Best thing on it i had really good Empire in Ancient lands. I sent kung to other island where i had found city with resources, since never galleys sank into ocean so i though it shoud be fine. Well, i was wrong.
This is not from multiplayer, but once i played against bots, and Japanese put their capital near a volcano and it errupted and they died on like 10th turn on smth
The dumbest way that I died was in my first ever QC game. So you know how there's two city elimination? Well, I lost a city, but the opponent moved all their units out of the city to bait me into taking it back, and I foolishly did and so they just waited for me to take it back with one unit in order to kill me. It's a cruel trick, and I've never made that mistake again. It sucked because I had just gotten an army and was going to fill it with spearmen. If I recall correctly I wanted to send the army of spearman over to the other enemy on my East, possibly offensively???
Funny stuff ;) Though if Barbs are so limp in modern mod why even have them in the first place? Guessing it is to prevent people from sending naked settlers?
Precisely. Generally spawning alone with room to expand safely is annoying to play against. Having barbs means they have to keep at least a couple units around at home. Also having camps to farm encourages players to get out on the map and not just stay at home.
Hey suede I found another bug. It happened to me twice recently. If you are in another civs cultural boundary, not at war, and they tell you to get out or else, if you get kicked out to a goody hut the game will crash. Really annoying 🤷🏻♂️
RE:Dallen Haven. Getting kicked out is very strange in the game. Sometimes the enemy enters your cultural border 1 or 2 tiles, but when you kick him out, instead of him being sent back 1 or 2 tiles, the computer will choose a neutral tile farther inside your territory, maybe 6-7 tiles away. So, instead of repelling the enemy, you have now helped him to further infiltrate your territory and maybe put him closer to your capital or a vital resource Makes no sense
I love this idea and think it's super cool but there are some challenges. The base game of Civ 3 is not at all designed for good naval combat. There's usually no amphibious units until the game's almost over. There's shockingly few offensive options for boats until halfway through the game. Boats are also slow and hold fewer units than would be well balanced (or realistic for that matter. Why is a galley half the speed of a non-mounted scout on a road?) This can be fixed with mods, although using boats is still pretty micro intensive and can be annoying at times. Still, I think they have the potential to add a ton to the game. Currently, of the main ranked ladder mods, QC and MPT are always played on pangea maps. Future and modern are played random, which often includes archi maps. I personally think Archi is the funnest of the map templates for these scenarios, as there action all across the map and more hidden information (you don't instantly scout your whole continent at the start of the game) A while back we were also working on an experimental, Age of Discovery style mod that that would be played on 50% water archi maps. If you have ideas for experimental multiplayer mods come join us in the discord, there's a ping for that.
Not properly, without rewriting the games code. There are some indirect things you could do in the editor though. So for example, you can only pop techs in the ancient era. So if you have a one era scenario, don't set that era as the first era if you don't want people to pop techs. You can also edit the difficulty levels. So you could re-edit say, chieftain, and give the AI all the bonuses they get on emperor. But you'd still get chieftain level hut results.
This was a singleplayer game, but I was scouting with my king on autoexplore (so I wasn't really paying too much attention) and it ended its turn next to an active volcano. The game didn't even last 15 minutes.
Sometimes people do just put king in a boat and send it to the bottom of the map. But if you get known for doing this often, people will look for it. You could guard it with a bunch of units but if people found it, they could just use sub cruises to pretty easily destroy it. Cruises/sub cruises are very cost effective against pretty much any unit in the game as long as that unit dies and isn't allowed to heal up.
I have a question that I'm hoping someone can answer; is is possible to Wake all units of the same type (and only that type) in a stack? Thanks everyone!
@@suedeciviii7142 its very fun to watch, I tried joining a multi game recently but the host ended when I mentioned it was my first game. Maybe ill keep that to myself lol

I hope this includes having your king in a galley and sending them out in the ocean🙂
Yeah... happened to me... 🤣

Yeah I've seen that too. Crazy how it can get their cap!
The content on this channel has come an insane long way, it's amazing
Thanks! I have a stockpile of footage now so it's much easier to piece together videos like this one.

Yeah, Point 5 on the list makes this tactic extra BS.
I object! My king death to barbs actually happened in a game of fut, not modern. Still an infuriating way to die though lol. Really enjoyed the vid!
Wow ok people lied to me.
When a king unit dies by enemy warrior...
No 11. Death by jaguar throwers 🤣
Jaguar warrior kill is the most big brain death imaginable. There's no shame in dying honorably.
Oh Gawd. I’m gonna be featured in here aren’t I? RIP.

I mean one time on Singleplayer Monarch I had my cap attacked by two warriors one minute in and the game ended.

How would you feel about a multiplayer game that is mostly island based, thus needing a lot of naval combat?

@@suedeciviii7142 Ok thanks for the help!
On a similar note, what is the rank of a 1 hp unit? Recruits are 2, regulars are 3, veterans are 4, elite are 5. What's 1?
Doesn't exist as a rank in an unmodded game. You could mod the game so drafts have 1 hp but then it'd just be a draft.
Oh shoot
I died twice in this video

Could you not just hide king in a fleet? Having a sub in the stack prevents stealth attacks right?
