I was dabbling into retro music production as we do and came across this really powerful feature for sound design, It takes time but is well worth the wait. Using my cool Emu Hardware sampler I was able to create totally new sounds, Mentazm, and bass creator! if only this was around from the beginning!

you can layer and mix upto 16 sounds in Rave Generator 2
The mod matrix on my E-mu gets more use than the patchbays on any of my analog gear these days. I have more fun creating sounds on my sampler than I do with any of my modular gear!
Yes B!
This is what sets innovators apart from followers!
You're a delver, what happens if I do this..whereas most ask show me how to do... 30 years on you ain't changed. Respect pal.
Nice new intro! Would love more videos like this as well man. Big ups!
Awesome stuff B, would like to see more about the limiter
Wicked stuff Bizzy thanks for sharing, yes that supermassive plug is cool and it's free :-) big up
Yes. Please do a Fabfilter special. Love your channel man. Even though hardware sampler went decades ago, just watching your work brings new ideas for DAW.
well, every convolution reverb would do the job. cool samples, nice gear choice and sweet video. big up!
I have an E4 platinum with FULL OPTIONS
It s just an ALIEN coming from another planet.
DAVE ROSSUM is a genius .
And i would say EIV non ultra have even more FAT POWERFUL HUGE sound but less editing capacities than ULTRA line especially the SICK RFX 32 card …
Peace to you and thanks for your great videos
Cool way of making new sounds. Would lose myself for hours in a feature like that.
Sounds wicked, wish I hadn't sold my e5000 in 2003, this feature passed me by.
Emu e6400 ultra is my desert island sampler 🔥
That’s ILL !!!
That feature is sick!!! shame it takes so long to process, I'm also wondering if there is a plugin that can do this, not sure a convolution would be quite the same since it's just parsing the original through the 2nd sample, but it would be close I guess, will definitely give the Trash 2 version a try (thanks Beats Pacific!) bigups!
Never use it ...E5000 ultra
I want that blender shizz pretty bad, Dawg. Fab filter demo, gotta have. Saving my pennies for a machine that'll run it all😂
it's a bit deeper than that even. the result will change depending on which sample is first or second! try swapping them around and you'll hear
looks like a similar ting to what melda mmorph or zynaptiq morph does now!
Audio Thing Motors is quite a fun plugin for messing with two signals
Bro is ur monitor on ur ceiling???
I advise you to install the cdp lua extension in renoise , it has all the sample mangling stuff you'll ever need
Defo would like to know more about how to use limiters for creativity B 👌 summin iv started doing recently but didn't know weather it was a good idea as may cause later complications 🤔
Where you getting these samples B killer stuff just laid my hands on a emu 6400 u it’s blank thou
Just beginning to dig into this thing. From what I understand it takes the similar frequencies and combines them. I'm not sure about this part but the sound changes if you reverse the order of the samples.
Emu Emulator X3 if you can somehow find it and activate the software.
It’s available.😉
like smashed!
Gotta say thank you man, after watching your videos I pulled my E4XT Ultra out the attick and started using it again, followed how you used it and I've actually been able to navigate through the machine, blown away by how deep they are!
Glad to hear it man
Try the BeatMunger. Really good for making and flipping loops out of long sounds (arpeggios, etc.). Not neccesarily just breaks.
I don't think his unit has that feature (it's not an Ultra)
@@prufrockrenegade you’re probably right but I thought it was a feature of eos 4.0.
Melda MMorph or Zynaptiq Morph
IIRC, an old audio editor called Peak could achieve a similar result using a function called Convolve. It's been a long time, so I could be wrong...
do you mean peak on the mac? I remember that one
@@TheBizzyBScience Yes, that's it! A 64-bit version was never developed and was forgotten, but at the time it was a real beast.
Fab filter pls pls
Made one once that took over 4 hours to process
Make drumbass progression in orb vst....
All of the old EMU samplers are great, just different flavours and memory size, some features etc.
I have an e6400 maxed out bought ten years ago for £25, a 4X turbo bought four years ago for £150, an Akai S5000 with full memory and USB card/max output card bought for £120 eight years ago and an S3000XL bought about twenty years ago for £80 plus a Roland VP-9000 fully maxed out with memory bought for £80 about seven years ago.
Do you know what, I wouldn’t sell a fuckin’ single one now :)
Love em all….
You had the foresight of the future 😅thinking of picking up a e64. Do you recommend this version?
This guy is a character lol!!!
MORPH
Processing heavily processed hoovers.
And why not?
