Thanks for this. I ended up not messing with the window bolt, referenced your video a few times, and was able to do it without losing my religion... much.
Dude that metal bracket was a bitch to get out. I'm glad you figured out how it sat on the handle. It was pissing me off. Thanks for the helpful video.
Thanks Man!! I didn't even see the window bracket bolt. Then popping the lock cylinder out was the biggest thing for me. Now I'm fighting the bracket back into the door.
Thanks for this. It helped. The window track is just attached with a little clip. Mine fell down. It'e easy to remove and put back. And that suggestion helps a lot. Otherwise, it's very difficult to do this.
P.S.A: take the one bolt out of the window track and slide the track over. i spent 2 hours fiddiling with it before i did this, and once i did, i was done within 30 minutes.
Thanks for the video. I agree with the previous comment. It became easy once I took the window track out. The bracket went right on. I was laughing at myself for initially trying to get that bracket without taking off the window track. :)
Great video. I also recommend first putting the steel bracket on the replacement handle like you did, just to get an idea of the close tolerances involved. It's a bit like threading a needle. I tried to install them together, from the outside, but they aren't designed to do that.
2 options. Try to remove the door panel but you would probably have to remove the seat that is next to it. Or surgically remove the outside handle by cutting it out in small pieces then you could get to the latch mechanism. If your outside handle is already broken I would choose this method. Thanks for watching! I tried for a few minutes to get the track to release with no success and moved on and left it alone. Thanks for the advice.

Now if I can just get my door open to perform this procedure. Any suggestions? Neither inside nor outside latch is actuating the unlock lever.
