Love love love this video! just wish you would’ve dropped sources for your recommendations/ alternatives to surgery like you did for the rest of the video 🤍
@@samanthahopkins1874 thank you! And you’re right, such an oversight. Try FOREO for microcurrent and LED devices. For collagen, I love the vital proteins, Thorne plus, and Micro Ingredients collagen. I’ve also made a body care video on this channel, that goes into much deeper details about the alternatives I mentioned. 😊

Honestly I spend time with people who talk about ideas and superficial things just really hold less importance in that world. I’m not saying looks are irrelevant but not to the extent that would make you spend time recovering from a major surgery.
good friends of mine are looking to get their boobs done, at ages 22 and 23 respectively. while I deeply understand and empathize with being insecure (I have struggled very badly w most of my face/body for most of my life), it also just makes me sad to see women my age go to cosmetic surgeons in order to alter themselves, thinking this will make them happier somehow, and it makes me especially sad as their good friend, who honestly has no clue as to *why* they are so keen on changing what's already beautiful in my eyes. I acknowledge a certain bitterness I do posses when it comes to people who are conventionally pretty trying to make themselves *even* prettier (considering myself not so), and there's times I ask myself if I should just be "happy for them", but then again, how can the answer to insecurity possibly be to *alter* yourself, enriching others, time and time again.
@@blunzn999 it is rough to see your friends do something you think is unhealthy. I guess, all you can do is support them and maybe guide them away from anything that seems to extreme. They are not standards unless WE hold them as such. Ignore them and they will go away.
@@BloodSweatandFears unfortunately, I think we’re past the point of ignoring. No one lives in a vacuum.

@@nexx410 for sure. Some people think invasive surgery = instant gratification and they forget the money and time they’ll spend pre and post recovery.
Best one yet. such an important convo!!!
thank you! 🫶🏾 Especially with the rise of social media, I think it’s crucial to analyze societal norms and pressure
