RATT was a huge band back in the day. And they were originally called Mickey Ratt, which was the name of a porno comic that you could get at the news stand and in the newspaper machines that sold the papers with phone sex and escort ads. Disney had a problem with the association so they changed their name to just RATT. Their 1st album came out at the same time as Motley Crue. They were the headliner at the first major concert I went to with Britny Fox and Kix opening. Years later, I've actually become friends with the guy who was the drummer for Britny Fox, Johnny Dee. He's been a friend for around 15 years now.
Yes, OUT OF THE CELLAR hit around the time Motley's TOO FAST FOR LOVE and SHOUT AT THE DEVIL were going nuclear. I saw RATT in San Diego in 1984, Lita Ford opened, great show, and I still have the ticket stub.
I am not a huge Ratt fan, but I love this song for some reason. It's hard to stay still while this song is playing, even if you're just jumping up and down.
I kind of like their song, Lay it Down. Interesting video. Other glam rock songs I'd love to see you react to: Cherry Pie (Warrant), Cum on Feel the Noise (Quiet Riot), Still of the Night (Whitesnake), Once Bitten, Twice Shy (Great White), Nothing but a Good Time (Poison), Love in an Elevator (Aerosmith), Calling on You (Stryper).
It drives me nuts when people consider RATT a one-hit-wonder. Lay it Down, Wanted Man, You're in Love, Dance, Way Cool Junior, Nobody Rides for Free, Body Talk... all radio hits, and featured in movies
What should we react to next from Ratt?

Back in the Day we said Rockin All The Time!! (RATT) Cause it just made sense back then.
Milton Berle, known for his cross dressing antics in the 50's, was the uncle of the band's manager at the time, Marshall Berle.
They were actually called Mickey Ratt the record label asked them to change it so the then went to just Ratt
Milton Berle was in the video because his nephew was Marshall Berle the manager of Ratt

Ratt wasn’t big?? They were huge!!! A bunch of songs you couldn’t get away from , maybe you were sleeping in the 80’s
Exactly the 80's hair metal popularity ladder was Motley Crue, then Ratt!!!!
He's clueless .
Ratt means steering wheel in Swedish 😊
