Put it in locked position manually. Hold the lock button and put the batteries in at the same time maybe that will help

The problem in this video was my batteries would die like once a month and could t figure out why for like two years so I finally made the smart decision and got a Yale! Still haven’t changed there batteries or had issues with it since replacing!

Blinking lights and lock is unresponsive when I press lock to leave. New batteries and same response. Had less than a year.

I have the same lock, changed the batteries about a month ago. All of a sudden the buttons are unresponsive, no red lights, just dead. About a minute later the lock will start beeping and l can enter the code. Going to call Kwikset technical help line. Very frustrating and set is only 2 yrs old. Does get western exposure.

It’s corrosion build up. Remove the battery cover, pull the batteries, remove the mounting plate from the inside of the door and disconnect the electrical connector. Clean the inside of both connectors with a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol. Put it back together and voila…. I bet it fixes your problem! I also have one that faces west and it’s the only one out of 3 that gives me grief. It’s also the only one that has a bit of battery corrosion built up on the negative terminals of the “AA” batteries and in the battery holder thingy.

too much sun the thing is dead
Not sure the sun had anything to do with it. I upgraded to the Yale and don’t regret it! Watch my other videos to see the changes
@@meet.brandon also this Kwikset is like a copy of weiser products , not saying weiser are better I had the same issue with the weiser also but all I can think of is this is happening when its 35 degres or more out in full sun
