Andy and they way you wanted it in the first place !
It looks and sounds fantastic 😊
Let’s hope your channel provides Chris and Grant some well deserved new custom (pun intended).
Above and beyond, looks great - must be a relief that its complete.
Yes sure is - onwards and upwards!
I think she is beautiful. It looks great, The added rear fender just completes the whole look. GTEh guys did a fab job. So glad you shared this,
My pleasure (this time!)
Looks and sounds great this goes to show there are good guys out there who still care and have pride.
Yes Chris and Grant do indeed take great pride in their work....
Chris and Grant did a fabulous job sorting out what was a complete SNAFU ! They deserve as much business as the area riders can bring to their shop👍.
Great to see this whole thing has been sorted out. I was very grateful to catch this video with the conclusion by the time I punched into the whole drama a year later. You seem like an absolutely stand up guy so I'm grateful the whole thing worked out as far as the bike goes. I wanted to pop by and drop a word or two on just how attractive a motorcycle you have, regardless the headache. From my vantage point now seeing her in her final form you were spot on with the choices. Glad to see you stayed with the in handle turning signals they are clean and REALLY sharpen that front end up nicely. Rear indicators are AMAZING. Honestly I didn't have the vision for the bike the way you did. But once I've seen them finished you were spot on. As a fellow motorcycle enthusiast I'm happy to have found your channel. New Sub here.
Thank you Mark and welcome along!
Gorgeous Andy! Worth the wait I reckon. Shocked me with the comment about the MOT - has three years gone by already? Crikey! Well done to Chris and Grant for getting it completed so quickly too 👍
Dude the rear looks so much better now!!! That is just amazing man. Congratulations big time!!!
Appreciate it!!
I'd have the outline of the tmf letters stitched in black or silver..both would work with Brown and suddenly the " orange" colour of the tmf would pop rather than be a bit lost..wheels look amazing and brilliant paint job..good effort!!
Thanks!
It looks fab now. Just the little details make such an improvement. Nice to hear the ‘Hey Kids’ intro is back. Not sure when you started saying it again but is good to see you put 2 fingers up to those that get offended by anything😉
Yes incredibly I I had more complaints about it being gone than staying - so Hey Kids is back for good!
Really like the refinements, much better proportions now. I’d want a handlebar with more rise, but that’s about it. Wonderful!
Thanks Eric - these things are alays a work in progress and the front end is the next bit to get some attention....
That looks fabulous, love the classic paintwork, green/gold, just perfect!
Thanks!
If you haven't changed the lettering on the seat yet I have an idea for how you could make them actual gold - gold leaf. You would only need a couple of sheets and it's easier to apply than most people think. You paint over the lettering with 'size', let it dry to the point where it has no moisture left but is still tacky and then use a brush to pick up the leaf and lay it over the letters. a couple of layers would give decent coverage and the leaf will brush away from everywhere that isn't painted with size. It doesn't look like the seat should flex much so a few applications of gun-stock wax should be enough to protect it from the elements - the glue layer will be vulnerable to water otherwise.
Interesting idea!
I love the 650, if I only had the money and space I'd consider one of these. I like the orange TMF and some cool features like the lights, well done. I removed my other comment obviously my phone playing up, so many nice comments about the bike here and quite rightly too!
Glad the saga is over. Hats off to Chris, what a diamond bloke for going above and beyond to help you out. Really sweet end result, what a lovely looking bike!!
Much appreciated!
The bike looks awesome now it’s finished properly I don’t even mind the stitching colour. I agree about ragging smaller hp bikes around just as much fun if not more. The outtakes prove there’s a lot of work in these videos 🏍💨👍
Thanks for watching until the end!
She is finally finished, and looks awesome the boys have definitely worked there magic.
When i need bits and bobs doing to my bikes that’s going to be my first port of call.
Enjoy Andy 👍👍👍
That looks spot on now... Tbh I liked it how it was before, but the changes have made all the difference.
Glad it’s back and you like the ‘end product’. Must say looks great!. Time to put all the pain behind you and enjoy the bike !!😃
Couldn't agree more....
This bike looks much better now. I think adding that rear mudguard made a difference. I need to say I was not big fan how the bike looked at first place but now it's spot on. I think you are right the pipes sound really nice too. Enjoy riding. 👍🏻😎
Wow the bikes been customised that long it needed a m.o.t ,but seriously glad it's now right time to start enjoying it
Now that is a bike you'd be proud to own. What fantastic job they have done so much better looking than the last time you had her home.
That’s a nice result, I’m pleased that you’re pleased. Happy days. Thanks for another great video. Big thumbs up Andy.
I’m glad you got it sorted in the end.
