The Speedmaster I was looking for, I am a huge fan of two tone in general, the Sedna one is exactly the one I would love to own
Sedna would be my pick, but you’re in bi-metal Daytona territory price-wise. £17100 here in the UK, against £17800 for the Rolex (following their 1st June price increase). This is a 35% premium over the steel. The same premium for a Speedmaster puts it just over £10000. Let’s say the £4600 extra for the Daytona is purely for the gold, the Speedy should be around £12k max. Nobody is paying a £10k premium for these, no matter how attractive they may be.
The moonshine gold(yellow) is a really nice watch in person.

Had no idea these were coming, so paused the video and went straight to Omega to have a look on there! I've always liked the DD145.022 and I think I still do more than either of these but I do like the Sedna dial a lot too. Unsure on the Moonshine initially, possibly because the dial is the inverse of the DD145.022 dial but I think the Sedna might make the wishlist...

Oh dear… what has Omega done? Ever really been a fan of 2-tone watches. Solid yellow gold Speedy Pro with gold bracelet, gold dial and black subdials. That’s the jam right there.
I find the Sedna gold a little too pink for my liking, but the Moonshine gold is Stunning.
I little bit out of my price bracket mind. 😉

Well executed. Likely to be sought after watches, this is their jam. Speaking for myself, a Pro simply needs to be a simple, manual wound black dial tool watch and everything else. I might take casual note of, but that’s about it. Nice pair of watches.
Love these. Surprised we waited this long. 15,500 US would have been my guess but 18k US is a lot for this watch. Double the price of a steel. Is that 9k (US) worth of gold in your mind? Save 3k on secondary in 2 years. Demand will shrink fast for the yellow which I personally prefer.

Is this a recent release? I have not seen this announced this year. Very cool it's the professional line. I think I would have preferred a two tone bracelet where the center is not gold. There are good examples of what I'd prefer on the Speedometer Reduced models in two tone.

The white dial on a white strap would look incredible 🤩
That yellow panda dial would looks soo good with the full solid moonshine gold! I find the original panda dial on moonshine gold with the Au750 stamp in the middle of the dial a bit jarring.
That full gold dial with black subdials you're referring to is a beautiful watch when you see it in person.

Ziet er mooi uit, maar kan de prijzen van Omega (zeker met wisselkoersen) niet meer begrijpen. Maar even rustig doorkijken wat er aan de collectie toegevoegd gaat worden.
I like the moonshine panda…reminds me of my old Seiko 7t32….will there be a leather band variant for those who can’t afford the bracelet variant?
Got my polar dial 3861 Speedmaster on 22/05. It is a stunning piece. All other watches have now been relegated in wrist time. If i were to go for one of these it would definitely be the Sedna gold. That hue is amazing on any of the pieces they use it.
Love the sedna gold, but on screen I think it clashes a bit with the steel. Probably amazing in real life, though.

I like the yellow gold version better than the rose, and I refuse to refer to them as Moonshine and Sedna. Not everything needs a branding.
Two tone is definitely not for me. Love my 3861 sapphire sandwich. It’s the perfect Speedy for me.

they look nice but i hope omega doesn't put a million variations into the main speedmaster line like they have with the diver 300m line. it just confuses things and stops any particular watch from ever becoming a classic.
Wow 4 new speedies in a year! Contrast on the Sedna gold one is better. Price is a bit high vs the white dial steel considering the quantity of gold (but that’s always the case for gold in watches). Daytona in steel $15k vs in two tone $20k while Speedy in steel $8k vs two tone $18k. The latter should be ~$13k.
If they thought the would compete with the two tone Rolexes they are quite mistaken. The combination of colors on these speedys is horrendous and they are quite overpriced.

Everything… but the price. Just like IWC’s epic failure w the Ingenieur, an opportunity to bring new customers to the brand squandered. At $12-12.5k USD it would be great. So the best it will do is sell to the Omega fanboys.

Love the moonshine one, stunning. Would be interested but the price of £17k. Almost 20k euros is way too high. Vs say a two tone Rolex, omega can’t justify this price. Real shame, can see them in secondary market dropping below £12k within 12/18 months
All I can say is: they know their consumer. 45+ upper class not going for rappers watches, James Bond fans, think the Moonlanding/Nasa connection is cool, willing to spend that money. These will sell, just not to same people in the market for a jubilee two-tone datejust. Market is big though, many people have a lot of money these days.
I like the full steel and the old full gold Speedmasters. These new two-tone versions are not for me, don't like them at all 😵💫😊

They really looks great but prices are insane as for omega. Sorry but Rolex become cheaper than those omegas. Not worth it.

I prefer yellow gold over pink gold. Yellow gold is more manly. Pink gold should only be worn by women. You're trigged as you know I'm right.
sedna gold is more bronzey/red than pink. it doesn't quite look that way in the video but if you see it in real life it's a lot darker than regular pink gold
The prices on these are ridiculous. Why are they charging more than double for two tone pieces? Rolex, a brand that can get away with almost anything doesn’t do this. Swatch for the L.
Very disappointing, higher retail price than a Rolex two-tone Sub, a very cheap steel clasp with no gold inlay. Expect a bloodbath on the secondary market...

Its not comparable with Submariner, and its a very nice watch. But completely agree with your point, secondary market will roast it and dictate its popularity *like everything in watch world, which will be highly degraded…
@@vladansretenovic1952 It is however (in the UK) only £600 less than the comparable bi-metal Daytona. Nobody will take the Speedy with such a small price difference. Also, the price for the gold in the Rolex is £4500, but for the Speedy the addition of gold costs £9500. This is in no way justifiable.
as much as i love Omega and the speedmaster, these are just too rolexy for my liking. please dont turn into that awful brand.
The dials don’t match up with the gold colors, big mistake! And for almost the same price you can get a Rolex Daytona in two-tone.

I love my Speedy but sorry, no thank you. The 70's and 80's happened over 30 years ago. Looks very dated to be honest. If they offered a full gold dial with black sub dials or black dial with gold sub dials. IMO that would look way better and it won't look like a watch from 1977 for a old man in his 80's (like Joe Biden).
I can't be the only one who thinks two-tone watches look incredibly cheap and gaudy. I absolutely detest them.
i don't mind them but there's a definite 1980s vibe to them. & i always think the wearer would've preferred a full gold watch but couldn't afford it :D :D :D
