Normally you can leave tc in their containers until you’re ready to transition but now that youve opened it you’re going to have to get them out as soon as possible or they will start to mold. I dump it out into a bowl of water and use tweezers to separate the plantlets and get off all the gel. I pot mine up into stratum or a stratum perlite mix. Then make sure they are domed with 100% humidity. After a few weeks like that you can start transitioning them to lower humidity very slowly.
Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but since you have opened the TC container you will have to move the TCs to another container out of that agar solution since everything has been exposed to bacteria. You will have to soak the TCs in fungicide then in water. You’ll be able to plant your TCs in a substrate then. Some people I’ve seen do pure stratum or a mix of perlite and stratum. I like to dip my TC in a rooting hormone before planting. You are correct that with them being so young higher temps and high humidity will be best. I put my TCs under a dome and wait until they’re acclimated and are more established to remove them from the dome. Again if anyone has corrections or better suggestions please post.
I second this and even like go through what soil mixes you use for all your different plants etc. like for different species. I know soil ninja do pre mixes but I know people don’t always just use them. It would be really good to see what you use for different things because your plants grow sooo well
@@tarrenkittie1532 I use lechuza pon (lots of similar products)-1/3 pon, 1/3 large perlite (size 4)- and 1/3 small size orchiata. Mix together-and I use it in a glass vase, a 1” Leca layer where my reservoir never exceeds the reserboir
Hoya Tendon Red is a $500 plant in the US. far above my pay grade but I do hope you will keep us updated on that one as I LOVE it....that vein is everything 😍
I've done tissue culture on 6 plants (all aroid) so far. Here is what I did. When they first arrived, I left them alone in their packet and put them under a grow light for 2 days. After that, I took them out of their packets and rinsed the gel away. Be sure to get _all_ of the gel off; as I understand it, they'll rot if you don't because of sugar in the gel. To rinse mine, I just used tap water. I turned the faucet on the "rain" setting and aimed the individual streams all over the plantlet. The "rain" setting was good because it got into all in the crevasses. One they were all rinsed off, I potted them up in a coco husk, perlite, bark and charcoal mix. I had to spend time picking the smallest pieces of the materials since the plantlets were so small. Then I gave them a good drink, and put them parfait cups, the ones with the closed domes to trap the humidity. Then I left them closed in the cups for 7 days under the grow lights. After 7 days, I started acclimating. I opened the cups in the morning for 1 hour on the first day, 2 hours on the 2nd day, 3 on the 3rd and so forth until they were in ambient air for 24 hours. To avoid having to wake up in the middle of night to close the lids; once I reached 8 hours, I switched to night-time acclimation. I opened the lids at night and closed them in the morning. Once I saw my first new leaf, I started fertilizing. All size plants are alive and well.
Leave tc plantlets alone for 48 hours. Then rinse all gel off. Rinse, rinse rinse the rinse again. All gel must be removed. Then pot in tiny container with medium of your choice well draining. I use tree fern, amended with perlite, small bark, small amount of good soil mix.
Definately want to see the 'so happy I'm speechless' Claire, aka 10 y/o on Christmas morning. I don't need the nodal spacing etc in an unboxing😁 I was thinking that a thundershirt might be useful for yoli/jolie (sorry) while you have building work happening
My Philodendron Glorious is growing very happily in medium light. It’s pulled 1.5 metres away from a south-east facing window and giving me a new leaf every month or so. Because it’s a fast grower this is absolutely fine for me, but I think it would grow even better in more light. Also it looks great on a moss pole. The leaves turn slowly towards the light
Great plants! 🌱 My Ph. Glorious struggled in my old flat, tried everything ( it is on a moss pole). Had it under a skylight, near a window, in a medium light spot, you name it. For a year it grew slowly, small leaves which would later brown off. Then in August 2023 I moved to my new home. I put the Glorious up against a south facing window in my dining room on the ground floor, and what do you know, it has burst into growth, each leaf is bigger than the last and sizing up very well. Oh, the window faces my covered terrace/patio so it hardly ever gets direct sunlight. Sometimes in winter, when the sun is shining and lower in the sky, it might get some direct sunlight. I also have a grow light which is on all day on cloudy days. It never stops pushing out new leaves, one unfurls and I see a new one ready to burst out!
