@@BastardsofBastonge44 Yeah my buddy Justin, HPO “ Horse Power Obsessed” has that exact set up. I’ve ridden shotgun while totally smoking a C7 Z06… Although I have to say a Titanium exhaust such as mine sounds WAY more F1… I’m catless with a Titanium Ryft ✌🏼
As a resident of statesville nc I feel proud! I live like 10 minutes away from kooks headers. It’s a legendary name around here. If I’m ever able to purchase a c8 zo6 which is one of my dream cars these headers would be a must have lol.
It would have been interesting to have seen the finished header next to the original to see the differences... Any changes to the diameter or length? If they are just a duplicate of the original, then what is to be gained? horsepower, torque and some 0-60 and 1/4 mi runs .. literally all the important info is absent here... as far as the sound, it sounds great but then it also sounded great stock.. a side by side sound check and some before and after dyno runs and timed pulls would say volumes..
Kooks will be releasing that info- due to contractual agreements. We did not test them- Kooks handled that…you’ll have to hear it out of their mouths when they are released…sorry we could Not provide that info! We will independently test these and other products when the time comes and tuning is available for the LT6…you can bet your ass on that.
Hey guys ironically I met Becky a couple of months at a local C&C. She asked about using my Z06 for the work up on Headers. I didn't bite, but as fate would have it I did a plant tour last week with my Corvette Club (which they are a sponsor) . Got to talk with Jake about his design for the headers and the Power Curve advances. I may be getting an early Christmas present. Any word on the numbers your now seeing. Thanks great video.
Good teaser video. Good tour of Kooks. Great to see products made in ‘Murica. A vert Z06 with these headers, hi flow cats (better yet, no cats) would be fantastic. Can’t wait to hear a full pull! 👍💪🇺🇸🦅
I had headers on my 2023 Stingray and asked the company if they were going to build headers for my 2024 Z06. They said no. Stock Z06 headers can’t be improved on hp wise. This wasn’t Kooks it was another company
We are going to independently test these along with eventuri intake and other mods…power and torque gains are there- just a matter of how much without tuning capabilities. Same thing was said about the stingray headers when they first came out…now that we can tune those cars I’m picking up 30+ rwhp with headers.
You think this sounds just like stock?? Man if that’s the case I would look into getting some new speakers or phone.. Honestly speakers really can’t convey the thunder these cars make. Trust me I know because I have a catless one with a Titanium exhaust. It is crazy to drive. Pure adrenaline rush even at 45 mph. The stock Z just doesn’t give you that feeling.
@@jimsteinway695 this one actually still has the stock exhaust on it . It needs Titanium Exhaust and high flow cats and then it will blow your mind and your neighbors windows out.
Chevrolet didn't spend millions of dollars on developing this engine and then leave power on the table with something as simple as headers. They just want to sell headers. I love kooks and they make great stuff.
Actually they did.. GM has to play the “Please the EPA game” I’ve added over 70 hp to mine and it sounds phenomenal. And it’s not always about HP, it’s about the sound and the adrenaline rush the car gives you because of the way it sounds.
@2020matrix8 not talking about cat converters. Just changing the headers and leaving the stock cats would not gain anything worth talking about. If it was boosted that would be different. I've done throttle bodies and e venturi cold air. Can barely feel any difference over stock, beware of bs dyno claims and ricer math!

@@pratttrio3836I second this. GM engineers outdid the C8Z and basically made the exhaust as close to a straight pipe minus the fact that it has catalytic converters for emissions. Probably gain the extra 5 hp w out any cats but besides that just noise

@floridahighperformance I know that dyno numbers and real life can live in harmony together. I would like to see a progressive dyno numbers for all mods like CSP does. Tho, Andrew goes a little bonkers with it due to only one car available to do the mix and match numbers research. Now we have it done- on the car- only set in the world at the moment. Don’t fret- A LOT more content coming from this.

Can someone explain why it took this long for someone to manufacture headers and why aren’t there more Twin Turbo C8 Z06’s out there.
Need tuning.

it is equal length headers ?
Tri Y Stepped and yes I believe so.
