Who else is going back and checking out all their metal videos?
I'm doing it all the time XD
But for some reason i can't really find the stuff i personally like. They have to do waaay more Slipknot and Ghost!
they do it so very well!
More Maiden and Priest.
@@cyclpiancitydweller9517 agreed as well
Oh yes
"What happened to all the rock superstars?"
Rehab.
Facts
Looool
lol
All the guys that were the superstars pre 2000 came back to be the superstars once again
Luke Is God guns n roses are back, Liam Gallaghers back, Metallica still touring it’s like the 90s never left. The Beatles ran the 60s then stopped completely, zeppelin ran the 70s then stopped completely, 80s was where the rockstars sort of stayed around and then pretty much every 90s rockstar is still around
Im a 54 yr old white man what you guys are doing has literally brought me back to humanity no politics no racism just joy Thank You found you looking up motorhead vids not the greatest review but honest so cool on that. Dont do social media but will follow on you tube and 👍on all your reviews Im with you if my head bops my fingers snap or goosebumps pop up it doesnt matter what genre it is. THANK YOU
@Craig Wooldridge should he?
@Craig Wooldridge that's what it feels like. Which is why the moment any kind of political bs starts being spewed i turn it off.
James Spivey yup
You people overthink shit. Shut up and enjoy music for fucks sake
@Craig Wooldridge Well spoken sir.
they played in moscow, crowd size 1.6 million people at the concert
Tom Van Loenen it was over a mil at one point
500.000 tickets and then another million of people who had free tickets

So, I've spent 2 hours binge watching your videos tonight. I was supposed to clean my house after work tonight, so you know... I blame you both :0)
Julie Harden me too. My wife is going to kill me when she gets back. 😕
Same!
I have that same distraction disease
Glad I'm not the only one
LOL
Y'all said it best. Talent is talent. Whether its Rakim or Metallica makes no difference. Talent is talent.
gary2kr1 love everything from raekwon the chef to steelheart. have you heard public enemy and aerosmith or public enemy with anthrax? super super super awesome man
@@MetalizedButt that Anthrax & Public Enemy collab was sick. "I'M The Man"
The intro build-up in this song is insane. If you're not rocking along then you just aren't alive.
It’s “Exit Light, Enter NIGHT” not enter light. So yes it it’s about nightmares
Naah. It's a monster song. The monster is the sandman. Gives you nightmares. Takes your life?
@@Arigator2 It's about the monsters from your nightmares.....It doesn't seem like you know it but you're agreeing with OP. lol
Originally the song was about cot death.
artbylukebennett jesus.
I think it's a deeper analogy, or at least I hope it's not as simple as nightmares or monsters. The complexity of the music itself alludes to a deeper meaning or deeper thought.
You guys are basically metalheads by now. I'm loving it man.

Just found you guys from a reddit thread - so damn happy I did! And your community (in the comments section) is one of the best I’ve ever come across!
Metallica-For Whom the Bell Tolls
agreed, how can these guys do Metallica reaction vids, and NOT do For Whom The Bell Tolls. (unless ofc they've both heard it before!!, which is entirely plausible). It is THE song, when on tour in 1984, made other bands stand up and take notice, saying they've never heard anything as heavy before. It's when Metallica properly stood head and shoulders above the rest of the Metal community, and they've never looked back.
Soviet Gaming/Strigon1 creeping death, fade to black, sanitarium. So many good ones😀
They just did it you have to pay for it on patreon
Metallica "For Whom The Bell Tolls"
Brian Baker great song
I thought the same thing. I can't believe they haven't done it yet.
"Take a look to the sky, just before you. It's the last time you will.
Brian Baker undertated
YES!
Bruh y'all reacting to Metallica now too? You guys are moving your way up as my favorite channel
Thomas Graham ii
yeah they dope
KRINO - HEADPUNCHES!!!!!!
Yeah we ain't bullshittin' about loving music in general! We're not as fully versed on Rock as Hip Hop but we both listened to a considerable amount of Rock growing up! We're happy that people are responding well to this change! Thanks Thomas!
Lost In Vegas react to KAAN LTN!!!!
