Thanks Chris for sharing! I own the original Insty Connect 5G. I started with the original 4G. Nick (InstyConnect CEO) then provided a very reasonable upgrade to 5G, which I took part in. I also own the binoculars and they work in rural areas, but also in urban when you want to get away for tower congestion. Nick also provides FANTASTIC SUPPORT! LOVE IT! 11/10! Like 82

Fantastic...so my possible Great Loop solution on a Trawler would be the InstiConnect Square AND Starlink...going to a Pep Wave router. I dont think the Switchblade will work since boats sway too much horizontally and vertically. I would consider InstiConnects service plan and perhaps one of the other Big Three sim cards. I will need guaranteed high speed at all times since I will be working remotely.

We have 'one of everything' and there's no such thing as 'guaranteed high speed all the times' when mobile. But you can get mostly workable speeds much of the time.

Is the Squared antenna capable of permanent roof mounting on an rv,surviving weather and highway speeds?

Love the reference to the Last Star Fighter :-) Is the Insty Connect Squared and Switchblade OFFICIALLY certified on all three carriers? I'd hate to get one and have an issue once the carrier caught up with it and shut it down for not being completely certified.

The module has been certified, however Insty Connect has this warning on their site if you not are purchasing their T-Mobile based data plan: "Also, Insty Connect may not be 'approved' by your carrier of choice. Be sure to check with your carrier and secure your data plan before ordering."

Pretty sure the InvisaGig might fit the bill? Here's our first look at it: ua-cam.com/video/m-jOVJ2eAHU/v-deo.html

Will that work with my Netgear M6 pro?

It wouldn't be elegant, but the Ethernet port on the hotspot can be used as WAN with failover.

It sounds like they got the tech right, but they are priced for early adopters with too much money.
With a little competition, hopefully the price will be something I could stomach.

The pricing is actually quite aggressive. The closest competitors for roof mounted 5G & antenna is the Peplink HD Dome at $2799, and it's still only X55. The Winegard Air 360 is somewhat similar (but not all roof mounted) is $199 for the antenna dome and $999 for the 5G (X55) cellular gateway. The Invisigig is $649, but that's without any external antennas, and nor is it outdoor rated.
$799 for an outdoor unit POE X62 modem with dual SIM and roof mounted antenna is fabulous pricing (even better with launch pricing.)
