Outstanding! I look forward to trying my hand at musky fish this year!
Great video VDGIF! Always a great idea to highlight how exciting and rewarding it is to catch the fish of 10,000 casts. BUT, even as important, how to properly release a fish after it has been caught so another angler has that opportunity. Thanks!
Great content DWR!👍

Caught my first musky saturday. Actually caught 2 in a row. Big inline spinner. Took me 30 years but I finally did it. The new river in sparta/VA line.

I fish glide baits most of the time and 5:23 is why, the strikes are so intense.
I caught one today, on the Tug river between KY and WV, my first Musky ever, 27".
Greg Small hey greg..I just found out recently that the headwaters of the tug have been stocked too...it'll take a few years..but they'll thrive..
I was in Wayne County WVa. I was Superintendent on a Walmart remodel. I was staying in this Fine Establishment with Daily, weekly and I swear....hourly rates. The River/Creek was behind the motel and was the State Line. I was just looking at the water on a cool afternoon and I was wondering what the fucking river monster was I was looking at. I realized I had just seen my first Muskie. I am from Winston-Salem NC. No muskie here
Big inline single hooks for the win
A detailed video on locations in Virginia would be neat. Any locations in the comments?
Wish we had them and pike in Lake Anna
Great, where was that taken?
Hooking and handling an average-sized trout gets my adrenaline going. I'd probably explode getting one of these to the net! I can't wait to fish the Commonwealth- Virginia is badass.
True that Virginia is cool...but that video was shot in MARYLAND! All of the Potomac River is MARYLAND! MARYLAND is F..ing BADASS!!
Can you keep muskie? There is no information online about this.
So what's a good musky reel under 300

Pike.
Worst thing EVER for the river systems!!!!! Introduced invasive species!!!!!

I think pollution is a far worse problem here in industrialized Virginia. Look at the amount of PCBs IN EVERY WATERWAY.
