"You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?" One of the best comebacks in movie history. Also, Fun Fact: Bob Barker's only request when asked to be in the film was that he won the fight, so they had to do a quick rewrite to let him win.
Fun note: Carl's missing right arm in Happy Gilmore is actually a tribute to his Dillon character in Predator. In both movies, he loses his right arm and dies.
The tall man was a famous villain in 1970s 007 movies: The Spy Who Loved me and Moonraker. His villain name was Jaws because he had a mouth piece containing sharp stainless steel teeth.
It's was so sad how arthritis or some other things affected him at the end. It was so bad he could hardly stand up. In this movie he was never showed him walking or from the waste down because he was leaning on something every time. When it looks like he's running he was just acting like he was. Just moving his arms. R.I.P. Jaws.😢
When this first came out, it was instantly my favorite. Still is to this day. The 90s kicked butt for some of the best comedies. Adam Sandler was behind more of them than most people realize.
"When the sun's out, the buns out" is something I'm stealing from BJ for the rest of this eternity. That's why I love this channel; you both stay being yourselves which is what counts more than anything and everything. No care for what other people think except being both of you on your own terms. This is why this channel is WINNING.
MOVIE FACT- Bob Barker would only sign onto the movie if he beat up Happy RIP 🪦: Chubbs 🐊, Grandma 👵🏾, Bob Barker 👴🏼, and giant with nail in head (he played Jaws in James Bond)
Great reaction to my favorite Sandler film. Filmed in Vancouver. In the movie, Grandma's house was auctioned off at $275 K. It's actually worth about $6 million. ✌️❤️
His Caddy in the movie is "Allen Covert" Who has been in a lot of his movies including Big Daddy, Wedding Singer, Little Nicky, Waterboy, Mr. Deeds, Anger Management, 50 First dates. etc
At my job they took out the TV antenna in the break room so suddenly we were stuck watching movies that people opted to bring in. I had to sit through a month of nothing but Disney movies playing in the background while taking my lunch so I relented and brought some of my own movies in to break the monotony. Happy Gilmore was the only one I brought in that had universal appeal between both the strictly rated G crowd and those with more mature taste. Just a good fun movie all around.
Carl Weathers was great. I loved when Carl played a frugal, stew loving, caricature of himself in one of the funniest shows ever in Arrested Development. It was so silly but so hilarious.
This was the first time we saw Allan Covert as Happy's Caddy. He is in almost every Adam Sandler movie and also stars on Grandma's Boy from 2006. A very funny film. The entire OG cast, save Carl Weathers( RIP) are in the sequel coming, soon.
@@justinpitcock5312 Super early Jonah Hill 2 years before Super Bad. His small cameo in The 40 Year Old Virgin was cool and he was a housemate in Knocked Up, too.

The big tall fella that plays Mr. Larsen is none other than Richard Kiel, the same actor who played the classic James Bond bad guy with metal teeth, Jaws. He was over 7 feet tall.
One fond memory i have with my douche older step brother, was that he showed me this movie one night when he invited me to camp in his room. I couldn't stop laughing, we damn near wore the VHS cassette out.
I don't think I've ever laughed as hard at a movie scene as I did when Happy got his ass kicked by Bob Barker. 😂 Bob Barker did his own fighting in that scene. They told him there would be a stunt double, but Barker said "I know how to fight!" I assume a stunt double did the tumbling part, but Barker threw the punches!
Man this movie is a good one from my Childhood. I enjoyed it a lot. Also fun info. When the movie played on TV they included a deleted scene. After Happy Did the Subway commercial and they went to get the house back, there is a scene where they are getting the Grandma out of the retirement community. Happy was talking to Hal, the orderly, and comments how the grandma has been telling him everything he had been doing to her. Hal tried to dismiss the comments as the grandma going senile, but started to think Happy was believing him...until Happy threw him out a window.

Funny thing, Adam Sandler and Bob Barker re-created the fight scene in Bob Barker's hospital room before he died. Also, Adam Sandler directs The Price is Right now. The guy y'all thought was Andre the Giant is actually the actor that plays Jaws in the James Bond movies with Roger Moore. He was also in Cannonball Run 2 opposite a very young Jackie Chan.
Having one of the greatest golfers ever (Lee Trevino) doing those short cameos just shaking his head always cracked me up. This movie gave us so many timeless one-liners. My favourite is "Well, real estate speculation is a hobby of mine"
P.s. I grew up in a hockey town. My 24 year old mild, caring Libra Son is a great hockey player who sticks up for others on the team & takes no shite. I absolutely love when he’s in a hockey fight. (My 1st crush at 3 years old was #16 Derek Sanderson, The Turk. Amazingly rough hockey fighter

Par is the term used for how many strokes it _should_ take to finish the hole (typically accounting for 2 on the green), so short holes are a par 3, average are par 4, longer holes are par 5. If you make it in less strokes, there are special terms for that: 1 under is a birdie, 2 under is an eagle, 3 under is an albatross or a double-eagle, and a hole-in-one is also called an ace. If you go OVER, however, you start with the bogey at 1 over, and then double/triple/quadruple bogey etc. Typically in tournaments and official play a 'mulligan' is not allowed (a special term for a do-over). In casual play though you'll hear it a bit, especially when you so badly flub a shot that honestly shouldn't have happened, you'll just be like "yeah I'm gonna take a mulligan on that one" and if you're playing with friends or whatever it's usually ok, but not more than like once or twice. The thing about golf though is it's a game of finesse, not just of power, and too many starting out just want to crush the ball even when not teeing off. You gotta be strategic about where you want to place your ball as you get closer to the green, so you can finish with as few strokes as possible. The short game is more important than the long game when it comes to that.
This is the first movie I can remember watching in my life. I was like 4 years old and my parents ended up buying me a set of junior sized golf clubs for Christmas because I loved it so much.
Happy Gilmore in the movie is endearing. Happy Gilmore in real life is that guy you read about in the paper who accidentally killed someone in a bar fight. It’s a great movie, but those kinds of people are dangerous. Rage can ruin lives in an instant.
I love all the references to other Happy Madison movies in Happy Gilmore. The guy who kept telling Happy to send the ball home was also in the movie Grandmas Boy. Chubbs has a small cameo in Little Nicky.
