Would you like so see more recipes from around the world? 🌍 And is there a national dish you’d like us to try to make/veganize? 📲 Also, our Pick Up Limes app is now out (1-week free trial!): bit.ly/PUL_app 🎉
A big Yesssssssss💜
Lentils! We have a traditional soup in Greece (which is vegan) but would love to know how other countries make them
On the topic of pancakes, Utappam from South India, and Chila from East India are really good options for vegan and gluten-free pancakes. You should definitely try them!
@@Abhi-wl5yt True💌
A South African dish to try would be a bunny chow. A bunny chow is traditionally South African dish (especially to a city called Durban). It is a curry in half/a quarter loaf of a bread. This was inspired by Indian workers (indentured workers on sugar cane plantations in the mid 1800s and early 1900s). A Cape Malay curry would also be yummy!
Love the round-the-world idea! I think dumplings from around the world would be a great one - You could do gyoza, wonton, ravioli, pierogi etc.
And czech fruit filled dumplings! 🥰
@@LucyEnne ooih! never knew that you can have fruit filled dumplings!
@@thirumagalae124 yes! It’s one of our traditional food and it’s considered as a lunch, not dessert even though it’s sweet :)
We have them in Poland as well, very popular in the summer🙂
Also kozhukattai or modaks (South Indian/North Indian) sweet and savory festival dumplings ^.^
I seriously forget this channel is vegan every single time. These recipes are always so amazing
Ok? Implying that vegan food isn't usually amazing 🙄Passive aggressive 'compliment'
He's just saying that because these recipes are so similar with the non-vegan ones that it's hard to distinguish them. So it's a good compliment since he/she can enjoy them without animal products.
For Okonomiyaki, you can make it with rice flour instead of all purpose flour as a gluten free option. Changing some of the flour to quick oats is also popular in Japan lately😉Love from Japan🇯🇵❤
That's super helpful, Indy, thank you! I've added the rice flour as a sub on our website for the flour for those who need a GF sub - thanks so much for sharing 🤗
I'm vegan, and gluten-free as well due to Hashimotos; love the suggestions!
@@lindacarol122 Wait?! You can't have gluten when suffering from Hashimotos?!
@@MsSneaky0815 I can't cite any studies that say that one can't and I am not a doctor; I do, though, notice that my Hashimotos symptoms are much more manageable when I avoid gluten. When I cave from time to time and eat something with gluten (burritos and wraps are a weakness!), my joint pain will really flare up.
@MsSneaky0815 it is often recommended to those living with an autoimmune disease to cut back on gluten consumption because gluten is a known inflammatory ingredient just as dairy is. My rheumatoid arthritis has been so much more manageable since I switched to a vegan diet so much so that I have been able to go to the gym. I was exempted from PE class growing up because I was constantly having flare-ups.
Aaaahhhh, I'm from Austria and I'm so happy that you made one of our dishes! ❤
I'd love to see your take on Gulasch/Pörkölt, which is usually eaten with Semmel (a certain type of bread roll), Spätzle (egg noodles) or Semmelknödel (dumplings made out of stale white bread) - it comes from Hungary, but it's also very popular here in Austria!
I love all of these, Ella, thanks so much for sharing 🥰
As Slovenian it was really lovely to see Slovenian in your team, so happy for Sanja, and this Kaiserschmarrn looks so good, must try it:)
This is such a cool theme idea! Would love see potato side dishes or noodles from around the world! Thank you Sadia and PUL team for your amazing content that keeps me eating well and smiling while I do it! xo
Ooooohh carbs, yes, love that idea 🤤 And thanks you so much! 🥰
Filled pasta or dumpling recipes would be great!
My top tip for Kaiserschmarrn is to sprinkle 1 or 2 tbsp of sugar over the pieces right after breaking them up. The last few minutes of frying will caramelize the sugar and add a super nice flavour and crispy edges. 🤤
Hey Sadia, you must try Indian recipe “Dosa” as well. It’s fermented, very light and healthy. Same batter can also be used to make “idli”, another very famous Indian delicacy
I'm Austrian...so I know how a perfect Kaiserschmarrn should taste...I never tried turning it vegan because I was scared it may fail...but I will definitely try this one and give you all an honest review❤
The bloopers part is pretty much how cooking looks like in my kitchen 😂 I love the "around the world" series idea. Don't forget to "visit" Portugal 😊❤
I'd love to 'visit' 🤓 Any suggestions on the Portuguese recipes you'd like to see?
