I have a Litra Litropro bzI color and it's been great. I think 3m makes the velcco or velcro like material,; it's industrial strength and maintains a solid connection.
Hey Tom, business is super dry for me right now. Been doing this for 3 years now. Went from Pro2 to Pro3. Graduated from lots of small jobs to medium jobs, to big jobs including the Great Wolf Lodge in Perryville, MD. If ever you need anybody to scan in the Northeastern U.S. I would love the opportunity to show my skills. I’m just south of Binghamton, NY in PA. Thanks for all your great info.
I’m very disappointed Matterport didn’t come out with a built in light or a lighting accessory or light mounting system for the Pro 3. I scan for insurance, I’m in burned out and weather damaged buildings a lot, scanning for 10 hours a day with an hour break for lunch and charge. No power and no light as windows are boarded up. If you’ve never been in a burned up building the blackness almost begins to mess with your eyes; it’s all consuming. I use my pro 2 with a Ryobi 1800 lumen flood light gaffer taped to the top with a 6 aH battery. I get 6 hours on full brightness. These little lights will undoubtedly be short lived on runtime. I wish Matterport would have thought more about this, no way my setup will work with the Pro3. Any suggestions for more light with better run time would be appreciated.
I agree... Matterport should have some "accessories" such as lighting to help with scanning. The insurance space and "dark" use cases definitely benefit from having lighting.

Does this work outside? Ie at night or darker skies
hi, yes, you can use it in darker areas/at night.
I thought about doing exactly the same thing , isn’t the light device in line of the laser scanning
Hi, no I had no issues with the location of the light.
Does the mount not stick to the camera body? How were you able to just take the light off so easily?
oh i didn't actually stick it on during the demo but yes it does stick well.
What area are you in?
based in the SF Bay Area.
Pretty much impossible to find these Litra torches now. I believe they went out of business.