I just bought a Crystallinum x Regale hybrid a week ago which looks very similar to yours. I also fell in love when I saw it in a shop, it's just beautiful! 😊
That first Majestic, does NOT look like it’s been in the mail flying to almost every country for 10 days!! Its been warmer than usual here in southern bc Canada as well, averages of 35-40 Celsius for the last couple weeks
I have my glorious 50cm from a large south/west window and it grows like crazy! I grew it from a cutting i got last year and now the leaves are gigantic.
Hi 😊 I have the Ph.Glorious and I have my grow lights facing them directly on a moss pole and it has just sized up so quickly, so I think more light (grow light or south facing window) will do it wonders ❤
TC plantlets must be left alone for 48 hours to adjust in the area where you are going to grow them for example in your cabinet would be the best. Then clean with distilled water and a plant brush removing all of the gel agar. Then rinsed again and maybe again in clean distilled water. When planting up use tree fern fiber and perlite mix 50/50. Then keep them with a dome on then in 100% humidity for at least 2 weeks before starting to transition them a little every day
Curious what you thought about moving away from moss to a more climate friendly option like tree fern? Sphagmun can grow more quickly than peat but I’ve seen a trend of moving away from using moss to other growing mediums.
GOsh I forgot how pretty the Majestic was. I had mine in a wonky pole and have been neglecting it completely. I restarted it just a few hours ago, but I definitely will be giving it more attention now that I'm reminded of how pretty the mature leaves are
My glorious is growing well under a growth light in an otherwise zero light corner. It's never had pests, despite is neighbour catching thrips. It's never given me any drama of any kind really. I have the gloriosum also which gets mid light from a windows and is equally easy going. Don't get me started on the Melanochrysum, jeeze the diva vibes are strong with that one! Seems like my glorious takes after is laid back father gloriosum luckily. Hopefully yours does too 😁 I just chopped anf extended my glorious a couple of days ago. Got a bunch of cuttings from chopping up the lower half, all are doing well so appears that propagation are straight forward too. They're currently in moss.
So happy for you!!! I'm fairly new plant parent and I have a Redemption, Pharaoh's mask and a Jacklyn on the way. Hopefully mine look as healthy as yours.
U r awe some Claire U keep my interest in taking care of beautiful plants. Alive! 😆 Your tedious. Untiring patience 💚🍒🧚♂️for green things is inspiring -thx
Oh my god I'm obsessed with the purple green on that hoya!! It seems very rare since I can't see where else I could purchase it online (Aroidasia charge 65 euro to ship to Ireland)
Hi Clair! Your videos should always come with a warning! 😂 After watching this unboxing I went to the Aroidasia website just to have a look... and ended up placing a rather hefty order! And then it hit me, I had forgotten to use your promo code! I've emailed them and ended up ordering even more plants! Am I in a hoya rabbit hole????? 😂😂👊
Aroid Asia has truly horrible reputation all over the Internet - I have seen sadly many unsponsored videos on UA-cam and Reddit threads where people received dead plants and some ended up crying 😞 Given this bad reputation, they recently contacted several UA-camrs offering them free plants for a nice review. However, unless promoting themselves, they unfortunately don´t seem to send plants in good shape at all.
I've always understood that if it just says 'x' with no other name then its crossed with itself Or there is also the chance it happened to get pollinated with something near by it and they just aren't sure....
My glorious is my easiest largest plant. I love her 🥰 I got very excited about grabbing some from Aroid asia but £70 postage 😢. I think Ill have to stick to Ecuagenera 😢
Love this! Just been to order the majestic and glorious with your code but it says it’s not applicable to the contents of the basket :( is there a minimum spend or anything that you know about?
Great import haul! The Anthurium is beautiful. It has the typical regale sinus and upper "ear" shape, similar to magnificum. My guess is either a papililaminum or magnificum hybrid based on the leaf shape, sinus, and veination.
"Enough" is going to look different for everyone. This is her livelihood, and if she has the space and the means to acquire more plants, who is it hurting? It makes her happy.

