PRIMITIVE POTTERY Making with NATURAL CLAY | Without A Kiln - Pit Fire - 6 DAYS Bushcraft Adventure
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- In this bushcraft video I collect natural clay from the forest, then I make some pottery and I fire them in a pit fire for the first time!! Without A Kiln
All of this in nature and with basic equipment.
(the final was a little bit of a fail because some of them broke)
This was an amazing adventure!!
I hope you guys enjoy this video!
Lots of love, Meen

Thank you so much for watching!
I don’t think it was a fail at all. Some clay can take 2 weeks to dry. Maybe next time 2 trips. One to get the clay and then 2 weeks later to fire the clay. This is amazing and so fun to watch

That wasn't the problem, she didnt work the clay into a body at the start, pushing all the air out, you can see this from the cracks in the tops of the pieces that the clay wasn't homogenized.
it also depends on the amount of grog used, lots of it make the clay less plastic but make it dry faster and easier to fire since it doesnt crack as easily when exposed to a thermal shock
Great to see a young person out trying these skills. Beautiful setting to work, keep the vids coming enjoy them all.
This method produces two useful things: clay pots and charcoal, if you scale it up the amount of charcoal would be enormous, if you sift it you can use for BBQ.
A Braved girl like you is really amazing.
❤️🥰
That is the coolest camping video ever, very different from other camping videos but still informative and entertaining.
You rock, young lady, and you make asians like me very proud (i also go camping withmy family, but i am not even close to your skills).
One rice cooker that wont be used again !!!! Good job ...
oh shut up
You always surprise us with your talents Meen, that’s so amazing my friend! It doesn’t matter if a couple broke, that’s still awesome! Thanks for sharing! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It must be a lot of work walking up to a particular spot to place the camera down to then walk back down and then walk back up to get the shot you want and then repeat every time. Worth it because your videos are great!
It is actually ahah but I like to do it and share my adventures with you guys
@@asiangirlinthewild You do a fantastic job!! I like your style.
Well done that was fantastic cheers OZLAPN Australia
Thank you ! Really appreciate
Awesome, but next time add more grog/sand/temper, and then wedge your clay some more, then make your walls more thinner (no bigger than 1/2 inch), but overall your pit firing experience was excellent

this is such a cool video!! i live by the sea and there's often bits of clay on the beach after a storm. one day i hope to make something with it, so this is really inspiring!
Very nice job! So what some pieces broke. You tried this while the rest of us sit home and watch 😋
Thank you Beez
I do not understand why 16 people would dislike this Meen...jealous voices, there are always jealous voices. I wonder if any of them would like to come up to the Highlands with me and see how they fare in a survival situation? 🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓🐓
Hey Barrie , there is always Haters , I feel pity for them 😂 ahaha yes u are right !
Nice.
Great patience needed
Thank you 😊
Yes indeed
Wao es maravilloso
the day it gets more exciting watching it, so there are many natural ideas from nature, feel at home and be more enthusiastic, successful and happy, always friends
Wow thank you so much 😊
Your coil pottery skills are that of a beginner, if this was your first time, or first few times, I'd say you did ok, but you forget to use the bonding pinch after you set your coils around your pot, you also have to smooth the pot with your fingers out after each coil you set, and bond to your pot. You also don't need to bury the pots either, you just got to lay your fire wood around the pot or pots, and then just let the fire burn until its done burning. I hope these tips helps you out on future primitive pottery videos.
Thank you so much 😊
It will for sure help
Nice video
😊 thank you!
What camera do you use ? The quality is so good ,wow
keep it up
Ya quality is great

You can find alot of good clay under the roots of fallen trees instead of walking that tight trail..its safer for you
Or by rivers and streams
Great job!
Thank you Vaz!

You have great skills in the wilderness. Great job!
Thank you 😊
How did you come up with this creative idea? It takes creativity and drive to start making pottery from clay you collect your self. I am impressed and I thinking about how your future projects will be? What will your profession be one day? Architect, engineer, nature guide? Looking forward to your next adventure - stay safe:)
I don’t know exactly, they just come to me watching the small details and doing something I love.
Thank you so much

Thanks John
You too 😊
You also made some great cooking charcoal!!! Made using a similar process.
bravo!!! tu sais vraiment tout faire! tu es géniale , ma fille! continue , comme ça! encore bravo!
Like the flat stacked rock out in the "wild".
To help prevent cracks do a small fire and put around the pottery to dray more and turn them. Better live the pottery to dray for one day before.
Thank you for the tip 😊
@@asiangirlinthewild your videos are useful 😄. Greatings.
What about basket weVing? She uses really great hauling baskets. I would like to know how to construct them myself. Thx.
Great project and shovel

Great video, good camera work/ interesting shots. Hard tough going through all that effort to gather your own clay but can the Patreon buy some pottery lessons? The unevenness drove me crazy lol
Thank you so much 😊
I’m not that good ahah just I’m just a beginner as well
I think it beats an even store bought pot in my book!
Can I ask your general location?
Just curious to what forest you're roaming around
Super ☺☺☺🌹🚙

Hi ! Thank you so much 😊
Fantastic Asian girl all the best from INDIA 🇮🇳.... 🤝👍😍🥰😘
Hi 😊
@@asiangirlinthewild Hello, How are you😊
Clay working is almost like working chocolate haha =) ..because you have to add already made chocolate dust to the new chocolate so the new chocolate follows the merkabah crystal structure of the previously made chocolate much like the clay bowl tempering.
I've never tried this but I want to now
Super
😊
Where is this filmed at? I know it says Asian girl but this looks like East Tennessee in the National Park Area. There is even a gate with reflective on it in the back grown. Like the ones used to close of the roads going into the mountains. When the weather is bad or something has happened to close the road. It looks like a area call Greenbrier or the 7 mile loop going to the hiking trails to Rainbow Falls...
This area is Beautiful and looks so much like E. Tn. Smoky Mnt National park area which is where I live. So Im curious to where this is filmed at.
Enjoyed the video
Thank you..😊👍👍
Nice work

Awesome video 👌 loved it ❤
Thank you!
Pottery was good. Good kiln so some broke so what. Now when you crawled across the logs and used that branch to steady your self, never thrust it to hold you or that the log is not going to take you for a ride.
Ummmmmmmmmmm...
All videos super madam
Awesome ❤️❤️❤️

Excelente idea por lo que veo hay que tener conocimientos de supervivencia para estar así a la intemperie ósea en la naturaleza sin ninguna herramienta y poder subsistir así.
Beautiful landscape where you are! What state?

Ok
That's a nice forest

😊👌👌 mast
😊
putting cold earth on top would have cooled the fire way to fast
What's that red sand she's using and what's the purpose of it?
It’s cooked clay, it’s to prevent cracking when cooking
You should paint them
