He is really a very handsome man..beautiful eyes, perfect body size, great hair..gently masculine charisma.. with a good voice as well. In my eyes he is simply perfect
I can tell by Bryan's outfit there this was around the 1990s and the release of his Mamouna album. He wore a similar outfit in some of the videos done for that album. It's one of my favourite's of his solo albums.
I can remember the original single release by Roxy Music and that iconic video of him in the pastel blue silk suit and pink tie (which was quite radical for the time in 1981) and the extreme close up of his face. I was only 9 years old but astonished by it and became an instant fan of Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry.
Interesting, though not surprising, how the style of his vocals in songs he did earlier changes with time. In this performance the style of the Mamouna album clearly rubs off. It suits the song, I like the way he sings it here very much. His vocals on Mamouna are a category for themselves, anyway. Mesmerizing album. Great video :) , only the presenter's stab at the Woodstock era irritated me a bit - I love the summer of love AND Bryan Ferry :)
It's John Lennon's song he wrote it after he cheated on Yoko Ono with their personal assistant and they separated briefly. He made the song to basically say sorry (the other was Woman). So it must be very special to Yoko Ono.
What people don't know is this song came about quite by accident and was never produced in the studio or even intended to be released as a single. Roxy were on tour (in Germany) when they heard the news of Lennon's death. They did this cover of his song as a tribute at the end of the concert, and it was so well received they continued doing it on the tour. It was around a year later they released it as a single and it became Roxy's first no1 hit.
@@paullangton-rogers2390 ? I'm a bit confused. You say it was never produced in the studio, but the single sounds like the quintessential studio cut. Are you saying it's live?
apparently i look like this guy. i was standing in a bar in holland and had my pic took, and i asked what the hell was going on, they starting singing. i was like what the fuck!!!. lol then they said. thought it was funny really.
Yeah the song was fairly unremarkable for Lennon just an album track with very personal meaning for him and Yoko Ono. Roxy Music (headed by Bryan Ferry) did it as a concert tribute song and later released it as a single which became their first no1 hit. Bryan Ferry has made a career out of covering other peoples songs doing much better versions than the originals. These kind of sad love ballads suit his overall performance and singing style. This song remains a staple at any Bryan Ferry concert he always performs it near the end.. I've seen him do it live 3 times, and it's always amazing how much emotion he puts into it every time sweat pouring off him and physically shaking sometimes. He sings from the soul and gives it his all.
@pakitovillanueva maybe maybe he does a good cover song of John Lennon but only comes in second to to what the late John Lennon did. But still not a bad try.
You have hearing problems Bryan ferrys is the best version in fact he pans lennons version or maybe you are delusional lots of people agree with me on this

He is really a very handsome man..beautiful eyes, perfect body size, great hair..gently masculine charisma.. with a good voice as well. In my eyes he is simply perfect
I totally agree with you…. for me he‘s the sexiest man alive. ❤

Yeah, everyone knows that dude. It was released as a tribute to Lennon.
