Absolutely gorgeous, BUT, it looks damn near like the 7th Gen Camaro would look like. Looks too much like a Camaro. Not that its a bad thing (Im a 4th gen SS owner) but if youre going to stop making the Camaro, and then make a couple subtle changes and then say youre bringing back the Impala SS, nah, thats a HUGE L for Chevy/GM... But the car is STUNNING!!

Chevy IMPALA?? Ridiculous. This WAS probably the next generation CAMARO design. It just did'nt go into production because of dismal Camaro sales. Why that is , I'll never know. Too many reasons , too many factors . IF it would have gone into production , this is exactly what the next generation Camaro needed. Look at that picture. Two air scoop intakes on the hood , air extractors on the side and rear of the car , fresh look rear spoiler, front fascia looks wonderful , and those wheels look damn good. Everybody complains about the interior. You can't have your cake and eat it too folks. If you want an interior that looks like a million bucks , go buy yourself some exotic European car that costs that much. I want a Camaro that looks like the one in this video , powerful engine , red caliper and powerful brakes , heavy duty suspension , the four important heat exchangers , in the 70K or 75K range. That's what the 2014 and 2015 Z28 was priced at. That was a fantastic machine. Everybody complained about the Z28 price , yet no one complains about buying a Corvette on the high side of $100,000 dollars. Why ? Because the Corvette technology is so far above the Camaro's ?? Give me a break !! Is your car going to live at the track 365 days a year ?? Is everyone a professional race car driver nowadays ?? The Camaro has more performance potential than anybody could EVER use on the street OR the track. People don't appreciate what they have until they LOSE IT. I for one am mourning the DEATH of the Camaro and what might have been.

So I'm a staunch gm fan and have been all my life as an adult. But... I've gotta tell ya this. Lately?.. I have become very frustrated with the brand. Not only are they lacking in practicality, they also drag with innovation and forward thinking, they really suck with value retention. More and more I'm looking at Ford and Dodge because these are brands that live on. There is no blending going on there! A mustang is a mustang and a charger is a charger!! No cross breeding. This is a serious problem! I'm almost sure I will be driving one of the latter very shortly as a result.

I always say, if G.M., placed the same amount of effort into the Camaro as they did the Corvette, the Camaro would still be with us. Please don't bring that car back like that.

G.M., had the Camaro and Firebird, the Chevelle and Tempest or G.T.O, they were the same dagon car. The fascia was just different. The same thing can be said about the challenger and the Cuda. Same car. Tweaked here and there, but basically the same car. Other than the Corvette, the American car manufacturer really did not produce anything that was able to compete with the Europeans. The American muscle car was only able to go fast in a straight line but don't ask them to turn. As for NASCAR, it's a joke. You do is turn left. That is about as exciting as the proverbial watching paint try. Now I admit the last few years, the American car manufacturer has improved immensely. I hope they continue to improve.
@kennethbillups3794 I agree on some points. The only thing that is different is the fact that the Trans Am did not look anything like a Camaro. The Firebird and Trans Am basically same different design and specs. There's no foreign car that can touch a true American Muscel car.

This is definitely a catcher at first I love the hell cat in the Corvette but this car right here this Chevy SS impala I want it does it come with a supercharged V-8 that that would definitely definitely definitely would be a real break right now. Fraud. Whatever it is, it's not an Impala. That ship has sailed. Chevy is killing the Camaro, why would they build a new twin? The previous Impala SS cars were not successful. Those of the 80's and 90's. If you want a performance 4 door, go out and find a 2014-2017 Chevy SS. The cars that were built for Chevy by the Holden GM plant in Australia. The car is an outstanding modern day, muscle car. Acquiring one now will be pricy. Low mileage units are bringing $40-45K, or basically what they sold for new. If you want modern day, full size Chevy muscle, the SS is your car.
I wud build it w nostalgic design as it was in 65 only w a choices of 4-6-v8 engine .auto or 6speed Manuel w 2 or 4dr . About 700hp at wheels .sales wud fucking soar . Why not???

The renderings are for a modified Camaro SS or Zl1. Remember the announcement said unofficial. Chevrolet has not said anything about resurrecting the Impala.
