I like this guy, reminds me of my brother. Hey bro I'm just looking for a cheap yz... then proceeds to throw the entire bike away and builds it into a factory race bike 🤣😂👌 solid gold!
That is one HECK of an extremely nice build of a YZ! Absolutely stunning quality throughout every single little detail. The sound and power💪🔥excellent!
I have a yz325 as well and it’s got the lectron, rekluse auto clutch, v force 3 reeds, big bore, over sized radiators (I ride trails), bonzi suspension plus more, it’s definitely a sweet bike and good for what I do
Absolute kickass bike. I've got an '05 YZ125 and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up also getting a YZ250 at some point, and this is the pinnacle dream configuration for one to have. Didn't know about that RTech plastic kit. I have the UFO restyle kit on mine, which I like, but since it still uses the stock tank which has graphics on it, the white accents on my tank graphics have turned yellow. Ditching the stock tank would be a treat.
Ping almost had some enthusiasm in this one. I like the way he described the power characteristics. And if it was flat on top (which it wasn’t). Good vid
There's 10k or more plus the bike cost... but damn is it gorgeous. Better than a new YZ! Infact, only thing different on the 2022 to the 2006 is in the airbox and intake to get more air. Idk if it would but since the frame should be the same, he could get an intake off a 22 YZ and get more air to the big bore, or just drill some holes as long as he doesnt go over board. The brakes are slightly different in stock trim compared to the 06 but he took care of that and then some... best thing about a YZ/F, SSS forks! I've had bone stock SSS suspension straight off the showroom without even touching clickers and they were better than most of my bikes that I've had sent to Marshall Plumb. And he does amazing work. If you get some SSS suspension and send his way, it'll blow your mind when you get it back. Those forks were way ahead of their time when they came out in 2006, still the best stock fork by far in my opinion. It's hard to get a fork that plush snd still have hold up
Awesome build! Im proud to say that I was at Elsinore for opening weekend loooong ago, and also looped my bike out on the first lap, tearing off the rear fender 😅😂
Beautiful machine. I don’t know if this guy builds bikes professionally, but if not, he probably should. Like to see what he’d do with a later model KDX.
Awesome stuff T.J.! Congrats man! I would get very little sleep after finishing a bike that turned out so incredibly well. I'd be in the garage getting "would you please come to bed" texts from my girlfriend until 3 or 4am every night.
What a top bloke for letting you ride it i gotta take my hat off to him and like you said i wouldn't want to get it dirty, i have done something similar with my 99 model cr125 but haven't gone as far as titanium bolt's and it's nearly finished and im so scared to get it dirty or scratch my sm pro platinum rim's with the talon hubs ,it sounds like me and him had something similar happen, i brought the bike and apparently it had just had this and that done to it and won't have to fix a thing well that was all bullshit and everything i touched or looked at needed fixing or replacing so the nut and bolt restoration began but atleast i have a basically brand new bike even though it's 20 something years old it looks like a sexy bit of a bike
LMAO David......the guy on Vital is Tony. ( Great dude btw ) but he swears by the 325 kit. Second coming of Christ. And TJ , you did such an awesome job on this build man!
@@truthsetsyoufree77 asked esr for availability and pricing a number of times via email, vague and slow responses.. wasn't very confident in using them but like you mentioned, it was the middle of the Kung flu
@@guyonthecouch136 oh tru, his prob a busy man. I didnt even ask haha. Just chose the option for "97 octane outside us", head colour etc. Paid waited and didnt take too long to get. My bike which is my bros now, is a 16 yz250x. Made the bike even better!
Kudos on the complete rebuild! Quick question: I saw another 325 big bore review, and one of the negatives was that there was noticeably more shake around the handlebars because of the larger displacement. Was that effect noticeable on this build? and can you compare it to other comparable models (e.g., other big bores and the KTM 300sx? stock or modded) Thanks again! I really love these 2-strokes. I guess it's because they're all I know (rode in the 90s), but I also cannot get my head around the steep price/maintenance and weight of 4-strokes.
I had a 2019 yz125 and a 2021 yz125x. Kept fouling plugs in both bikes continually and not because I can't ride. Maybe the new design with the new carb will be different. Not going fuel injected in my opinion is a mistake.
That bike is super nice. I would love to get one. Where did the number 13 come from? Oh I forgot, we have no point system so we can just pull a number out of our ass and stick it on. We need the motocross races to be organized and have a point system for all races
This is what they should be racing instead if 450 supercross bikes! Omg that hand built works pipe is all out sexy!
That's without doubt the best looking yz I've ever seen. Absolutely love it 👌
you obviously never seen a YZM500
Yup🤤
It's definitely up there
A really really beautiful MX bike👌
One of the absolute most beautiful bikes I have ever seen. WOW. Worth every penny.
It is amazing as to how ceracotings can really change the look of a bike and you did an excellent job with this!! Sounds great too!
What a sweet bike. Well done TJ 😉👍 👊.. Thnx PING
Agreed! Stunning fantastic💪🔥a real piece of MX artwork! and 💯functional as well👌
I'd love to ride this amazing bike, looks awesome and according to Ping rides awesome. Great job TJ

Guy has some serious skills AND a taste for fine details. Absolutely stunning👌
Just can’t beat that sound. Got me stoked to take my YZ to Elsinore this weekend!
Amazing bike. You’ve set the bar for what a YZ 2stroke should be
That is one HECK of an extremely nice build of a YZ! Absolutely stunning quality throughout every single little detail. The sound and power💪🔥excellent!
The best yz build i ever seen
Sweet set up on the cericote love the colors together. Gonna have to get me one of those GYTR clutch covers. Beautiful
That bike is SAVAGE!!!!
You missed the swingarm and linkage from the later model 4 stroke YZ’s !
Beautiful piece of art work. Amazing Build
WoW!!!!!!!! great freaking job on on the shuttle color differences it flows absolutely perfect!!!!
Beautiful bike, just gorgeous! Nice work friend and you should be really proud of your accomplishment and you incredible looking bike!

