Great job. Only thing i would change is to use IMPACT sockets in the press since they hold up better and are more beefy and less likely to crack the chrome or break. I also always clean the mandrel shaft with a wire wheel first.
I am trying to change the bearings on my center spindle on my mower deck but the dual pulley is seized on and I cannot take it off. Do you have any ideas on how to remove a seized pulley off?
Look on Amazon for a Z9504 ball bearing to save money. Also if you are replacing the bearings take an old bearing out of the spindel and take the bearing apart by removing the balls and use the inner and outer rings to press the new bearings into the housing.
be careful be very careful putting these spindles back together pay attention the way he took them apart some of those spindles go in toward the short end some of them go in toward the long end my 30-in dick I screwed it up with spindle in the wrong way and fought it and fought it and fought it because I'm old and stupid and didn't pay attention so finally I figured it out I took the spindle out put it all back together put the spindle in the other way through the short end and everything fell right into place.... although the arm did need to be bent a little bit and the brake needed to be bent a little bit they were both out of position just a little bit ... the v pully and the other pulley went together pretty nicely

The Z9504 bearing replaces the JD 9296 and save $$. The majority of ball bearings are imported from China, India or other 3rd world countries.

You might want to edit your paragraph.
Look closely at the word DECK and how you spelled it ! :-)
Let's use a bearing bearing press kit...!
No reason to if you already have a press.