I can tell in this video that they were in a moment where this song hit just perfectly and opened the door for more metal. A really great moment for music lovers. It was a privilege to witness this.
Free thinker here. My playlist has Pantera, Primus, Chuck Berry, Erykah Badu, Trace Adkins, Body Count, Tupac, Judas Priest, Earthgang, The Doors, Muddy Waters, Hank Williams Jr, Slick Rick, Rush, Upchurch etc. Imma listen to whatevu the hell feels good to my soul.
That's right!
Same here. I just love music period. I struggle to understand people who only listen to a single genre.
Your music taste is real!
I hear you. My playlist is so eclectic anyone seeing it would think I suffer from a multiple personality disorder. LOL
Same here. I call it "rojak" playlist.
People can say what they want, but Metallica would not be what it is without Lars.
Lucius I totally agree! I got to sit with Lars and James for a while once. I don't care for Lars but I'll never deny his abilities as a drummer. The people who bash his drumming just don't like him as a person. It probably all reverts back to his Napster episode.
Chuck Turner Probably.
You are completely right they wouldn't be Metallica they would be something better 😂😂
Metallica would not be what they are without Cliff Burton. They rode his creative wave for as long as they could after he died. When he died, so did their creative side.
Metallica wouldn’t be without Dave Mustain of Megadeth!
You're absolutely right, rock stars have disappeared. I think it used to be, a band busted their asses playing all sorts of venues and traveled around to get known and I believe that was essential for a band to do, all the great bands did that until you didnt have to pay to go see or hear their music anymore and free downloads came around. The rest is history.
Lou Cypher true story, im in a metal band making our own music, grinding to get even 50 people to come see us. Shits not easy
Sad but true...pun intended!!! I'm blessed to have seen hundreds of concerts and there really isn't any big names anymore. 🐧🐧
Check out Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs. Mike Campbell was Tom Petty’s guitarist, and he’s now got his old band. They’ve currently got two albums out, and they’re both GOLD.
5 years late but Rick beato stated it best. He was a big music producer for decades. Turns out all the bands disappeared because it was cheaper to pay just 1 person rather than 4. Typically now producers construct and make the entire song, while the singer just sits there… “singing”. It all has to do with corporate greed.
I talked with a guy who was a studio musician, and we were talking about what was on our iPods. Metallica, Zep, Rush, Frank Sinatra, Dave Weckl...he said “quality is quality”.
Rush THANK YOU they do t get the recognition they deserve. I'd add Gary Moore to that list for sure.
@@jediknight1294 I agree to that one.
I love the headbanging in unison. 😁👍 It looks like Wayne and Garth with Queen.
React to One by Metallica.
Ukitake-taichou hell yeah, they should do a reaction to the video with the movie clips.
Yup! Johnny Got His Gun!
Along with the video that has the beginning to that movie, Johnnys got his gun
Absolutely, One is amazing!
Ukitake-taichou Gotta go with their signature song. " Master of Puppets "
The only reaction channel worth attention.
"talent is talent" respect
As many times as I’ve heard this song I always still get jacked when it comes on!
Never pause Metallica. Never. Not even to say "Dude, your hair is on fire."
Lol.
Meaning "Dude, your hair looks great" or "Dude, your hair is literally in flames right now"?
I see what you did there.
Really? You're going to be that elitist about Metallica?
....a Metallica reaction? LETS GOOOOO!........Do "One" please!
IAM EVERYDAYGAMER yesssss bro and this Is coming from the blackest dude at my university!
Their best song! Plz do!
dO ONE? mEANS GO AWAY WHERE I COME FROM LOL
well done captain obvious
yes... one
You guys are the gold standard for music reaction/reviews.
I just love seeing you guys fall in love with a song that I have been rocking to since I was 13 (28 years ago). To see you hear something for the first time and the pure enjoyment that you get from it...that's why I watch.
Master of puppets!!
Yesss!!!!
James Hetfield wrote this song about Crib death. So about children that would just mysteriously die at night. The producer Bob Rock asked James to rewrite the lyrics as the first version was a little over the top. Hence the lullaby-like lyrics. "Hush little baby, don't say a word. And never mind that noise you heard. It's just the beast under your bed. In your closet, in your head."
