Theres nothing Survival in this video, its concept is just amusing, and primitive, but in survival situations you dont spend 4 days to build tree nest shelter... :)
I cannot believe you built that on your own and to see you pull it up the tree on your own is absolutely amazing. The work that went into building it. Well done you 👏👏👏👏👏

When I saw the thumb nail for the video it got my attention. Started watching the video and need to finish until the end. What seemed like a job for several men you did it single handily. Lifting the basket on your own took a lot of skill and brains. Both of which you have tons of. Great job and well done!

Umm actually ...natural building techniques & skills have been around since the dawn of mankind on the earth and exisisted in every region & evolved in every culture the entire world over... So really isn't a new creative idea, it has & will always be a matter of function of survival over that of form & functions of convenience when considered closely, especially when sustainability & environment impact is taken into account.
I don't think 🤔 this video contains this much hard work By seeing thumbnail I thought it's edited one but this much hard work and beautiful skill it has I don't no, I am just impressed bro good 👍👍👍 Keep going 😊😊 All the best from India 🇳🇪😊
Definitely an efficient, quick way to make a very good shelter. Waterproof, insulated. No heavy logs to lift. Building one on the ground would be even faster.

lovely. I have always wanted to do a woven tree nest house, for real! but I always imagined that the basketry would be woven *in* the tree, as a integrated component with the branches. that would also mean you don’t have to do the big basket lift engineering feat, with all of it’s beautiful lessons on mechanical leverage. is there water nearby? this is a site so rich with resources for primitive building! and for anyone who is aware or wants to be aware of the health hazards of cooking directly in aluminum, you can do the same fire roasting technique but make a mud shell around the squash and cook it inside of the mud, then crack the mud off to eat. the nest is very cute. I love that it is a treehouse that doesn’t hurt the tree at all. when you started throwing the mud balls instead of lifting a sack of heavy mud, I felt better for you! it did make me aware that perhaps one of the first things to build in a nest like that is an integrated pulley to get objects up and down, almost as important as a rooftop really because it’s helpful in the build process then useful in the dwelling phase. I always wonder with videos like this, is this land that you own, or are you wandering out into random woods and building huts? any other primitive builders can chime in on that. just curious. because the rounded edges of the basket are quite strong, I imagine you could weave a second story onto this if wanted. well done sir!
