2 time Two Stroke World Championship winner Robbie Wageman had a Yamaha YZ300 2 Stroke built for the 2020 race to defend his title. This bike features a host of trick components from Athena, FMF, and more to get Robbie as competitive as possible for racing. Here is a late afternoon at Glen Helen Raceway with Robbie shaking his bike down for the very first time. The track was rough, it was dusty, but it was the perfect time to get a few laps in before racing began on Saturday. Robbie wasn't able to capture the 2020 title but that doesn't mean he won't be back for revenge in 2021. We hope you enjoy this unique two stroke video we have created.

I rode the ESR yz 363 last weekend, it was the fastest bike I have ever been on in over 3 decades of ridign. power right out of the hole, to the top end. it was amazing!!

Always enjoy the 2T Videos. Had a few years on the KX500 maybe 250 hours, every ride was an experience to remember. Couple of trips to Hospital, broke my shoulder one time and the Young Doctor asked me what I was riding. Told him I was on a KX500 and he gave me the expedited trip to surgery. Not bad. Turned out he was a rider himself, KX250F trail rider.
I just can't help but watch this over and over again.

Hats off to the tuner/builder! That engine sounds like it's setup sharp as a razor with cycle parts matched to go. The carb sizing and fueling must be on focus like a laser to pull like that! Truly amazing!!
Miss being able to ride so badly, hearing him riding the pipe almost brings a tear to my eyes it sounds so nice. Can almost smell it! Miss those days!

Who worked on and developed that bike from a 250 to 300??
WITHOUT A DOUBT, of my 3000 dirtbikes I've ridden...THAT is one of the top 5 sounding bikes Ive have ever heard! Someone has stripped and balanced those internals before refitting,
along with main jetting and pipe tuning as thats PULLING like a 500cc up those hills!
Even at idle... it has a solid doc and crisp - doc-doc-doc-doc.........docdoc....doc-doc

Excellent! Great running YZ!!
Super nice camera / drone footage / sound track. Bike rips and def has a lower bumble bee rumble vs a 250. I'd love to know what the final jetting was for the Athena big bore / V Force reeds combo. The bike sounded like it pulled all day long yet was crisp as a well baked apple pie. I'll look for video of the race, I'd love to see how this bike pulled vs others on 250.

I had Eric Gorr do my 2003 YZ250 into a 295 with the “wider-smoother” power band and race gas head. It pulls 450s up the hill at Mammoth all day long ;)

There's only one way. . . the 2stroke way. More fun, more power, more scares, more finesse you could keep going with it. Japan give us a choice of 4 or 2 and lets go racing.

in this video it *really* looks like a live-action version of the _Motocross Madness 2_ track _Bella’s Backwards_ & I was pissed that when _Motocross Madness 3_ came out for Xbox 360, it was a completely different type of game from _Motocross Madness 1,_ _Motocross Madness 2_ & _MX Unleashed_ (for Xbox Original which was the REAL _Motocross Madness 3)_

BRC 2-strokes out of Canada builds a kit that fits the 19-20-21-22 YZ250 cases.. kit cones with a crank that's got a 80mm stroke a 89mm piston and everything else that's needed tonfit in place of the stock of the show room floor YZ250. It's not a cheap kit at $7,500 but this 2-stroke thing is getting to big to go unnoticed
So this was tuned up to be a 300 but was originally 250 ?
I could not have started off as anything but a 250.

@@charlesboston1 No not possible. Yamaha stopped making big bore mxers 30yrs ago. If you watched the video you would see it's a modern yz chassis with no frame modificasions so no retrofitted engine, you would also notice it's normal yz250 cases, looking at the cylinder you would see Athena stamped on it so it has a piston/cylinder/head kit from Athena installed on it, they make a 300 kit for the yz250. With all the information gleemed from the contents of the video I will say with 100% certainty that this bike could not have started off as anything but a late yz250.
@@rztrzt I'm looking at doing this to my 250, I just blew my barrel so might go with an Athena 300 kit. But do you reckon I can bolt my pipe on or do I need a slightly bigger pipe?
@@slpn9t You can use your stock pipe or any yz250 pipe you like. I suggest heading over to Thumpertalk and reading up on peoples experiences, how they jet for the Athena kit etc