You are correct
100% agree.
Yup! Super worried but hopefully she’ll get to it after this video? …
could you please do a video or series going in depth about different types of soil like leca, moss etc. thank youu
I second this and even like go through what soil mixes you use for all your different plants etc. like for different species. YES!!!!❤
I would love to learn more about the semi hydro mix, can't get Soil Ninja in the states 😢

The “ black seam leafed “Hoya
Is amazing!

I call the Melanochrysum the Philodendron Melanocrisis cause fuck that plant 😂 Looking forward to one day adding a glorious though
SAME. I have about 12 on the go at the moment and at least one is going in the bin tomorrow
I would love to know where you get those tall clear 'tower pots'. That anthurium is GORGEOUS!
They might be calling it a Regale hybrid because they spotted a Regale with berries - not pollinated by themselves - and just grew them on....
Definately want to see the 'so happy I'm speechless' Claire, aka 10 y/o on Christmas morning. I don't need the nodal spacing etc in an unboxing😁

Thanks for the vid…an idea for tall pots in this instance would be a plastic pop bottle…can be any height u want xxxx

I’ve been told that the philodendron hybrids are much hardier than the parent plants. ❤ I loved this haul! Great specimens!
great haul claire! that neutralise is just what i've been looking for, thanks for the mention
I just bought a Crystallinum x Regale hybrid a week ago which looks very similar to yours. I also fell in love when I saw it in a shop, it's just beautiful! 😊

Beautiful Regale. My guess for the pollen parent is Besseae due to the dark leaves and bright green veins. Very pretty. 💚
Love that anthurium I am so envious!!!!!! Always love your videos-Always motivates me to do plant care that needs doing
So excited for you! They all look great 🌿💚
I have my glorious 50cm from a large south/west window and it grows like crazy! I grew it from a cutting i got last year and now the leaves are gigantic.
Hello Claire from PR!! Beautiful plants…enjoy!! The last Hoya must be a Aceh hybrid due to the line on the back of the leaf. 🍃🪴🙋🏼♀️
Hoya Tendon red is gorgeous 💚🌸
Hi 😊 I have the Ph.Glorious and I have my grow lights facing them directly on a moss pole and it has just sized up so quickly, so I think more light (grow light or south facing window) will do it wonders ❤
Beautiful plants Claire!
I especially love watching your unboxing videos, your joy is so contagious i cant help but smile along with you!
So exciting! Beautiful plants! 🪴
Reading all the comments on TC…I honestly didn’t know but now if I come across it I’ll know what to do!

Hi Claire, where do you get your clear pots from, small to large? Thanks
How much is delivery Claire? I can’t see it on their website. I’m in UK too Scotland to be precise. X
Great plants. I love Hoyas ❤❤❤
Good watch! Lucky girl 🎉🎉

Wow! That majestic is in so much better condition than the plants I import from Ecuador to the US.
Looks almost like it's a regale warocqueanum because of the length of that leaf! But I don't even know if that's a possible cross 😍
Loved watching you open the plant box. Do you know if there is a different name for the Hoya Red Tendon? I wasn't able to find it or the flower. 😀
Beautiful plants but I really want to know where did you get those clear pots 🙏🏻
I've always understood that if it just says 'x' with no other name then its crossed with itself

Ooo a Majestic, I would absolutely love one of those 💚
I paused the video half way and used your code 😅 Thank you!!!
Happy planting ❤️❤️❤️
good clean fun 😀

hello. Thank you. insane sharing, see ya,
Love this! Just been to order the majestic and glorious with your code but it says it’s not applicable to the contents of the basket :( is there a minimum spend or anything that you know about?
Actually don’t worry! The $70 shipping prices it right out for me unfortunately :( sad as I was going to get the glorious, majestic and verrucosum 😢❤
free plants lucky
Great import haul! The Anthurium is beautiful. It has the typical regale sinus and upper "ear" shape, similar to magnificum. My guess is either a papililaminum or magnificum hybrid based on the leaf shape, sinus, and veination.
A gorgeous lady...
Please let that leaf open naturally 😂
I wonder how well they would ship to the states... 🤔
Will you find room for these new beauties? 😲💚✨
Plants in Jars is a Great channel on Utube about Tissue Culture Plants
Hi Ross 🤣🤣🤣💖
Anthurium regale x papi?
💚💚💚

job me❣❣❣❣
I love your videos but, when do we say enough is enough and take care of plants that we have and stop indulging in more plant buying.
"Enough" is going to look different for everyone. This is her livelihood, and if she has the space and the means to acquire more plants, who is it hurting? It makes her happy.
What a Stunning unboxing best of luck with their settle in time. 🤞🏻🪴🤞🏻🪴🤞🏻
