Very “unconventional”...., but when you meet someone you click with, you latch on. It was very bumpy bc of us having children, but we’re still going strong and our love has grown into something beautiful. ❤️

We were both out by that New Year's, and three weeks later we were engaged. Knowing the challenges we'd have along the way, we took a year and a half to go through counseling and live together before we married - neither of us were previously married or had lived with anyone, and we each had had just one prior serious relationship. My current husband and I only met 3 times in person before we got engaged. He was in the military stationed in California and I was in Idaho. Spoke all the time online and on the phone too. I think sometimes it’s better that way. You are forced to get to know each other when it’s phone conversation. He drove 15 hours through the night to propose to me at 3 o’clock in the morning. We’ve been married 9 years this month and he’s my soulmate and very best friend. ❤️
It’s not always about the length of time that you’ve known someone, but the compatibility and willingness to stick through life’s challenges together. I too am from Idaho and after an emotionally draining relationship with my ex boyfriend (who incidentally is stationed in Moscow, Russia with the military) I decided to move to Texas all by myself and start a new life for myself. I’d never set foot in the state before moving, didn’t know a single soul and didn’t have a job lined up. In the course of 3 weeks, I had a temporary job that eventually landed me a permanent offer after my hard work paid off. Only a couple of months later I met a wonderful man and two months after that I was pregnant. I am typing this as my 5 month old is sleeping next to me and I happily wear an engagement ring. We did things backwards but we’re still so happy together❤️

Doesn’t sound rushed, I think people don’t understand what it’s like to fall out of love with someone. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but when the love isn’t there I see no point into putting life on hold until you’re legally separated. He was in Michigan also, and i was in Florida, He also drove down to Florida to be with me, and he was tired by the time he got there and i worked all day and rushed to get to the apartment i got and he was waiting for me there . Really cool to hear this because my fiancé and I also met online and fell in love over the phone for about two months before we actually met in person. After we went on our first real life date we moved in together and we’ve been together ever since. We have a daughter together and are finally getting married in October of this year after 7 years of being together. I think when it’s right for you it doesn’t matter how quick it happens. Oh my gosh, Maria, this is so adorable! I could see how giddy and in love with him you are. Your first time meeting makes me think of my first time meeting my boyfriend. We had been talking day in and day out for months as well, and finally decided to meet up. He drove 8+ hours to see me (from Boston to Toronto) and when he called to say he was 10 minutes away I froze. I've never had that much anxiety in my life but I was just paralyzed with nerves/excitement. I literally had to get my roommate to go to our apartment lobby to greet him. I remember sitting on my bed and hearing the front door open, then his voice. My heart starting to pound and then I worked up the courage to go see him. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen and I just wanted to run over and kiss him but I was a ball of nerves. He took the initiative and gave me a hug and we spent a beautiful weekend together. In just a few weeks we'll be celebrating 5 years together!

I found ASMR around 2012 and your videos were some of the first I listened to. When you watch someone for so long you start to feel weirdly invested in their personal stories. I remember around the time my best friend was going through major health issues, you were starting to open up on your blogging channel about how depressed and lonely you were feeling. That really resonated with me and I felt like, being in a bad place myself, I had a connection with what you were going through. It's been so amazing to see your mood lift through the years, to see you starting to heal from your previous marriage and to see you happier than I've ever seen you. Luckily my friend is no longer sick and things have gotten a lot better for me, and while this was happening on my end, you found an amazing guy in Daryl. Time really does heal everything.
This was so fun to watch! My fiance came over one weekend after dating for a few weeks and never left 😂. We've been together a year and 6 months now and it's so obvious we are so good for each other and very much in love! 😁 The transition was actually very smooth (and I was used to being alone and loved my space!) My fiance and I met on Craigslist when I posted an ad selling my Nintendo 64. We still have it in the house that we now share hahaha. I feel like the stigma of meeting people online is just totally gone now, it's a great tool.

My current husband and I only met 3 times in person before we got engaged. He was in the military stationed in California and I was in Idaho. Spoke all the time online and on the phone too. I think sometimes it’s better that way. You are forced to get to know each other when it’s phone conversation. He drove 15 hours through the night to propose to me at 3 o’clock in the morning. We’ve been married 9 years this month and he’s my soulmate and very best friend. ❤️

I too am from Idaho and after an emotionally draining relationship with my ex boyfriend (who incidentally is stationed in Moscow, Russia with the military) I decided to move to Texas all by myself and start a new life for myself. I’d never set foot in the state before moving, didn’t know a single soul and didn’t have a job lined up. In the course of 3 weeks, I had a temporary job that eventually landed me a permanent offer after my hard work paid off. Only a couple of months later I met a wonderful man and two months after that I was pregnant. I am typing this as my 5 month old is sleeping next to me and I happily wear an engagement ring. We did things backwards but we’re still so happy together❤️

I met my guy on a poker app, he was in cali I'm in NY. I'm still married to my abusive soon to be ex husband (filing next week) but we were separated and definitely done when me and my fiance met. I have had 2 children with my fiance and i couldn't be happier. We didn't meet until the day he actually moved here we did the LDR for 9 months he moved here 3 1/2 years ago. He was in Michigan also, and i was in Florida, He also drove down to Florida to be with me, and he was tired by the time he got there and i worked all day and rushed to get to the apartment i got and he was waiting for me there . I was going through a rough time in my marriage and soon he came to live with me when i moved out and I got my divorce in April also and he was divorced already . The rest is blissful history :). Really cool to hear this because my fiancé and I also met online and fell in love over the phone for about two months before we actually met in person. After we went on our first real life date we moved in together and we’ve been together ever since. We have a daughter together and are finally getting married in October of this year after 7 years of being together. I think when it’s right for you it doesn’t matter how quick it happens. Oh my gosh, Maria, this is so adorable! I could see how giddy and in love with him you are. Your first time meeting makes me think of my first time meeting my boyfriend. We had been talking day in and day out for months as well, and finally decided to meet up. He drove 8+ hours to see me (from Boston to Toronto) and when he called to say he was 10 minutes away I froze. I've never had that much anxiety in my life but I was just paralyzed with nerves/excitement. I literally had to get my roommate to go to our apartment lobby to greet him. I remember sitting on my bed and hearing the front door open, then his voice. My heart starting to pound and then I worked up the courage to go see him. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen and I just wanted to run over and kiss him but I was a ball of nerves. He took the initiative and gave me a hug and we spent a beautiful weekend together. In just a few weeks we'll be celebrating 5 years together!

Where is that? It's so beautiful. I can totally relate to you when you said all of your pain was during the marriage, and that you moved on from your marriage while you were still married. I'm separated from my husband now and about to file for divorce, so I feel the exact same way. This almost 3-year marriage has been the most depressing and painful time of my life. I feel so much happier now that he's not a part of my days. This video gives me hope that someday I will find that one for me.

I found ASMR around 2012 and your videos were some of the first I listened to. When you watch someone for so long you start to feel weirdly invested in their personal stories. I remember around the time my best friend was going through major health issues, you were starting to open up on your blogging channel about how depressed and lonely you were feeling. That really resonated with me and I felt like, being in a bad place myself, I had a connection with what you were going through. It's been so amazing to see your mood lift through the years, to see you starting to heal from your previous marriage and to see you happier than I've ever seen you. Luckily my friend is no longer sick and things have gotten a lot better for me, and while this was happening on my end, you found an amazing guy in Daryl. Time really does heal everything.
