I hope Cameron pins this, but before anyone bashes on me, just a heads up, I de-tuned myself to stock. Honda likes to keep it so the turbo doesn’t spool up fast. When tuned you get the spool earlier and it can keep on giving you better boost. On the accord, you have to get a laptop and re tune to stage 1-2 while the si has it so you can do it anytime in the gauge cluster. Also like to mention I’m on stock internals and Cameron has some modifications. I’m not trying to bash Cameron as I wanted him to at least have a chance against a stock 2.0t. We have been discussing this race since 3 months and now I know have to go even harder when I get my mods. A lot of people like to bash on the Accord due to it not being an SI and I understand that the channel is mainly targeted to SI owners. If I were to have a V6 Accord, then the audience prospective would change dramatically. I did this for fun and all, but when it comes to people bashing on other people’s rides when they are simply stock as well, makes me wonder why do they talk. A lot of people also bash on the fact that I have a “Sports” Accord. Yes it’s a sport trim accord, not a sports car! Anyways, I’m getting carried away, till next time Cameron, I now know what I’m going against and my POV will be up soon. FYI- compression ratio is the same for the Accord 2.0t vs the FK8 Type R

Cool car, great races. I think there's a lot of respect due to the stock accord that barely lost to a heavily modified Civic Si. The Type R hogs the limelight but the 2.0 Accord is a menace.
Honda really does make great cars. Civic Si, Accord 2.0T Sport, Accord V6, Prelude can’t go wrong.
Yeah I get if you’re always in traffic manual could get tiring but not me my job 7 miles away so I really enjoy driving my 6speed Accord coupe

I drove bumper to bumper traffic daily for 20 years and all my cars have been manual.Why pay all the bread for an Accord Sport 2.0, and go with the autotragic? Terrible choice unless your elderly.

I feel the same way. All of my cars have been manual since 1999. I sit in stop and go traffic all of the time, and I'd still rather have a manual for when traffic is good. I just don't ride that close to the person in front of me so that I'm not on the clutch all of the time. I'll forgo a faster 0-60 for a 6-speed M. I enjoy the driving experience.

TripleM__QGTM fair enough. I guess it just depends on what you prioritize. I’d rather have the extra quickness but I guess for some they’d rather have the smoothness of the 6MT.
I have 2.0 T in Manual also. The real tragedy is that I read somewhere recently that they will no longer be putting MT in the Accords. Took months for me to find my 2019 MT and the dealers tried to discourage me by saying I probably won't find one. Well I did! And..well maybe automatic is faster, but that's because the computer makes it faster, not the person driving it. Driving a MT takes skill most people don't have anymore...well in the US cause drivers in other countries make fun of all the lazy automatic drivers here lol

It's the same for me when I race other people with my luxurious Genesis 5.0. It's literally 4500lbs! lol. It's not a sports car, but hey it keeps up with some of the cars meant for power.

Map2 was definitely pulling harder than map3. I have a jb4 in my Accord 2.0t 10at and run some e30 and it moves pretty nice.
Probably has nothing to do with Map 2 vs 3, though. Most likely driver mod for that specific run. Pretty sure that Map 3 objectively allows for more power than 2.
@@googlewolly could be... all these turbo cars suffer from heat soak, turning up the boost just makes it get hot that much faster and sometimes even with more boost it wont pull as hard

Cameron Hill I don’t think he’ll kill u, maybe get ahead of u half a car. If a 2.0t accord really wants to be fast it needs the type R turbo to compete in the modding specs of these vehicles. Although stock for stock the accord wins all day, with equal mods the si will always win.. good content and good diver mod. Them 50 rolls are deadly lol

Trevon Adams the 2.0t in the accord is a downgraded 2.0t in the type R same as how the fk7 is a downgraded 1.5t rather then the Si 1.5T. Here is the match up of the best 1.5t vs the weaker 2.0t. Mod for mod the Si will always win. Don’t believe me? search up a video and you’ll see FBO stage 2 si vs FBO stage 2 accord 2.0t. It needs the type R turbo to even have a chance. Don’t assume I’m making no sense before u look up the facts bruh.

i’d like to disagree, higher octane is better on a turbo for maximizing the horsepower, it’ll run fine on 87, but if you want to race jus on 91, you’d get the “full” power

This video is so fake. They guy in the Accord isn't even trying to win, he's just letting the si win so the guy looks good. I work for Honda and drive civic si's all the time and I'm always disappointed and wondering why such the following. Also I own a Accord sport 2.0 and it will walk an si any day. It's the same motor from the ctr just detuned a little bit.

I have a 19 touring sedan I was so close to Get a SI but I went for comfort with CVT now I regret it because I’m not able to make more power because of the CVT.

10spd is holding the record for the accords right now in the 1/4 mile over the manual. Compression on the k20 C1 and the C5 are the same. Turbo is just smaller in the accord.

