I had a 1959 Ford at university when I was not allowed one. It sat in a rented northern climate detached garage months at a time. It started right up every time just like this '59. Time was 1962.
Leo Notarianni he wasn’t allowed to drive it to university. Some American university’s prohibited students from driving there own vehicles to collage mainly to control traffic congestion. Some Modern colleges still have that standard to this day
I had a '57, badly rusted but dependable, at the U in Minneapolis in 1967. Would start reliably while sitting outdoors at -20 deg F. It was borrowed regularly by friends who had to be somewhere, and their cars wouln't start. I think the '59 was my favorite, though.
I had a very rare '58 Fairlaine (not 500) coupe with the 332 and Cruise-O-Matic--didn't realize how rare it was until years afterwards--traded it off in '68 for a '63 SS 327 convertible. Haven't seen another in that body style on the road or at a car show since. With the 2.69 axle it was loafing at 70! '59 Fords are my favorite of the late 50's, so much nicer than the 60's!
Me gusta ese carro porque es una reliquia con ese Kit Continental un Ford Galaxie 500 1959 de cuatro puertas muchas felicitaciones por esa belleza de automóvil
We find them all over! This one came from a small town in a barn! It was in that barn for 30 plus years . We are keeping all the cars we have in our collection now .
That has to be the nicest '59 I've ever seen.

What a beautiful classic!
Absolutely stunning .. only thing I’d change would be the removal of the continental kit on the rear..
Still a stunner!

My dad had a vanilla '59 292 which was the joy of his life. Mustang 289's came out six years later for $2000. Dad was too frugal to buy one though.
Beautiful car.i had 2 different ones when I was young. Loved them both
