Eh don't feel bad about spending your money on what you like. I do that all the time and last time I got the schminke full set I said why not we only Yolo once and people are allowed to have something for themselves right! Have fun I'm jealous of the full set I've only a few of those pencils since I got holbein ones and Faber in full sets so did feel a little overboard but who cares if it makes you happy do it to it 😊.
You do exactly what I do with colored pencils lol. No BS, I always have 2 new 150 set of Holbein colored pencils in my art studio inventory. 2 full 100 sets of Derwent lightfast, and I just refill my Derwent lightfast luxury full 100 set wooden box i bought last year, and 2 new 100 sets of Luminance, pablo and museum aquarelle. When I do 1 off colored pencils pieces, they are usually very large and I run through pencils like nothing. If you are a professional artist like myself, or even a hobbyist that takes it seriously, beginners trying to learn.... if you have the means to keep stocking up, so you have a replacement right there when you need it... it saves alot of time, effort, headaches and loss of motivation on a project or piece. Specially if you are making money from your art, back-ups are key.
I hope to be a professional artist one day! Here’s hoping I can learn to create some fine works eventually with all these pencils I have invested in! Regardless, I’ll definitely use them all trying to get there!

Hahaha, so hearing you about prices and postage for us over this side of the world. A couple of years ago I spent $900 on clothing when in hospital on morphine, don’t remember doing it lol. Darren won’t let me have my bank card when in hospital now, don’t know why lol 😝. I do a cult pens order twice a year, I think I’m just over half of my lumi’s and I’ve only bought them from there. Will be really interested in your opinion of the Derwent drawing pencils. I’ve had them sitting in my cart for a long time, I absolutely love muted tones so that’s what attracts me to them. Yes! The matchstick mouse books are totally reminding me of mercer Mayer. Love my neocolors and luminance. It sucks that you're still missing a pencil.
Yip, I’m aware, this was cheaper then 12+ fine tip Posca pens would cost me. I don’t use paint pens to often at this point in time so no need for the more costly brands. Thanks for letting me know regardless ❤️
Have you already tried the Derwent Drawing? I also bought them about 2 weeks ago I guess and finished the picture of American Bison from Fragile World. The fur went great and all pencils are nice to use, only the tip of Brown Ochre broke really many times. The core of this pencil is much softer than others.
Great haul, just started to watch. How about the pencil grip, does it really help? Aren't your fingers slipping on it? I have the same problem with my finger, so if this could help I would be soo happy :-D
No! They don’t slip, they grip the pencil because of that ‘jelly’ texture they have, and yes my finger doesn’t get sore as fast as usual so definitely an improvement
Yeah I’m done shopping for Art Supplies now, got enough to sink a small ship. Now to do loads of art with them 🤣 I think in future I’ll just order big batches of open stock pencils from cult pens as I use them. There prices are the same (for what’s available in NZ) or better.
I’m 4 short of luminance I’ll get them to finish my set and I have full set syndrome tried so hard to order should’ve ordered from cult pens Jackson’s shipping to the us So I need the freaking extra 4 too

They’re my fave pencil…I love their smell, creaminess…. Graphitints are fabulous too!