So the Accord 2.0 is best from a launch start 0 to 60 it does not do well on rolling starts from 30 or 50 miles per hour. I have a 2018 Accord 2.0 t-sport and when I launch 0 to 60 I've got 4.9seconds I've also run the quarter-mile in 13.9 at 101 stock

Great races. Question: I have a 2.0t. I’m new to these motors. Will a downpipe make the car louder? If so, is it louder through the exhaust or is it more like louder from inside the car kind of like a cold air intake? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Like I said, I’m new to these engines. I’d just like to have better performance but I don’t want some crappy sounding exhaust note.
Thats not a dumb question at all, my friend. I think, with a downpipe, it will be a mixture of both. You will make the car louder from the outside, but you will also hear the exhaust a bit more from inside the cabin
Cameron Hill thank you for the response. A downpipe is probably not for me then. I don’t want a loud exhaust. I like the Thermal R&D exhaust system but that’s as loud as I’d want. It’s just a subtle change in sound which is what I’m looking for. Thanks again for responding.

Very good run. I will say tho, 87 vs 91 does make a different. It’s been proven by hondata. I too have an accord 2.0 and from day 1 I’ve been putting 91 but I put it in all my cars. Cam makes about 230~ to the wheels is the same as a stock 2.0t Accord makes on 87 as proven by the lemon factor dyno video. All in all a very good race for the accord for having about the same power with more weight.
I only put 93 in my accord 2.0t. And didn’t hondata dyno a stock accord 2.0 and it did 266hp/292tq to the wheels bone stock
Peter Kalos yea. I’ve seen that video. I dint know then. Maybe different dyno🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️. One was wheels spinning and the other was like a dyno pak or something. But I will be taking my Accord to get some pulls in with ktuner stage 2 to see what numbers it’ll do.
I think the problem here is the reaction, because you have a manual in the SI you can stay in 2nd o 3rd gear and floor it, the guy the in the accord have a 10 speed automatic if he have the car in auto the car have to downshift and it can take time, unless he has the car in manual mode with the paddle shifters and hold it in 3rd gear and then floor it 😅

Yes I tried to keep it in a higher RPM with the automatic gear selection aka the paddle shifters in sport mode.

Damn man, Honda must have really downgraded the 2.0T in the Accord from the Type-R. I would say that that was pretty much a tie. I’m interested to see how the 1.5T in the Civic Si holds up over, say 10 years, in comparison to previous years N/A K20 & K24. Anyways, nice pulls man. I’m tempted to trade my 2012 TSX SE 6-speed for a 2020 Si Sedan. My previous car was a 2006 Civic Si Sedan, stock, except for a K&N SRI, and I traded it for the TSX in 2013 with 332,000 miles on her. Never had a single problem with it, never even drank a drop of oil. Ran 7,500 OCI’s with Dino 5W30 oil.

Accord's are awesome , however the major difference between an Accord and the Si is the LSD. If you enjoy turning the car while making power , Si is a different animal.
A big reason I went with the Si was the LSD.. and also I couldn't afford a type r or a manual Accord 2.0T .. but um ya. lol

I have same color 2019 2.0T Sport but in 6 SP Manual and I am also a commuter. I love shifting the gears even in traffic and enjoy downshifting and watching the people behind me freak out at the sudden speed reduction without brake lights. When I first heard all the mods on the SI, I thought..well yeah the Civic is gonna beat that stock Accord. But I took exception to Jose talking mess about the 6 SP Manual and the difference in gas Octanes (I use 91)...and was glad his Accord got beat 🤣. I'll admit 10 SP auto is faster on take off than 6 SP manual..but my 6 SP Manual is still waaaay more fun to drive and my trani is made in Japan 😏
PS...I'm a woman btw and even the guys at the dealership was impressed with the fact I had the Sport in a Manual transmission 😁

Hey Cameron, do you use advanced VSA in the ktuner settings? and do you have any opinion on why you should or should not use it? I've been using it on aggressive for a few days now and my tires never slip anymore but I'm afraid I could be hurting the cat doing so.
I do not use that feature, since I never even floor my car in first gear. I can’t really offer an opinion, since I havent used it

If memory serves a stock Accord 2.0T 10AT runs a low 14/maybe high 13 1/4 mile in ideal condition so this is a good comparison.

Autozone octane booster lowered me to .49 and never over .70 for about a month straight
if the the accord had a higher octane rating that woulda been n ez gap cause the octane rating always helps the accord pushout more power than the 87 octane i have felt the difference before and I doubt the accord was in sports mode.
Something doesnt seem right? I'm Ktuned v2 on my 19' 2.0 Accord. Im installing downpipe soon.... I know Jose was stock. But that was embarrassing. He needs to ktune his car or return it. lol
It makes perfect sense. my FBO 10th Gen Si weighed about 3000 lbs less and was putting down *around* the same wheel horsepower as his (then) stock Accord 2.0T. There is nothing wrong about this video.

You should race a 10th gen with just a base map from Hondata or ktuner. See if there’s a difference between the base map and your TSP map