@@PickUpLimes hmm they need to be "veganized" but I would suggest Caldo Verde, Francesinha, Pastel de Nata, Feijoada, Bifana no Pão, Arroz de Pato, Arroz doce 😉😘
Francesinha, ovos moles, bacalhau a braz, tripas a moda do porto
@@solangecosta2917 ovos moles vegan vai ser difícil... É só gema de ovos com açúcar e água 😅 mas fazemos legumes à brás aqui em casa com frequência, com a farinha de grão de bico a substituir o ovo😉
Love, love, love the theme! Next week I'm definitely making Japan umami goodness!
Next theme: potato meals from around the world. Potatos are universal, super affordable and much every country eats them every week.
Love that! I think veganizing traditional meals is the link to helping more people transition to veganism, being that food is such a cultural, nostalgic experience. Most people still prefer their childhood home cooked meals.
Agreed!
Exactly! It would make the transition so much harder if nobody could still enjoy their comfort foods. Just because one is vegan doesn't mean they can't enjoy the food they eat
Loved the different countries theme! Vegan Mussaka is one of my favourite dishes!
Oh my yummy, definitely going to work on a moussaka recipe! thanks for the idea, Timika!
Thanks for veganising the Kaiserschmarren recipe, now I can finally eat one again 😍all the best from Austria ❤
Dutch style pancakes and French crepes if you decide to revisit pancakes! I adore both of these because you can add sweet or savory fillings. So many opportunities!
I wonder whether the kaiserscmarrn recipe will work for either of those?
Already loving ‘Around the world’ series ❤️ I love how you explain the cooking details so that we can incorporate those into our daily recipes 🧡
Ps: I’m practising how to pronounce Kaiserschmarrn 😅
Haha it's a tricky one to say! So glad you're enjoying it, Brigit! 🤗
@@PickUpLimes You were doing quite good. Just neglect the r.
Thank you for including Kaiserschmarrn!! As an Austrian living in Scotland, I have been meaning to make a vegan version of one of my childhood favourites for my friends for ages. No I have a recipe and therefore no excuse to put it off any longer 😂
Aw, thank you for including Okonomiyaki! I love how you make it. As for toppings, “aonori” and “katsuobushi” are probably the most common, but nori and furikake are great choices as they are easier to find. After all, it’s okonomiyaki (translation: grilled as you like it)❤
As always, thank you for the great contents. I’ve been watching your channel for years!!
Your videos are a vibe and so asthetic. Your energy is so enlightening
You really should start a Vegan restaurant Your food looks so aesthetic everytime
Aw thank you! Maybe one day 👩🏻🍳
@@PickUpLimes and it would be "Sadiya's cuisine"
Agree!!! My whole family would absolutely come regularly.
@@PickUpLimes I'd love to travel all the way from India to Netherlands just to taste your food
@@aybeko.nazarbaev8643 неправильно написал её имя. It’s Sadia.
omg that kaiserschmarrn recipe looks incred 😍😍 im gonna have to try it!
I love this idea of food from around the world! I also love your bloopers 😅 I have tried many of your recipes and they never disappoint so I will definitely be trying these. Thanks for all you do! 😘❤️
I'm so glad to hear it, Denise, and thank you! I hope you enjoy these as well! 🥞
Amazing recipes
Pancakes are one of my favourites 😊
Would love to see more dishes with Noodles & Pasta from around the world
You and Rainbow Plant Life are my favorite food bloggers on the internet! Thank you for all of the recipes! I was looking to find a veggie pancake and boom, here it is!
Another pancake video from around the world (there are so many!!) , dumplings around the world and breakfasts around the world. Love your videos Sadia!🫶🏼🫶🏼
I would love to see a utensil tour! Like your go to skillets, bowls, favorite knives etc.. your channel is always so aesthetically pleasing
Sadia making our weekend better. Absolutely love your videos! So much love to every one of you
Thanks for spending your weekend with us, Niharika 🤗
Yay new video! I'm so excited to watch this later with my family ☺️
Love that you are making Kaiserschmarrn - it´s a staple here in austria! We love it and I will definitely try your version of it!
I am soo happy everytime you upload!!
Loved the video as always...XOXO
The bloopers at the end are just precious 💞
OMG!!! That looks unreal. Totally love it. Thaanks ❤❤❤
I actually wanted to learn to cook and so when i saw this, i had to see it. You are so amazing.❤ thanks for inspiring me to live a better life. I love seeing your videos when im sad but also to see your cooking videos.
Hello from Austria! I loved the Kaiserschmarrn recipe 🙂! Your videos are truly inspiring!
