That was wild. I like the "double or nothing" idea of flipping a coin for cEDH plainchase, but I'd probably just substitute a D4 instead because can manipulate a coin toss.
General tip to all for Planechase: Make it mandatory to take the free roll. It both, keeps players engaged with the Planar deck, and eventually a Plane will come up that someone doesn't want to leave and the free roll helps negate that advantage.
That was really cool. The 1 life flip lmao. I had a similar experience with Planechase getting stuck on Glimmervoid Basin the entire game, and it was absolutely absurd.
I love the idea of planechase in cEDH and hope to see more. Was disappointed it didn’t get to planeswalk, but maybe next time! Double instants and sorceries is nuts!
As someone who has played planeschase Cedh, it is the most thrilling and chaotic way to play magic (just never play a 6 player 2-headed giant planeschase Cedh game because that will make you want to rip out your teeth)
Helluva game! The planar deck does seem (in any planeschase game I've played) to get stuck on some plane, though not usually the first lol. Thanks for playing!
This is very true! Once or twice I've had the T1-2 nuts, but many times I've piloted it recently I end up getting thwarted and just top decking, so it definitely goes both ways :P
I love that Chainer and Gary was the way this game won, I have a cEDH Chainer deck and I have been waiting for someone to win this way on one of my favorite content creators gameplay🙏🏽
I agree with Dylan when it comes to altering the likelihood of certain things happening when you roll the planae die while playing Planechase, but I don't think it should be 50/50. I would think thay there should be a 1 in 6 chance for Chaos like there is now, but maybe bump the odds of changing planes to 2 in 6. That way there's a 50% chance that something will happen when you decide to roll.
Not knowing Dylan’s hand I feel like manglehorn should have blown up the jet medallion one of the biggest thing krrik struggles with is the generic cost of spells giving most of the stuff for basically life was broken
Honestly I was very surprised my Jet Medallion survived two Manglehorns. I was almost not going to say anything while they deliberated for fear of them looking at my boardstate! I suppose I won't get away with it twice :P
while playing planechase we used 2 d6 for the dice cause we had 3 games where we didn't planeswalk if the total value is even = planeswalk if the total value is odd = chaos ensues if it's the same result = nothing happens and we had more fun cause there's more odds of us planeswalking and ensuing chaos instead of just nothing
Ah yes, competitive EDH planechase. Turn one, roll the planar die! Oh nothing. Proceed to turn! Play island, Lotus Petal, Mox Opal, Mana Crypt, Tap Mox Opal for a black, cast Demonic Consultation (because 3 artifacts in play enables Metalcraft), exile until Frodo is revealed, oh darn no frodo. Tap sac Lotus Petal for a blue, tap island for a blue, cast Thassa's Oracle. GG guys! That was a fun game of Competitive EDH planechase!
This was definitely something I was afraid of, but I will say that each game we played, the planes were almost always very relevant. No spoilers though! :P
Pretty sure Tyler not only shot the Esper Sentinel with the Manglehorn copy when he could have hit the Remora, but also missed an Esper Sentinel trigger of his own on Dylan's turn just before to draw a card. Hitting the wrong thing hurts as a misplay- but forgetting that your Metamorph is a card draw engine hurts more imho :P Edit: You guys might also consider just forcing the Plane to change every new turn rotation- that way the game gets spiced up and doesn't rely on the random die roll. Just be sure to shuffle the Plane deck well, lol.
Sad part is, I've seen (and participated in) casual games where the same thing happened. Same plane (or maybe one change) for 2/3 hours of game :( But this game was still fire!
I'm kind of confused as to why Dylan's permanents were getting targeted for removal when SoCal had already just tutored Great game as always ! It was very entertaining to the end, but the thought kind of just passed my mind
@PlaytoWinMTG bought the glow in the dark deck box from your store and it does not fit my double sleeved cedh deck :( Love the channel and you guys are awesome but I'm so disappointed. Is there a way to contact you guys to discuss? I don't have any other social media besides YT
how does culling the weak produce 8 mana when he sacrificed just one creature. Shouldn't he have to sacrifice another creature for the other copy spell?
Wont lie, actually laughed out loud in the first second of this video 😂 I know everyone says it, and im just chiming in, but you guys have something uniquely special going on here with your channel 🍻
I’ve been doing some thinking. With the ubiquity of talismans/arcane signet, I’m always a little surprised that green based decks aren’t running nature’s lore or three visits. They have the benefit of not feeding dockside and being harder to nuke. Granted, the resulting lands are also harder to abuse (probably). It’s just food for thought but I think it’s worth talking about.
SoCalAcura here! Feel free to ask what you'd like, and I'll do my best to respond to as many people as possible!
THANKS FOR PLAYING SO CAL!! still thinking bout this game and the others we played...
@@True_Roninit was cast on that turn
Nice game, boss. And I'm glad you picked Planechase cEDH, it was fun to watch
Were you using the other spells as bait to try to resolve Peer or did it just end up working out that way?
Hi 😊 when the copied culling the weak resolves, which creature it sacrificed? Tq.
So Cal Acura, my guy!! Nothing but GAS, GAS, GAS!!!!! Every turn is just a threat to win. The only one that didn’t present a win was turn 1!!
🤣🤣🤣
I'm honestly surprised I was able to push through as much interaction as I did ngl! Glad you enjoyed!
That was wild. I like the "double or nothing" idea of flipping a coin for cEDH plainchase, but I'd probably just substitute a D4 instead because can manipulate a coin toss.
Either that or implement a turn rule, and make sure the plane chase cards are shuffled

