Thanks for the video! Ive seen one of these drop on a metal pipe once before with an unsettling noise being a result of the drop, must've been the spinning mechanism being slightly displaced causing more vibration.

Make sure u guys remove the copper coil !! If u don’t an u put the air tag close to ur air u can still hear it, remove coil and it’s gone !!

Great video. I wonder how you manage the storage and plans from Matterport for each project. Do you create a new account for each client and then transfer it to them so that they keep paying for the plan? Thanks for any recommendations. And thanks for the video.

I find it works well enough for quick turnaround jobs I will often bring the staged image back into photoshop and do a layer mask to even out some of the oddities

its great until you receive tables with 3 legs, the staging of designer table toppers are mixed up. It is a bit iffy if you have a room with dual purposes. AI will need to evolve on this one.

taking apart a $8K 360 camera......I'm crying...but I can't look away.

I am a flatazz tourist when it comes to apps on my phone... I needed to make a decent generalized floorpan of a property I am selling. I started with a tape measure..'no way, even taking half the day was I going to make a decent drawing. I went on CL looking for a draftsman - no response. I stumbled on CC and looked around at a couple of other apps. It took my second try to get a decent walkaround. (I shudda practiced first ..and planned the route w/o the camera going..) You folks in the trades know all about this, but this tourist got a decent print on the second try. Thanks folks. Jim/Maryland

Can i use Matterport pro 3 on starter/free plan ? how accurate is iphone 15pro max with reality ?

A very helpful video! Is your iPad a Wi-Fi + Cellular version? I am wondering if you upload your scans to your Matterport server space as you go or if you have a Wi-Fi-only version iPad, if you wait to upload the scans until you return to your office. Thanks in advance!

Tom, Thanks for the video. When you have to return to do a second shoot, do you delete the first? Am I correct you can not update the tours if you miss a room and you have to shoot again?

I do the samething, I always follow up with field measurements. Then I get back to the office, Pull the xyz file into cloud compare and it only differs by mm’s. Quick tip, turn on the “add windows/mirror” tool to ger rid of the scan bubbles. I use adobe fresco and a screen shot to take notes on.

Do you have a different rate for outdoor and indoor scans? I suppose that for outdoor scans, you space out each scan a lot more than indoor. Do you also price lower when scan are larger? (For example $3/m2 for spaces 100m2 to 300m2 and $1 for spaces over 10,000m2). Thanks for your videos!

You're a life saver. My camera fell out of my bag and the screen stopped working and It would have taken over a month to get it back if I sent it off to be fixed. But with this video I was confident enough to open it up and found my ribbon cables had just detached. It's working just fine now. Thanks!

Can i ask, what holder/mount do you use for the Ipad? My company just purchased the pro3 and i have been deep diving into the best use and functionality of it. I used it for the first time today with my iphone, and using an ipad seems sooooo much easier!

Hello, I learned today that the different settings standard, medium and high density do not affect the image quality. Only point clouds and depth information with LIDAR laser? So if you scan an area only for the visuals, then you only need the fastest setting.
