I need the back side of that? What would u call that? The pipe was unbolted from the end of the cats at the joint you fixed. It’s a 1996 and it’s dumb loud. I want to make it sound right
Just spent 5 minutes arguing with my father about the placement of the springs. We had them on right until he said they were supposed to go in the middle between the flanges. I said that the way they came off, they were outside of the flanges. He wouldn't listen because I don't know what I'm doing so we took it apart and now the springs are in the middle of both flanges. Now I get to go and do it all over again.
I think I have a broken lifter. Also idk if it’s my exhaust or not but when I rev my truck and let back off it makes a very bad noise. Any Suggestions ?
Resurrection Auto yeah me to lol. I was going down to the gas station the other day and I down shifted to 3 and let out the clutch and it Sieged real bad and kinda jerked back. Thought that was really weird. Pulled to the pump and it shut off. It fired right back up and drove home fine. I hope it’s nothing Major in my truck. Like a rod or anything. I’m thinking my Exhaust is clogged it’s causing pressure in my engine. I’m not sure. It’s a Ford ranger 2002 2.3 standard.
I now see why he needed to exchange the black bolts for the silver bolts. Those black bolts (Walker 36129) will not compress the springs because the bolts get thicker and won't slide through the flange holes far enough to compress the springs.
Why even do this type video if you are not going to let us see you do it? How about what it looked like after you took it off? Before putting the new pieces back on? Come on...
I want to remove my muffler. Can I separate the pipes here by just removing those two bolts and sliding the entire pipe out, or will I need to cut the pipe?
I need to do a repair on that same spot on my 1993 2.3 (between manifold and cat). I think there is a gasket. When shopping for a new cat, it came with a gasket on each end

Thanks for the vid, Wes! Neat little clamp. A Clever option for when the OEM one inevitably fails! How did you find this style of gasket sealed up and held compared to original gasket? All the best from Vancouver, Canada.
Boris Martin Thanks for the post! The gasket and clamp works great. No problems to mention. I did have to use different hardware (bolts) as the supplied ones were too short.

Lucas Reed Great question Lucas. On my Ranger the exhaust pipe from this joint is welded into the muffler. It's one long piece. Not sure if that helps or not.
Would it theoretically be possible to slide that entire one pipe out, so I could reattach it if I ever needed to? Or would it be simpler to simply cut the pipe behind the cab? Thanks for the input!
Not sure exactly what you need to do but here is the lay out of the exhaust. You have exhaust manifolds that exit the heads of the engine. They are attached to a Y-Pipe that joins the two manifolds into one exhaust pipe (assuming its a V6). The Y-Pipe joins a section that contains the catalytic converter. (We are now at the bed of the truck) That section has joins a pipe that is welded to the muffler (this is the joint in the video). The pipe exits the muffler as a tail pipe. Hope that helps some.
I'm a pastor as well, and I appreciate the info. Blessings!

Great video. God bless you brother, preach on!
Dave L Thanks for the comment Dave!
Where did you get all the parts and bolts for this job?
How do I get those bolts off? I'm having a really hard time getting the bolts off.

Thank you for the video brother I am a Cristian and I will check out your other videos God bless
Glad to lend a hand!
Dealing with the same issue, thanks for the video

Great question. It's hard to say without being there. I do hope you get it repaired though.

Alright sir you have a new sub and may God bless you
How did your new black bolts become silver ?

Recruiting using you instructional. Creative.
What size is the oval flange?
God bless you for inspiring and spreading the name of Jesus Christ 🙏

Jesus will show you the way. Only after you curse his dads name a few dozen times and bleed for doing it, then you will see the light.. on google..
Where did u buy it
I think it was advance auto
what is the brand of this flange, I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Good question. I bought it from advance Auto
Walker 36132 for 2" diameter pipe
Did you get any codes from that leak ?
Gods question. No, no codes
I want to remove my muffler. Can I separate the pipes here by just removing those two bolts and sliding the entire pipe out, or will I need to cut the pipe?
Where'd you get the bolts?
All from Advanced Auto
Thanks for the information, it will help me out. God Bless
Ronald Cach You're welcome! Glad it was helpful.
This is great information. Much appreciated. I am Jewish and this still worked for me. :-D
Glad to lend a hand. Best of luck with your repair!
Thanks for the video brother. I’m assuming the 93 2.3 is the same. There is no gasket from exhaust manifold to cat right?
Good question Javier. I'm not sure but I suspect it's the same. Best of luck with your repair.

What size wrench you use to be christian? That metric or standard?
Thanks that is what I have to do..
He should've taken a flathead screwdriver and chipped off that rust piece of old flange, so the new flange isn't set back an extra 1.5"

@@resurrectionauto670 what size flange did you get? 2.25"? I'm measuring my pipe as 2" but all I'm seeing is 2 1/4 and 2 1/2 flanges.
Nice

50 in hardware. Prob could have gotten a new pipe cheaper
Why do a plug for your religion on a auto video? I wanted to see the exhaust fix.
