Barn Star Sampler - Completing the Small Block Border

Our quilt top for this Barn Star Sampler is really taking shape as we complete the small block (16") border. Changing the sashing size to 4 inches makes the blocks fit perfectly around our customized inner border.
In this video, I demonstrate how to add on the last side of the border making sure that we're centered and adjusting to ensure that both ends match up.
The only thing left is to add a small 1-3" plain border around the whole perimeter so we have a solid edge to add the binding to. It can be troublesome to bind a quilt with many seams. By adding that final border, we ensure that all the seams in the 16" blocks are secured prior to binding.
I'll be back next week with the final border added and (hopefully) a look at this quilt to finalized. I am currently considering binding, backing and quilting options for this project.