P.S. I'm a huge Metallica fan. Just saw them live in Atlanta this month. Man they killed that shit. I lived in Vegas for 17 years until I recently moved.
Great info bro. Thanks for sharing this.
Makes you wonder what was written before that then??
Yuji Moore
Love watching y'alls reactions! So glad I found you guys! Keep going guys!
its so fun to watch them cause its like re-living my reaction
You guys should react to "Orion" by Metallica. No vocals just instrumental. If Mozart was metal he would've written that shit no doubt lol
FUCK YEAH! Just thought about that moments ago
oh my God yes!!!!!!!!
gino31mont best instrumental ever recorded Orion by Metallica
you spelled Call of Kutulu wrong
gino31mont yes yes yes. Masterpiece that's gonna stand the test of time
As an 80's child I know metal/rock/hip hop had no boundaries. Great music transcends
Just found you and I’m bingeing your channel so hard. The stank faces are giving me life.
I love how honest y'alls reactions are to everything!!!
The song is specifically about the singer's nightmares he had, as a kid. As the bands biggest admirer, I've known this for a while. This was my first Metallica-song I ever heard.
Thanks for the info on this!
Any time!
I figured lol but thanks for the Reassurance dude 👍🏻🤘🏻
@ Lost in Vegas try to do some Black Sabbath and Steppenwolf as these guys were some of the earliest metal and rock pioneers.
you guys should react to some System of a Down
MrNitty916 fuck yea ,my favorite band
Definitely!
agreed
Mooky Blaylock Live ( on this day's ). Studio version's are awesome and live they were 10-15 year's ago awesome, too.
is mooky blaylock a reference to pearl jam? imo pearl jam is one of the great bands of the 90s whose music has progressively gotten worse over time. The only halfway decent 90s bands still going is like filter, tool, maybe rammstein, idk theres probably a few more im forgetting, but god some times you just gotta call it quits.
I never thought anything could make listening to Metallica any better UNTIL I found 2 guys should could appreciate their talent as much as me! I've said this many times on different videos...but I LOVE you guys!! Thank you!
Randomly found these guys and their channel. Amazing content!!! I’m like 60 vids deep and still diving deeper. Keep it up!
The entire black album is fantastic, I'm sure you've heard most off of it but a reaction to "sad but true" or "wherever I may roam" would be awesome.
I remember when I first heard this in the car in 1991,I had to pull over and rock out 🤘🤘
About 15 years ago, this song was played as the University of Utah football team came out of the tunnel and onto the field. It really pumped up the crowd and hyped the team. That intro is some of the most intense, pounding, driving forces ever.
Y’all guys are awesome keep rocking out brothers, props to you y’all are doing an amazing job love the channel
react to domination by pantera that solo is legendary
Oh yeah!!!
They have done that, the live version that is. Go check it out!
I prefer the slow extremely hard beat just after the solo with the breathing behind - so fucking cool haha
Arctic turd Pantera is legendary!
Shit the breakdown is legendary
pink floyd - time and also comfortably numb which is just amazing. not metal, more classic rock but 2nd solo is a materpiece.
Jonathan McGuire time is great
Rico Villa yes sir, time is a gr8 song. first time i heard it, just randomly on the radio. it was an instant download. that solo, although comparitively, simple to alot of stuff, its just amazing. and the intro always gets me hyoed for the song. really love the 2nd solo in comfortably numb too. its really amazing in my opinion.
John Campbell i agree
Echoes ;-)
the second solo is the best in history
You guys are the BEST! Just found your channel searching for Kill-shot and didn’t know you did all types of music! Love the Rock and Country to go along with Rap.
going back and after listening to other reactions and noticing your knowledge of rock/metal has increased so much over time, its really a testament to your pursuit of knowledge of music!
James Hatfield the front man for Metallica was raised in a hardcore Christian family. he wrote what he knew and he put a lot of religious themes in the music. The opening line "Say your prayers little one and don't forget my son" is obviously talking about god and jesus. Even in the break James quotes the bedtime prayer.
The whole song is about trying to be a good person when you have to face down all the evils in this world and resisting temptation.
The lord has blessed him with musical talent.
