Tip for installing the clutch fork retainer clip: Put the clip on the clutch fork first. Then install the clutch fork into the bell housing. The retainer clip will snap over the pivot ball stud as the cluck fork is pressed in. It's designed to be installed quickly in a factory.

I wonder if I can do something like this with my 2012 Rubicon, the 6speed whines like crazy because the input shaft bearing is going out but according to Chrysler techs the noise is normal. They didn't seem to really care about the groove worn into the throw out bearing that was being constantly pushed into the teeth of the pressure plate..

I know the bolt pattern is different and I don't know of a bellhousing to mount an AX15 onto the V6, but Advance Adapters might have something!

So, you got a Novak Transmission and an Advanced Adapter bell housing? I was thinking Novak offered a kit that had practically everything in it. I used a Novak adapter to swap a TH350 trans into a flat fender about 40 years ago, it was good gear.

yes. I was having trouble figuring out some of the details on the Novak bellhousing so I bought the AA one.

@@freedomin4low344 , both are excellent companies. From what I've read, the Novak shifter is better. It's bent correctly and has a better knob. It's supposedly pretty cheap too.

Would you happen to know if the NV 3550 and the NSG 370, use the same clutch, when mated to the jeep 4.0L?

    • @freedomin4low344
      @freedomin4low344  Рік тому

Yes, all the 4.0 use the same clutch regardless of which transmission. The flywheel needs to match the year of the engine though.

Question for you. I found your thread on the TJ forum but I have some questions.
Is the clutch kit designed for the NSG370 or AX15?
Is the pilot bearing a NSG370 bearing or an AX15 pilot bearing?
If I don’t have a tummy tuck and MML like yours will my flywheel sensor be really close like yours?
I have a transmission drop kit for a 2.5 OME lift, will that cause problems?
Will the sport transfer case connected to NSG370 have problems bolting up to the AX15?
Will the NSG370 hydraulic clutch push rod assembly, “forgive me forgot the actual name” work for the AX15 or do I need to purchase the AX15 hydraulic clutch for the pedal? Clutch master cylinder i believe it’s called.
Thank you so much for the advice and assistance. I’m a few more months out before purchasing and saving my pennies.
    Thank you again!

The nose of the input shaft didn't change, so all the clutch parts and pilot bearing are the same. I could have left all my clutch stuff in there but I figured I'd replace it while I had it open. You'll keep your nsg370 flywheel because it provides the correct signal for the CKPS.

    • @freedomin4low344

A body lift or a transmission drop will both help with the CKPS clearance and won't cause any issues. Transfer case will bolt right up no problem. You can put your nsg clutch slave cylinder on the AX15 and keep all your clutch hydraulics, rods, levers, etc.