Can’t wait to see someone make a discord server based around Planechase CEdh
👀
This would honestly be fun af lol. But I think there would have to be a consensus as to which planes we can actually utilize. 😂
Count me in. Lmao
There's nothing I love seeing more in cEDH than a K'rrik popping off. My favourite deck by a mile, well played SoCal!
Thank you so much! Turbo storm is one of my favorite archetypes to pilot, and I'm just happy to give our (favorite) Phyrexian the rep he deserves c:
I love the idea of planechase in cEDH and hope to see more. Was disappointed it didn’t get to planeswalk, but maybe next time!
Double instants and sorceries is nuts!
The musical cue for Manglehorn was a nice touch. Some cards feel like they need a walkout song and that's one of them.
I have long wanted to see Planechase in cEDH, thanks for the vid!!
As someone who has played planeschase Cedh, it is the most thrilling and chaotic way to play magic (just never play a 6 player 2-headed giant planeschase Cedh game because that will make you want to rip out your teeth)
16:08 Bowmaster Trigger
Cams cartoon series should be called TANX! With an X, so it can be XTREME!
Ahh a K’rrik deck winning before the end of the year is the gift that keeps on giving 🎁
Helluva game! The planar deck does seem (in any planeschase game I've played) to get stuck on some plane, though not usually the first lol. Thanks for playing!
Finaly they discovered the masterclass of cEDH xD
As a krrik player it makes me so happy seeing one played
Laughed at the "is this turn 3?" ,like K'rrik can't win turn one without the double instants/sorceries bullshit 😂
This is very true! Once or twice I've had the T1-2 nuts, but many times I've piloted it recently I end up getting thwarted and just top decking, so it definitely goes both ways :P

Wow that was a crazy last turn.
We mix up Planeschanes in EDH. For cEDH, I would say it would be cool to use double dice, or fast planes, where it's a new planes each turn.
First time I've seen Planes Chase in cEDH, its amazing!
Not knowing Dylan’s hand I feel like manglehorn should have blown up the jet medallion one of the biggest thing krrik struggles with is the generic cost of spells giving most of the stuff for basically life was broken

Tyler not being in the bottom left is throwing me for a loop lol

That was an awesome game! Love to see more! Merry Christmas and happy New Year Play to Win!
is the planechase deck sleeved? if so, what sleeves are being used? i feel like i can never find sleeves for mine
Why was everyone bullying Dylan when K'rrik was on a plane that puts its deck on crack?
Happy holidays to everyone at Play to win! Thank you for all the content, looking forward to next year.
The tune in the background is a banger btw...
I think the die can still work in Cedh would be if there was an extra planes walk and choas symbol on the die leaving two blank spaces.
Every time my play group has played planechase I swear every player ends up triggering the planeswalk on their turn