Sick build! He anodized EVERYTHING! LOL!
that bike looks amazing
That's a damn nice yz. Thanks for the info about the vortex ignition with a 325 kit cause I'm about to order one.
The ESR pipe help a lot.
Beautiful build 👌well done.
Good build, T.J. 👍..cool clip Ping.
Ping is like the AutotopiaLA of MX bikes. Love the bikes he finds and showcases 🤙🏻
No mention of the swing arm swap???
Awesome to TJ Boyle..!!
Ohlins 360 kit ftw... Back in 89 ☺
This thing is sick!!!!!! 🔥

Nice job TJ!

This thing crax like a whip. Even with a heavy flywheel. Lotta compression for c12. I'd love to see it on the new mgx02 or whatever it's called.
Cool bike I’m building the same one for my son you gave me some cool ideas
You have built a work of art and if it was mine i would be scared to ride it and scratch it but that's what they are made for
Very Very Very cool bike , very great job 👌 👍
Beautiful bike
Gorgeous build.
It killed it for me after he said wisco crank also use oem for the crank
What a machine pick this over 4stroke any day . Smiling under the helmet even wen ya having a bad ride braaaap
Beautiful machine. I don’t know if this guy builds bikes professionally, but if not, he probably should. Like to see what he’d do with a later model KDX.
Amazing yz build. What swing arm do you have on the rear? yz450 or 250f?
Super sick bike build for sure 👌🏼
I wonder what it would do against the 450f in MX or GPs or Desert?
It would smoke the crappy 4 stroke.
@@cosmocopus156 no it wouldn’t it would blow up because it has a shitty crank in it
Awesome stuff T.J.! Congrats man! I would get very little sleep after finishing a bike that turned out so incredibly well. I'd be in the garage getting "would you please come to bed" texts from my girlfriend until 3 or 4am every night.

Dope bike great choices on everything
2 stroke national this weekend!
C'mon!
LMAO David......the guy on Vital is Tony. ( Great dude btw ) but he swears by the 325 kit. Second coming of Christ.
And TJ , you did such an awesome job on this build man!
My goodness that’s a nice bike. I’m looking for a 2005-2006ish yz250 so I can do something similar to it. I really like the frame color.
amazing job!
Awesome build!!!
Spectacular build! Tried sourcing 325 kits here in Australia but a lot harder than I thought.. Love the content cheers
Really? We had no issues getting an ESR kit and a spare but i guess that was before the covid pandemic

@@truthsetsyoufree77 sounds great!! Mines a 08 yz250 wouldn't think it would be hard to get parts, haha they haven't changed at all until this year
Holy crap, drop those GoPro settings. Looks amazing!
Dope build

What size carb? If its stock it needs a bigger one. Been through it before. Huge improvement with more air and fuel.
Man I’d love to see these with lights and a big tank from the factory YAMAHA ✌️🇺🇸
Work of art
Wow gorgeous!
Awesome build enjoy it
So fucking nice. Quality build mate
Sweet bike
Big bore kit and heavy flywheel weight nice work.dyno hp ? hope its 55+
The red water pump cover was my only complaint. 😆
cool bike!
Sick build! 🤩
NOW YOURE TALKIN'! 😃
Simply fantastic!!! 👍🔝
I’ve had a big bore YZ and rode a few others they have a strange feel almost like they run out of steam before they should
That’s where having the vertex ignition comes in like ping was saying. Without it the power curve climbs then just hits a wall
SO. WILL IT OUT RUN THE 450'S?
Nice Bike I'd like To Have that ,
What are these camera settings ? Is that a GoPro ? That was gorgeous
Ping, any idea of what the peak hp is? Can it run with stock 450's. I imagine it could easily run with them. Thanks, great video!
Great guy

What kind of case saver do you have on the front sprocket. I can’t read it
Ping not in TLD head to toe?
Got ma number on it👍💯
Jst got the 2024 ...got 1 hr on it😜🍻
Amazing bike, great vid. That has to be the clearest GoPro footage I’ve ever seen from a bike at 5:10
How bout jetting?
Very nice 🤟👏👏
What’s wrong with red white and blue
Where did you get the bills pipe and silencer from?

Beautiful job. Jealous.
How much wheel hp does it make?
Like someone who has actually dynod it not a guess
Beautiful bike 😅
Total sweet bike but a stock 250 2 stroke is all the power I would ever need.
I’m actually a little disappointed that we didn’t get to hear more of the bike
Can you race a 325 in any class?
Need that for the 450 class
I want it !!!!!!!
Beautiful ❤️
would this smoke a new 450?
