So I used to work in criminal defense, not as an attorney but as a paralegal.
There were a lot of men (a couple women) accused of SA that did not do it. The reasons for reporting them were either fucked and regret it, they wanted to ruin that persons career and blackmail.
A VAST majority of SA cases are the real deal and need to be dealt with accordingly
However, there are bad apples everywhere
