Thank you Michael. Being a muso I’ve seen a lot of people get lost in booze. I was probably on the brink of getting lost to it. Glad I’ve knocked it on the head. I’m also glad you like the channel. This is actually video number 180.
Only use to have the odd beer 🍺 but just didn’t see the point as you can’t drink when driving so stopped 14-15 years ago If I smell any alcoholic it’s horrible 👍
Great video. Tried to look up how much 16 p is. Didn't have much luck understanding the break down. Great job laying off the alcohol and getting healthier. 🙂
@@scottl5028 cheers Scott. They were definitely 16p when I bought it. Pretty sure it was on offer then. I bought the can a couple of weeks ago. But even 42p is better than £1.70 for a certain well known brand.
Not sure what the skull is from. I do now as regular Asda customer their essentials range is going to be kept at same price for at least 1year . Also, can you let me know where you got your flame thrower/fire lighter from please. Cracking video and keep up the great work. Cheers Mate.
Thanks Andrew. The lighter is a BBVP turbo jet flame lighter. I got it off Amazon. I made a video about it a couple of months ago if you want to have a look. ua-cam.com/video/jrpJPNtzjTw/v-deo.html
I use my trangia in my bushbox and my crusader kit, but I’ve always wanted the full trangia kit as you show in this vid, but am struggling to find a stainless steel version. Everything advertised seems to be the aluminium type. 🤔
Cheers Rob. My one is an old aluminium ex Duke of Edinburgh trangia I was given when they were replaced by new ones. I haven’t really looked up any stainless ones. Heavier but better for you though I would think.
Trangia don't make stainless steel pots nowadays, but they do make something awesome... "duossal". Stainless steel inside and aluminum outside. They heat up very evenly and are great for cooking :) Other option is hard anodized aluminum which is supposed to leach less aluminum into food.
@@Tiger-789 cheers mate. My trangia is quite old these days. It’s an ex Duke of Edinburgh that had been used for years before being replaced by new ones. Still life in it yet though.
16p, you can’t go wrong with that mate 👍 looked like you got plenty of sausages and the sauce looks good as well. Stock up for the year ahead, you never know 😉
Yeah just what I was thinking. Apparently you can only buy three cans at a time. I’ll be testing that theory at the scan and go this evening at the weekly shop.
1 year later and those same beans & Sausages are now 58p. Rip off Britain or what. Great vid by the way. Just got mesen a trangia. Gonna have a go at that. Cheers
They are fine mate.. Soups are decent too .The Corned beef is from the same plant in Brasil as the Princes brand ,the inspection stamps are the same on both types of beef.🙂
the skull, no eye deer ;) Can't go wrong at 16p !!!! I just checked the price, and inflation is rampant !!! just essentials, asda baked beans & sausages, now 42p a can (online price)
Cheers John. It’s a Trangia 27. Developed by the Swedish military. The burner I’m using is a spirit burner. I’m using methylated spirits in it. There’s also a gas burner that you can use with it.
Damn. That’s a big hike. I bought them two weeks ago. They weren’t on offer or anything. I’ll be doing the weekly shop Wednesday so I’ll have another look. But like you say, 42p is still good. And they taste alright to me.
@@robtherover I buy quite a lot of the just essentials stuff (got too nowadays on a crap pension, it's either eat or heat !!!) The veg soup at 24p is very nice also the tomato soup at 30p. I'd sooner have 4 tins of that than one tin of heinz. Great review though, keep it up and well done on staying off the booze.
I'd say a "dead" dear 😂😂😂😂 on a more serious note, Asda are limiting people to only 3 of the sane items of the essentials range , I was behind a woman last night who had 4 packs of essential range bin bags and the cashier said she could only have 3!!!
That`s a Fallow deer skull Rob. Thanks for another excellent video.
Ahh cheers for that. I was hoping someone would know what type of deer it was.
great vid rob, always enjoy the trangia cook outs most.... im off to asda next week soup n a roll and unlimited tea or coffee £1.... for over 60s...
Cheers Paul. I don’t quite qualify.

Good to know about the pork and beans, think I'll be getting afew in after your video 👌, cool skull too, good health and safe travels, cheers craig 🙏🌿
Thank you Craig. All the best to you.
Good effort with the simmer ring😂😂😂😂!!! Always a pleasure to see you out and about. Stay safe regards from deepest Dorset 👍
I tried hard with it, and I think it worked. Just have the thing wide open works a treat.
25 tins of beans or one mre ,its a no brainer, whats your old deers name? A classic trangia meal that. All best Will
I’m just going to call her my dear.

Native Americans used to set up sculls and bones so others would know what animals are about.

Nice one Rob...will be loading up on those tomorrow..good to keep in the cupboard along with some spam 👌🏽
Good idea mate. It tastes pretty good too. I was quite surprised.
Just been to Asda and they are 42p a can and you are only allowed to buy 3 cans!

Rob if you magnetised the

Rob how and what is your heater cooker and was wondering how it functions is it pressurised or just a wick? I be interested to know 👍

Look Asda? Robs here for more sausage beans
Put the price up. Great vid rob
Ha ha yeah. I bet they won’t be 16p next time.
You could have spent 7 or £8 on an MRE all day breakfast.
And a tin of the same for 16p ????
Just goes to show really 👍👍👍😁😁😁
I thought the same thing. The all day breakfast in a tin is exactly the same as the mre breakfast I had. At a fifth of the price.
I think you must have dropped lucky in Asda's The just essentials beans and sausage are 42p. Still cheap at that, it's nearly £2 for Heinz !!!