Thanks so much KH! 💕
Amazing!!! All look amazing, especially the okonomiyaki!!! 🤤🤤🤤
OMG!!! the beauty in this video is so satisfying!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Omg love those!! Congrats on your fourth million too! Well done.
This is awesome!! Love to try different recipes from around the world!!❤
Love this! Especially love the small science lesson on why certain milks work better. Would love more of that as it really is helpful to know!
Those pancakes look yummy 😋 Another inspirational video Sadia and love 🥰 it.
Everything you post just looks so good!
So yummmmm thanks Sadia and PUL Team 🎉❤
Wiiii I was so happy to see Sanja, I'm from Slovenia aswell and it's really nice to see someone from our small country🥰
I'm definitely trying that okonomiyaki this weekend! I would love an "around the world" series with you Sadia! What about tofu versions or taco/wrap-like recipes from different countries but PUL style!!! FUN!!!!
such a pleasure to watch! i was expecting something like the dutch 'poffertjes' but it turned out to be totally different. still really cool though, and i would love to see more videos in this kind of format 😊
Haha poffertjes would have been great! I'm adding it to the list. In the meantime, if you have a poffertjes pan, you can coat it well in vegan butter, and add the 'fluffy American pancakes' batter to it. I think it'd work rather well. The butter would help make the outside crispy, and the inside might be more fluffy than is traditional, but I imagine still delicious 🤓
Holy moly, I never did the American pancakes because of the lack of knowing how to make them flufy. I did it and it was PERFECT!!! Saving it and passing to the whole family. Thank you ❤
Your recipes always turn out so delicious and pretty looking!
I made the okonomiyaki a few days ago with a friend. We were both craving for japanese food as we went there a few months ago.
It was soooooo good. Really amazing recipe. Thank you for that :)
Thanks for inspiring me in so many ways. You influenced me in so many ways . I am always grateful to you ❤
I'm grateful to you, thanks so much for being here 💕
Love the concept from recipes from around the world. Would love to see some dutch pancakes next time like pannenkoeken or poffertjes.
You guys just keep getting better and better all the time! ❤
Excited to try these recipes! Hi from Canada 👋🏻
This is such a fun idea for a video theme! If you ever feel like making a part two, I think Dosas or Breton Galettes would me more awesome international pancakes to attempt :)
My grandma used to make an amazing goulash. I'd love to see a recipe! Thank you for these!!!
Everything looks so appetizing 🤤
No way!! Just within the last two weeks I've been looking all over for dairy free pancake recipes! Awesome! Thank you so much
what a happy saturday morning gift-- a PUL upload 💚! the okonomiyaki looks amazing 😍 i've never had it, but i now need it in my life. thanks for the vid, PUL 💚✨
I'm properly obsessed, I hope you enjoy it Mara! Wishing you a lovely weekend 🌻
@@PickUpLimes thanks, girl; and you as well 🫶
Thank you for the Austrian recipe! I miss it so much. I’d also love to see the jiggly, Japanese pancakes!
Wow! Yesterday I thought about how I didn't eat Kaiserschmarrn in such a long time and that I would love a good vegan recipe for it - and here it is! 😱 Thank so much for sharing! 😃
Everything looks so yummy!!!
Waaaaaaw all of this looks so amazing
And yes.. you too are inspiring. Thank you for all the wonderful meals that you make . 😊
@@Doodle-hv4yh Hi. I also wanted to say that the food looks so good, and healthy that I would like to eat that way. Actually, I am now. You provide information on how and what to eat, and how to stay healthy as well. A well balanced food intake. Thank you for doing these . ☺️
That okonomiyaki looks so delicious and authentic! I've definitely craving it now :)
I am from Austria, Kaiserschmarrn was one of y favorite dishes ever, when I started eating plant based, I could not make it does good. I am excited to try your version!!
Yes, loving this around the world! Keep it up ❤❤❤❤
Seeing a Slovenian was such a nice surprise! 🥰We actually also make Kaiserschmarrn here ☺
I just found your page and omg! Absolutely amazing. I’ve been trying to get back into vegetarian with some vegan again, which I hard for me being in a European country that’s ALL meat currently.
Your page is fun, easy, unique and I have watched almost ALL. Thank you for being inspiring, funny, and a helpful light to my journey personally. 🖤🖤
I live in Austria. People eat Kaiserschmarren for lunch. The first time I saw it, I couldn’t believe it. As an Italian I would it for breakfast or as a dessert 😅. They usually eat a sauce like the one you made to go with it but it’s made with plums.
