In this video, Clay Andrews shares the signs that you can watch out for on how to know if your ex is hurting after a breakup. Pretty sure you're not a sadist who will enjoy if they are hurting but you're probably curious about how they really feel.
Contrary to usual assumptions, even if your ex is the dumper, they might hurt too. You both invested time and emotions on your relationship and they might still show signs that they are hurting after breakup.
These signs include a possible meltdown mode, a destructive spiral, lessened social media presence and a rebound relationship.

#2 - 3:30 - They totally wall you out. (Being in contact would be too emotional.)

#4 - 7:24 - Having a rebound relationship. ("Look at me! I am so over them!" ... oh. Really?)
#5 - 9:22 - A good degree of silence on social media. Or excessive overuse. People try to force outcomes; but what's really happening emotionally?

My ex Completely ghosted me. Two weeks before she broke up with me she told me I was the most special person she had Ever met in her life Period--she put it this way verbatim. She told me she missed me So Much!! She said she wanted two weeks to decide. So I went full no contact. Two weeks later she completely ghosted me. It hurts so badly... but I think she's hurting too 😞

In my opinion as a girl I will request to give me a space first and then when the anger goes away we need to talking out and new start will go from there if we going to fix or bye for good.
What if there asking your friends and watching what your doing but won't talk to you? Then listen to others who you didn't get along with.
He doesn't even want me or hopes for me to contact him anymore.... he doesn't want to talk about us to his friends.. doesn't want to think about what it was between us, good or bad.. I am scared.. what if he wants to forget us forever.. he deleted 2 pics of me, just kept those with me tagged and one of us and a video of us kissing.... Idk what to do, pls help, Clay... I made big mistakes, I hurt him, but I want him back...

Hi clay, it’s been 5 months since the breakup at the start she said she needed time to focus on herself and her masters and I was everything she wanted but needed to get back to the person I met, I spoke to her a month ago and she as happy to hear from me and we were gunna meet up in a month, I spoke to her again a few days ago and she said she didn’t want to meet up with me and catch feeling and fall back into the same old patterns and that she’s happy being alone and trying to be her best self and that we’re over, I’m really struggling to come to terms with it and feel like all hope is lost

I mean did you still had a good conversation daily after breakup if yes then just give her the space becz i think you were always available...at times i think you need to let people see how they can be without you....and also you cant control some situation dont try being some superman let her get through it herself ,,dont force she wont be real ....let her get through it herself and when she is back i hope she will be than before,,,if net then nothing was meant to be....wish you lucky there..
Hi Tommy, there could be several reasons that the situation had happened. Remember that a person may also go through some good and tough times. We have to understand what they are going through, and this is where empathy and understanding would come in.
@@bravobravo673 No I didn’t speak to her for 5 weeks then I spoke to her and she said she still loved me but isn’t ready to see me, I said let’s take some more space about 2 months later I messaged her to see how she was doing we had a good conversation she seemed a lot warmer and I asked if she’d like to meet up when she’s back in our uni city, she said yeah, then fast forward another 6 weeks of space, and she’s happy being alone and trying to be the best version of herself, I asked her a few times to actually meet up and then she said she doesn’t want to and it won’t be good for her, I said okay I won’t ask you again but you know where I am if things change
@@ClayAndrews yeah I’ve shown nothing but empathy towards her this whole time, but she gets kinda cold and told me to have a nice life and that I’m and incredible person and whether I choose to be alone or find someone else she hopes I’m happy and she was lucky to have known me

Time passing for me, from his mostly no contact & 1 night stand & taking strong painkillers when he would Not take 1v mine wen we were 2gethr is not helping me. What’s the max amount of time for you to consider something a rebound relationship? My ex went out constantly after we broke up then asked his cousin a month and two weeks later how I was called me for a week I refused to speak to him then a few days later got into a new relationship and is constantly posting his relationship
Hi Alondra, the amount of time may not be the best way to qualify is a relationship is a rebound. But the best way to know is if your ex had moved on 100% from the past relationship and is emotionally available to be in a new relationship.

Could be verbally and emotionally abusive, and probably better if you move on altogether. No one should ever put up with abuse of any kind.

Been 2 months since he dumped me. Tried no contact but he text all the time. Text a mixture of easy and angry. He even drove 2 hours too bring Xmas present round and a romantic card. But he still brings up the break up and how he doesn’t want me, now he’s talking about other women that ask him out. Then sends photos of places we’ve been to. My ex bf broke up with me for another girl he was talking during our relationship and same as you just a month ago. Girl, i know its hurt and its hard but you need to do the "no contact rules" its effective and it takes time.
They cheated on us, and its a sign to let them go and know our worth. Yes, i am still struggling and still miss him but i need to be with someone who really value me.
We should know our worth, try to focus your on self erika and improve yourself as what i am doing now.

If she dumped you then the situation is out of your control, best focus on things that are within your control. Don't reach out and if she does, be polite, respectful and supportive but brief at the same time.

So my ex and I have been togeather for 22 years we are still married even though he says he wants to get a divorce. He moved out 10 months ago and we have 2 kids togeather a 20 year old and a 18 year old .we seen each other alot after the breakup at my sons soccer games we had good communication even traveled and stayed in the same bed and hotel room .after Christmas and the shared time at my sons soccer tournament which our interaction was great he pulled back and had a rebound relationship that lasted less than 2 months and I believe hes over now. He still has everything at our house but 1 suitcase of clothing which he took when he left even now that he moved into an apartment 3 weeks ago and out of his step moms house.I am using smart contact and I allow him to reach out to me .I am working hard on myself doing a great bible based class that helps with past hurts ,going to the gym and focusing on my growth. My quiestion is does this still sound like I have a good chance that he may want to work on things even after so much time?

They’ve hurt us too. I’m genuinely asking why it would make a difference?
If you want to get them back, then you care about them, right? If you care about them, and you know they're in pain, maybe you can do or say things to ease that pain. In the end, you avoid coming off as the immature vengeful ex and probably increase your chances of actually getting back together.
It's basically the old saying "two wrongs don't make a right". You don't make things better by being awful back to them. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you just let them walk all over you, either.

My ex is prideful so they are keeping me at distance. I’m transitioning out of damage mode, so I been minimizing my contact with them in order to not bombard them with text and calls.
