After playing with dozens of vintage samplers for 20 years I learned to accept Tal Sampler as a thing of it's own, it sounds better than some of the older beat machines to me. And I'd never be able to play around with samples in such convinient way. A really dope video, thanks again!
Great video. You are the niche content I like. Just ordered a bluescsi V2 for a E-Mu E4XT. I like seeing your stuff even when I don't own all the gear. I have been a user of Tal-Sampler since it came out, but still haven't really explored all it has to offer. Thanks and looking forward to watching your video on it too.
I would like to see what you can do with Wusik Station AD. Like TAL Sampler you start with four sample sources, but it has a ton of modification/mangling features.
Nice one. I like TAL sampler, you can get your breaks chopped up and assigned to keys very quickly. Still not gone too deep with it but its slowly taking over from Kontakt
it wont do that he just messing about these days whats a piss take he got a high end audio interface with budget boy monitors it make no sense krk are not good
if your referring to the time stretch, you have to make a variety of static time stretch samples assigned to a variety of keygroups. It’s not a real time effect. In my Akai workflow I sample a break and 200% timestretched version, chop in recycle and map the pitch wheel to+/-12 semitones (all the way up give you original BPM with stretch. All the way down 400% slowdown) The S1000 has very little you can automate (the non resonant filter at best can be mapped to the velocity settings) compared to the S3200XL which has a real time filter option (LP/HP/BP)
Some needs to build a physical A/D converter that has circuitry of not just the S1000, but also the Roland S Sampler range and Early Emax samplers to feed straight into a DAW. I'd buy that in a shot. In the meantime I'll stick to D16 Decimort 2 and the RX950 which gets me close.
Tal - Sampler is da best .... the gain strech mode is something special... used in my tune the drop . automation in logic DAW ( abelton / Bitwig ) works well . midi CC mapping by faderfox pc 4
Sounds more static/digital on the TAL in isolation. But the full track all made on the TAL does sound good. So might be hard for someone to tell the difference these days. I think its mainly a question of how you as a producer like to work. Vst and faster workflow vs hardware and slower pace but the truest sound to the oldschool.
Appreciate the video Gheez

@talsoftware, is there any chance of some free demos to try in my videos?
Great vid and the demo tunes you’ve made here are wicked. Respect Bizz
cheers man!

Thank you so much for your support! I'm glad my content is of use.
i am so happy that I've found your channel, Bizzy
Welcome aboard!
Oh my! TAL Sampler looks much different from when I used it so many years ago. I need to get with the times.
@l1fef0rm should u update . better than the last versions . just version 4.5.7.
And it's still garbage
@@ushnicyuvnikof2748garbage? Stop smoking dude
Wicked video, just had a go automating the tal sampler in bitwig and worked alright, been sleeping on this badboy!
Great Upload. All sounds good but the artifacts from the sampler are special .
YESSSIRRRR!!!!
I'm still to scattered to find out for myself😂Great work, B.👍
Is it normal that if u hook up headphones to the mix output in back of the akai s900 for sound only to come out the left headphone speaker?
never tried that, I will try next time mine is out of the rack
Thank you so much for this great video, been really waiting for it!
i use tals j8, the sampler and the drumsampler. all excellent plugins. excellent content bizzy. the og stuff :D
Thanks for sharing, I need to check out that drum sampler
Have you checked out the S56sys software to link the S5000 S6000 samplers on new operating systems due to akai sys not supporting newer OS's.
To do a more fair comparison use the TAL Sampler with the RX950 plugin. It's an emulation of the Akai DAC
I'll check it when I'm back man big upp

sorry for the late reply, I have not heard of this , is it any good?

Good to know!
Hope you turn these demos into full tracks, would be a waste to leave them.

Boom demonstration, smash the thumb up people!
dude, you are a legend! I would love to see some stuff on how you automate the effects params on the Akai S samplers over midi, is that possible?
Noted!

Hello,
Something totally different..
What kind of monitoring models are you using ?
Thanks
Did you do a comparison of the timestretches ? I can't find it !
Mm , maybe I should re visit it
Well subscribed mate...
Have you tried the amigo vst? the timestretching on that is sick
lol, just realised this is a silly question, course you have
nice tune 9:15

Just like digital models of old synths, it’s always thinner and lacks the energy. It always requires EQ / saturation / etc.
Which is all too easy and takes 5 seconds to set up.

Yes yes
you should get a mpc live 2 great work flow unlike the old akai s
😎🧨💥
Using TAL-Sampler to make Akai sampler noises in Renoise.
That’s pointless
Check the new free AMI-sampler, amiga type emulation sounds much better than AMIGO
Man using a 3rd party sampler with Renoise feels wrong