I love this!! I’m excited to try these! Recipes of easy wrapped style foods from around the world would be neat! Dishes that can be made in 15-20 minutes for quick lunch or dinner.
I like the little touch of changing the backround music according to each country :)
Hi Sadia and dear Pickuplimes team 👋 Thank you for always providing with these awesome recipe ideas. There are a few meals that snuck their way into my regular cooking. 😄
I'm so looking forward to the launch of your app which I hope will be soon?
Btw I think you pronounced Kaiserschmarrn perfectly. 😉 greetings from 🇨🇭
Those Okonomiyaki and Kaiserschmarrn look amazing (and fun)! Love this idea of recipes from around the world - - would love to know how you'd veganize Ras Malai, perhaps? Or, anything that comes in a break/dough pocket (arepas, pierogis, dumplings, spring rolls, ravioli, etc)!
Great video! I would recommend you making Swedish Råraka! It’s a savoury potato-pancake, traditionally served with red onion and sour cream toppings. Scandinavian food can be tricky sometimes (speaking as a swede myself) but Råraka is the best and you can really be creative with toppings 😃
Thanks for a great channel Sadia!
I love this meals around the world idea!!
I usually think veggies first in a recipe so I would love for you to do an ‘around the world’ for a certain type of vegetable. Like cauliflower you can go from Japan, to India to Germany. I’m also curious what to do with root-vegetables like rutabaga and celeric so if you can make recipiees for those next autumn would be great! Love your content!
Oh that's such a brilliant idea - I love it! Definitely adding it to our list of video ideas 🤓 thank you so much!
These look so good! Love this channel 🥰. Empanadas would be amazing 💜
I would be really interested into your vegan versions of Börek, Spanakopita, Tiropitakia etc. 😍🤤
I love your recipes, attitude and just your way of being 🥰
Thank you for sharing your amazing recipes and thoughts
Love this video! Was expecting a Dutch pancake on the list. Maybe you can do it on another video? I had my kraamzorg make it for me and it was ooohhh so good!
I love this video! for the kaiserschmarrn, it's pretty normal to soak the raisins in rum rather than apple juice. Maybe makes it less good for you but it's super delicious (and most of the alcohol cooks off anyway)
Love the app, especially the shopping list feature!! Such a timesaver.
I really enjoyed this concept of worldwide recipes. Thanks
Your "Kaiserscharrn" sounds wonderful ❤ Greetings from Vienna!
Asthetically pleasing food creations 😍
Oooh this seems so yummy! I also love Korean pajeon and Chinese scallion pancakes! But totally enjoy the around the world idea!
Yes-this is exciting, more types of food! I have always wanted to see someone make Nigerian jollof!
I really enjoy watching you cook... Mainly because of the serene calm atmosphere of your kitchen and of course for the recipes.
What brand cookware are you using? It too is very aesthetically pleasing.
I wish there were more videos with everyday ingredients. Making some of these recipes ,as wonderful as they seem- is an event.
Enjoyed this! Such an interesting theme! Ramen/ noodle dishes around the world would be great!
Your videos never disappoint me 😊
Yes I would love to see such recipes from different countries ❤️
Pick Up Limes drops a video, I stop everything to watch...I'm only human!
🤗
Lool same, I just did thatt 😄
Would love more international meal videos like this! Lunch, dinner, and snacks!
Love this theme and learning about international dishes!!
Since you were on the topic of eggs, i would like to see your take on French quiche. Not sure if you've already done a recipe
Finnish spinach pancakes aka pinaattiletut! I also love to mealprep them by baking in oven instead of flipping each one.
In Slovenija we say kaiserschmarrn - šmorn
Živjo Sanja pozdravčki iz Slovenije

I really appreciate the vegan okonomiyaki recipe! I've lived in Japan and it's one of the foods that I would like to eat again - now in a vegan version🤩
Can't wait to try these recipes!!
Even going to try a savory version of the US pancakes.
How about a socca recipe?
I have been watching your videos and learnt so much from this chanel. You're amazing and helped me soo much for having a better relationship with food. I appreciate you and you love, wish I could hug you, have a wonderful day
That really means the world to read, OG, thank you for taking the time to share this. Sometimes we create content and put it out into the world and don't know how it's being perceived or received by others, so I'm super grateful to hear it's been helpful in some way. I appreciate YOU, and sending you big virtual hug 🤗
I would love a video where you try different wholesome, homemade pizza bases, for example from chickpea flour, wholewheat flour, oat flour, lentils🥰🌱 but all these pancakes looked so yummy, no difference to ones with eggs😊💪🏼🌱