Originally this song was about crib death. Bob Rock and Lars both felt that musically the song was epic but the lyrics were just too dark. They convinced Hetfield to lighten up the lyrics so he changed it to be more about nightmares.
HETfield. James HETfield ;)
Fuck my opinion. Im here to watch yours.
2 hour binge! Quality channel!!!
Just found you guys and I love ur reactions! Y'all are so cute and enretraining! Love seeing you both discover rock for the first time! Its awesome as I know it well!
I’m sooo blessed that the only concert I’ve been too in my 38 years of life was Metallica. It was my favorite night ever! I was the 9th caller and won the tickets. LOVED IT
Broo!! the second i saw this i immediately got hyped Asf! yall needa plz do more rock Metalica and such plzz!! this is dope ass video, props to yall man! and im also super glad that yall chose one of my top 5 favorite metallica songs to react to as well
Thanks Ethan!
yea np man. u think u guys can react to metallica - Master of Puppets?
This is by FAR my favorite reaction channel!
(Living proof that everyone is a headbanger!)
So, I have been watching y'all doing these videos for about three hours now. Supposed to be sleeping so I can get up early, but y'all fascinate me with your reactions. And I will be blaming you in a few hours when my alarm goes off. Love your reactions to some of my favorite tunes. Peace.
It does my heart good to see fellow free thinkers mixing it up! I'm 42, and have, for as long as I can remember, refused to confine myself to any musical genre. It's about what hits your ear, gets you in the gut, and feeds the soul, so to speak. Respect!!
When the sandman came out, my soul instantly metalled up. Metallica became my fav group now for 28 + years
Found you guys last night first time. Binged for 3 hours, trying not to laugh aloud and awake my husband. Forced myself to turn off UA-cam at 2:30am. Now I’m back again. Love your joy of music and respect for talent across genre. Look forward to seeing you hit 1M subscribers...it’s close. Keep rockin. 👍
Listening to these old songs has me making sure I fill in the holes in my music collection. Such great music!!!! Aren't we fortunate to live in a time when we can have recorded music available at will!
Ok I only found out about your reactions like 6 hours ago lol and I have see about 10 or so of these! You are freaking great!!
Nathan Clarke i binged like 15 videos in one day. I love their videos!
In college I directed a play by Sartre, called ‘No Exit’. This was my opening tune. The curtain call was ‘Sympathy for the Devil’, unfortunately or not, most of the audience missed it. Great thanks to Greg Johnston’s fabulous performance. It’s about three people who hate each other trapped in the same room in Hell, forever. Still miss Jen...
You two are awesome. Making me rethink the music I don't normally listen to.
Been watching a lot of yalls videos. I love seeing you guys break outside of just rap songs. This and Tool, phew. I'm having a great night!
Please, please keep doing metal. Subscribed!
Bathory Synystra fuck yeah! I'm a total metal junkie and would love to see more of this
My second favorite song by this band after "For Whom The Bell Tolls" "Enter Sandman" might be one of the best straight rocking songs ever made. It just kicks into gear and stays there throughout the entire song. I know a number of people who don't care for Metallica generally but think this song kills. Love to see a reaction to some Japanese bands like X-Japan's "Rusty Nail" or 1.G.K's" Most Beautiful Hands". There have been some really great bands out of Japan over that 20 years or so that have gone completely unnoticed in the west. Anyway great vid guys.
Your facial expressions and mild head banging are priceless! Thanks for adding joy, fun and some 15min. escapes into these crazy times!!
You guys are the best! Makes me appreciate these songs as if it's the first time I heard it.
Rob Zombie, White Zombie-- good stuff. Lol
This is the song that put Metallica in the mainstream. Lot of arguments back in the day when this came out.
