- The new Peplink MAX BR2 Pro is a do-it-all cellular integrated router featuring dual 5G modems that enable simultaneous connections to two different cellular carriers.
The MAX BR2 Pro also features dual Ethernet WAN ports - making it easier to pair with Starlink and other Ethernet-out connectivity options.
Exciting and new in the BR1 line - a USB port allows tethering to mobile hotspots as well!
That's a LOT of WAN! And it comes at a hefty price point too of $2899.

Great coverage as usual.
$2899, tons of capability. Looks like an enterprise level router for someone running a business on the road, or someone with a big family and lots of money.
I love Peplink equipment.
The cat though....
She made the perfect cameo!
f*** yeah!
Have you reviewed/ could you review the inseego fw2000e? It has similar specs to this unit but for my rural home set up I think it would be simpler for external mounting.
We have them covered here: www.rvmobileinternet.com/gear/overview-inseego-wavemaker-5g-routers-mobile-routers/ But we have not reviewed them, as they're not overly targeted at the mobile market (our focus).
does this double your internet speeds with channel bonding? For example if you have 2 visible sim cards, will it be twice as fast?
Visible is not authorized for use in routers, it is a smartphone plan. And there are many variables as to how bonding works - and the goal is not twice as fast (but increased speeds can be possible), but reliability. Which we cover in this member guide: www.rvmobileinternet.com/bonding
$2899... Ouch.😕
Any updates on this device? Just got the Max Transit Pro Dual and some of the upload speeds on ATT are cutting it a little tight. Not sure if I should just bite the bullet for dual 5G now or give 4G more time. I need a solid connection for video calls and file moderate size file transferring.
There are many considerations, including local signal conditions at your current location. If you're a member, do post your questions in our member forums and our team will be happy to assist further.
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter thanks, yes I am, but still on the learning curve at the site. Will post soon. Thanks for the reply!
And for the sim can I use a data only sim such as cricket or other similar sim ?
Cricket only allows their data SIMS to be used in select hotspots. For router compatible plans, we keep our top picks here: www.rvmobileinternet.com/planpicks
Has this unit been updated at all with newer modems ? For 2023?
No, not yet.. still X55. Hopefully by the end of the year.
So this is pretty much top of the line if you want to use it for live streaming right theoretically if you have starlink wired lan and 2 5G cellular carriers it should seamlessly bond and you should never lose upload speed It might jump from 10 upload to 5 or lower but still you still have upload theoretically
It's our personal router of choice - you can see how we use it here: www.technomadia.com/internet
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter is this their only model in this line with 2 RJ45 wan ? I know most people just need one whn for starlink and then 5G but I would like 2 wan so I can also use people's local internet service where I live streaming
With firmware 8.4 and active PrimeCare you and use a LAN port as WAN as well. More: www.rvmobileinternet.com/peplink-firmware-8-3-is-packed-with-new-features-synergy-mode-dynamic-weighted-bonding-unlimited-speedfusion-data-and-virtual-wan/
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter oh very interesting so you could use a BR1 with dual bonded physical RJ45 win as well as 5G ?
Buying one as soon as they're on Amazon...
We really don't recommend buying some of this caliber on Amazon... other vendors would provide technical support that Amazon isn't able to do.
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter That's a risk I'm willing to take for same-day shipping and not having to find my wallet and enter my credit card number and shipping information. 1-click buy is why Bezos is one of the richest people in the world 😁.
I'm not going to pretend to know anything about this box.
It's seems like the amount of monthly fees to enable every feature is going to be pricey.
There are no monthly fees to enable any features on this device.
@@MobileInternetResourceCenter I think he's more referring to the monthly fees of the different cell/satellite plans "needed" to fully utilize all the features of this unit
Wow. That's just WAY too much money for the average RV'er.
I just can't justify that kind of price when there are other devices out there that do 95% of what this does for much less money.
There are currently no other such dual 5G devices on the market, except perhaps from Cradlepoint or Sierra Wireless. Which would be a similar price point.
I got a device that is $1200 + $160/usb modem.
Way overpriced for something you could assemble for a fraction of the cost with some pi's.