What even was that big play from mono black , that was insane very solid my guy that was awesome
never done planechase cedh but i saw Krosa once in a casual game and want to be able to abuse it in sisay, +2/+2 and chaos gets me wubrg

6:40 my friends and i like to play planechase with a d4, super fun
What a fun Christmas jumper Cam was wearing!
Gary the best, 100/10 game.
Love you guys! Merry Christmas!!
The decklists dont include the planechase decks, can you share what the other 39 options were?
Have a Merry Christmas fellas! ❤❤❤

But this game was still fire!
@playtowin 15:42 whats the song used at this point cause haven't heard it in ages
where do you guys get the image for the dual lands, would love to get some with those arts
I'm kind of confused as to why Dylan's permanents were getting targeted for removal when SoCal had already just tutored
Great game as always ! It was very entertaining to the end, but the thought kind of just passed my mind
no instant or sorcery based ramp in hand with etali? rough...
This was great to watch how krik plays, thanks for sharing!!!
Summary of this episode - Dylan gets senselessly bullied
YO GUYS I WON THE GAME
Damn son, that was nuts!
tfw rolling the planar die as an infinite mana outlet
This kind of video is love.
Chill to win video
Thank you play to win team.
yeah i was really surprised tyler killed the esper sentinel. jet medallion was the play
Very happy to have more K'rrik content on here

Sure thing! Feel free to email us at playtowinmtg@gmail.com and we can figure something out
@@PlaytoWinMTGThank you so much for resolving the issue gents!
“How good is an emblem that lets players copy each instant and sorcery spell?”
Merry Christmas! Guys
Bluh made a tanks specific transformers and I’m all here for it
hey, what song are you guys playing at about 7 minute-ish?
Seeing Dylan riffle shuffle his deck makes me wanna cry 😭😭😭
Hey, izzet steam maze is pretty good it turns out, weird that i rarely see any decks run it
Alright. Next I want the Owl-Sabees on!
Why the second culling the weak added 4 black mana if there were no creatures left to sacrifice as an additional cost?
Because it wasn’t cast, it was copied, and the sacrifice is part of the cost
Damn that win was insane. Congrats
It's so weird to see Tyler playing Kinnan...
Merry Christmas PTW team
Looking back is 2020
how does culling the weak produce 8 mana when he sacrificed just one creature. Shouldn't he have to sacrifice another creature for the other copy spell?
Seeing K'rrik makes me very happy. I'm one of the only players in my area and nobody ever respects it til it is in the top 4 table.
Please tell me all the tank people wear tank tops. Super fun video
No Yisan for Xmas?
Sadness is on the stack.
Sadness resolves. 😢
Planechase cEDH sounds like an oxymoron to me.
Does will from clb care about plane die rolls?
Wont lie, actually laughed out loud in the first second of this video 😂

Talismans and signets can convert sol ring/crypt mana into colored mana - three visits cannot. This is mostly the reason.
I wonder how this game wouldve gone if you had either left the plane or werent doing planechase
"Planechase" but it's just 1 plane
It's Tankin' time!
HAHAHAHAHAH😂😂😂😂😂😂 I LOVE KRRIK DECKS 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
def needs to be a coinflip. theres no turn real-estate to actually planeswalk lol
Man, the dice *really* wanted this to be a ridiculous game.
Krrik is life!
Treasure cruise would be better for cedh.
GRUUL SMASH
Aquatic people are called Fish Tanks...
Why does Tyler only play kinnan? It's so boring that he uses the same deck every video
Today I discovered that mountains can cast birds of paradise
He cracked Bloodstained for a Taiga - mountain/forest
Although, I can see how the alternate art is an unfavorable representation of the actual land
@@marcellusjordan5681 100% looks like a mountain to me! haha thank you :)
That's why I hate planechases
