This is one of my favorite songs of all time and back in 2004 or 2005 I was working in the international conference centre in the Hague, the Netherlands. One evening Jackson Browne was performing there and he joined up with a local Eagles tribute band. For a whole afternoon they were rehearsing this song. So for one wonderful afternoon, I had Jackson Browne singing my favorite song for me live while I worked just down the corridor.
my older sister met jackson browne back in the early 1980's in Ohio when he stopped at a gas station she was working at ... nice man...

Just saw him live in Mobile, AL on 7/25/23. He put on an amazing show and played from 7:30-10:45 with only a 15 min intermission.

My wife and I drive through Winslow almost every summer and each time we have to go by "the corner" for a bit. She had our names put on one of the bricks a few years ago for our anniversary. Best gift she ever gave me--proved to me she "gets" me.

Saw Jackson in concert in Melbourne in November 2023, he was in rare form. Yes, he may have sung this classic every other concert of his life, however was disappointed he didn't include in the Australian tour setlist.
He was in the best live form of all time.
Fabulous backing band, Vin McCallum was an absolute stand-out on slashing lead. Greg wasn't in the touring band.
A concert for the ages.

"Jackson Browne originally began writing "Take It Easy" in 1971 for his own eponymous debut album but was having difficulty finishing the song. Browne's friend Glenn Frey - who lived in the same [Echo Park] California apartment building as Browne - had heard an early version and later asked Browne about it. Browne then played the unfinished second verse that begins with "Well, I'm a-standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona...", and Frey finished the verse with "Such a fine sight to see. It's a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford, slowin' down to take a look at me." Browne was very happy with the result and suggested that they finish the song together. The resulting song became the first track on the Eagles' debut album and was released as their first single." - Wiki