MegaCrasherMusic cool man. Yeah, i will always be down for Metallica. No matter what, their amazing!
justice was NOT a sell out...most complicated CD they made....Black was the sellout...blechhhh
Von Heller hahahaha i think Justice is one of the best too, but thats the one album that not even Metallica themselves like
Sevens Secret i think Nothing Else Matters was the one that put Metallica in the mega map. Thats the song that made even 12 year old girls like Metallica
Well tbh metallica released an album little people know of; No life till leather and they released another one called jump in the fire, these werent popular but then they released kill em all with dave mustain and hit the lights/ seek and destroy were the ones to bring popularity. then ride the lightning which did become absolutely huge for thrash metal history but one of the most un-beaten and memorable albums was master of puppets...hands down (reason for the memorable part is cliff died after a live version for the release of MOP in sweden).. but my favourite is MOP and ...And justice for all...the reason why eveyrone liked metallica album (better known as black album) is becuz of Jason Newsted (bassist) becuz he wanted everything to be heavy and remain heavy...lars didnt like it but gave it a shot and is a very popular album...but then they went downhill from there (load & reload) and again jason hated this and lars+ james kicked him out of the band...and theyve gotten shitter ever since..but nonetheless im still a die hard metallica fan by far....
(sorry if i went into too much details. :)
I can't believe I've been binge watching you guys for the past 5 hours. Half the day is gone and I still have to fill out the paperwork to re-enroll in my Master's Degree program.
So I watch your videos all time. Love your enthusiasm n your real appreciation for music. I definitely think it’s about a child having nightmares; like we all did as kid. Under bed or in your head. Then hush little baby don’t you cry.. now I lay me down to sleep. Great song n loved your reactions
What happened to the rock superstars? Great question.
They're still around. Rock and metal is huge in Europe. In the UK metal bands play to huge crowds.
Just because something isn't on tv or the radio it doesn't mean it's dead.
I think it’s why the “your music sucks” memes exist. Not many bands taking chances and making great non-radio music. There are a few. Would love to know more.
Rock maybe is huge in Europe but majority of concerts we're going on, are old-timer super stars from 70-90s. They are right, current rock is pretty nonexisting on a huge scale it once was. It's really sad.
Serpico's Beard I don't he says thay rock is dead. He KNOWS it is not. There's a reason many people (like you and I) are commenting here. It's just a fact. The "Rock stars" are just...not as well known as rock stars were years ago. C'est la vie. I think both of those guys and I would much rather listen to Gojira than listen to something very poppy.
You guys should react to some of their kill em all songs
Four Horsemen is my favorate Metallica song.

Not of of their best, thee best song they ever made.

I'm 34 & been playing drums since I was 3 years old & guitar since I was 17, Metallica, pantera, sabbath, van halen, hendrix inspired me the most in all honesty as a kid, I learned sooo much from them, but with youtube I still learn new things everyday , its never to late to start & learn even just for fun... I learned guitar from my band members I jammed with & now as I'm older I can't be so loud with the drums so I play guitar alot, looking though solo lessons I found your Vids & u guys kick ass, keep doing what u do, pause, comment, have fun cause I just spent hours watching your vids n stopped practicing lol. Btw avenged sevenfold was what inspired me as a drummer when I was in a band n sinister gates was what made me realllly want to pick up a guitar, when there drummer Jimmy "the rev" sullivan passed after the afterlife album it really impacted my life cause he was a awesome person & on nightmare they had mike portnoy from dream theater play for them if u didn't know. But it put a smile on my face how much u liked all the bands I've grown up listening to . Blessings from all the metal heads to you 2
Such a great, hard-hitting tune Man, and super fun to play on my bass! I saw this tour twice, two nights in a row in Atlanta. The first date sold out so fast they added a second show and both were freaking incredible to witness. No opening act, no break/intermission and they slayed for a full three hours straight! Never forget it…

Still binge watching you guys! Loving your reactions. Still wondering where your Stevie Ray Vaughn is? Texas Flood is the rock equivalent to Tennessee Whiskey. Always listen to his live versions, he’s so much better live.
Metallica was my first concert. It was back in 92' when the "Black album" was released the year before I believe. It was at the Omni in Atlanta. They played on a rotating stage. It was Awesome. I'll never forget it. It was also a school night lol.
One of my favorite things about the music in this song is how the beginning it all sounds disjointed, and then "BANG!" and it all comes together...
GUYS the METAL SCENE is fucking red hot right now so many new bad ass bands just to let you know :D P.S a lot of people don't appreciate the Bass Player dude l love when bands put bass to the fore font its not only about drum and guitar.
