Thank you for all your videos. I really appreciate you. I am doing 2 toddler's. Liam 28 inch and Katie Marie. Also 28 inches. I was wondering if you mottled them like this baby? Am new to toddler reborns. But painted greenware for porcelain dolls a long time. Thank you for any advice. Also, do you paint boy nails or just leave them plain? I'm good with China paint for porcelain baby dolls just new to reborns. Thank you again. Great videos! It's just wicked hard to hear you.
Thank you, I'm glad to have you! Sound was definitely a huge issue in these earlier videos, I did get a good headset with microphone, so the sound is much improved in my more recent videos! I paint toddlers the same way, but with a few tweaks, mainly mottling with much lighter layers. Older babies don't usually have the same defined mottling as younger babies, but you still want to achieve a lot of skin depth. So you want to use to the mottling layers only to build skin depth and skip the pronounced mottle layers.
Thank you so much. I meant painting bisque after cleaning and sanding greenware it is put in the Kiln and turned to bisque for painting. Anyway I left the boy nails but did paint a thin layer so not girly . Do u paint boy nails on reborn boys or just girls. And thank you so much for answering about mottling these beautiful babies you have oh and are the hair wigs like porcelain dolls? What size because their heads r so much smaller. Sorry I am so new to this hobby.
@@karacline6088 I do nails on both boys and girls. The babies I do vary in size, but most that I paint are newborn size (18"-21"). Hair is individually rooted, I don't use wigs at all, although some artists do. I find that rooting individual hairs looks a lot more natural, I will be doing a video on rooting in the future.
