When I searched the walking dead yesterday. It brought up the show. When I selected it, it gave a list of seasons 1 through to 10. Then I could select each season and see a list of episodes.
Today, I search walking dead and it doesnt do any of that. Instead when I search the walking dead, I only get the option for recordings (which has the episodes I ready watched.) And on this week and more like this.
I'm confused, please help.

I totally agree with everything you said about Sky Q. I don’t think there’s any other service out there that even comes close but Sky are just so god damn expensive. I was shelling out around £1500 a year for TV, Phone and B.B. waaaaaayyyyyy too costly so had to get rid. I now use a Humax Freesat box (same one you have reviewed) and I absolutely love it. I can live pause, series link, control it from my iPhone or iPad and receive a lot of free channels. All in all I’m well satisfied with my new setup and I’m quids in. Best decision I’ve made so much so I don’t think I’ll ever go back to Sky.
i agree the price is way high, i've found if you don't mind being in contract all the time phone them up and re new all the time for new deals i had q and swapped to stream and it was £20 cheaper for everything cinema, sports, bt sport, netflix, etc, but then i ended up switching back to q and they did a huge discount, if i had everything on stream it was about £101 a month but the huge deal they did me on q i got everything for £56 a month for the exact same, u have to keep phoning them up and re newing for the deals and go on and on at them and get it cheap luckily ive been lucky atm
I left sky years ago went to virgin v6 yes it’s ok but going back to sky after seeing your review in January 2019 as Q looks great and fed up of the constant price increases with virgin.

I have just cancelled my virgun due to constant price increases. I only had their broadband package, the vivid 200 but my service was crap my mobile 4g was more reliable. So I am currently awaiting installation of my sky q box and broadband
Laughable. Sky write to me every other month with a “slight” cost increase. So not just virgin. Sky are constantly changing their end of the contract, but you try and leave.
I totally agree was with sky but wanted a change to virgin media prices are an absolute sham been looking since Nov to change back and as it had been 12 months since I left sky the gave me a fab deal with Sky Q which I'm having installed this Friday I love technical things and can't wait to get it installed x

I'm getting SkyQ installed on Saturday, but need to get a new tv for the bedroom now, as that one has been fed via a coax and has no hdmi, been using the sky+ app on my mobile to change channels. Had offer for the 2tb SkyQ and the Sky Q mini £50 installation

I'm considering ordering Sky Q, but I see on some forums that it talks about the SD and HD picture on the Q box not looking as good as on the HD+ box. Is that your experience?

If youve had a Sky+ box with 2 coax cables, will that dish and cable setup suffice for SkyQ or will they need to install all new equipment?
Is the broadband functionality of SkyQ wifi or does the box need ethernet?
They should install an new LNB on your dish. I think one box needs ethernet.
We have sky boxes from 2009. Thinking about Sky Q but not fully understanding it so came here. - I'm conserned that it uses your internet connection. We only get about 30GB download speed. And I will be watching 1080p Twitch streams, Playing online games + Watching HD sports channels on Sky in multiple rooms. All at the same time. So I think this would just cause everything to buffer if we switched without upgrading our internet. Not even sure if it's possible where I live.
It uses your dish for regular viewing and broadband for any streaming or catch up viewing.
Can you transfer existing Sky recordings to new SkyQ box or do you have to re-record everything?
You would have to re-record it all.
What has happened to the uhd movies to rent section in the sky store as it has disappeared?
It does seem to have been removed.

Will sky Q work with the normal Sky dish because ive got a sky+HD and I use the normal dish for normal sky and i was wondering will Sky Q get Freeview channel
Sorry I am not sure on this.
Sky Q is a different system to Sky+HD. As the boxes are owned by Sky, you can't actually use them for freeview like Sky+HD usually does

Your right! sky Q is just great I love it, we have had lots of problem with the internet but all good fingers crossed 🤞 I have been looking to see if we can hind sky Q box and wires, we have Sky Q and two mini box’s and was looking to see if The boxes could be hidden away with the wires if possible? How do you set reminders on this new layout?
They are not available.
If the box had an RF output so you can watch in other rooms for FREE, or the old, 'reminder' function for a show, yes, I could get excited, otherwise, cr*p...

I have an old tv that isn't hd - any way I can watch sky q on it?
I am not 100% sure but if it had HDMI it should work.
Why is there no Planner with Sky Q? I asked the lady who installed ours and she just said "There isn't one on Sky Q". But apparently there is....hidden and usable if you fiddle about endlessly with Settings. If we're having a quiet night in watching telly we like to be able to Plan what we're gonna be watching. And yeah.....I've recorded stuff.....but it's not the same. We miss the Planner

I not had Sky since I left in the early 2000s. I now have BT TV with Youview as well as Netflix and as of 10 days ago got Amazon Prime. So I got all I need from thoughs servives and don't need to go back to Sky. Even though Sky Q dose seem ahead of Youview in the terms of tech.

I like the idea that if one service goes down the other one kicks in so you can still watch programs, with my cable service we do not have that. Do you pay extra for the smaller box so you can continue watching in another room?
Yes, the extra box costs a little more.
Darren Gator I believe their multi screen price is £12 extra a month for up to so many devices - one extra box has an upfront fee of £20, and if your require 2, your second box costs £99 upfront fee

Hi , is there a way to change font size on sky q? I went to accessibility but only contrast appears but no font option? When you press select for any channel you get the description of the channel but want to change the font size to see it bigger etc. Thankyou

Does the sky q 2TB box make a clicking noise? I’m getting bit installed next week. My cousin has one and when there is a scene on the tv where it’s quiet or even when the tv and/or sky q box is on standby, you can clearly hear a clicking noise, even from sitting at a distance?
No clicking on mine but you can hear the hard drive whirring away when recording.

I hate sky Q, it’s so backwards. You have to press the down arrow to go UP on the channels. Also the favourite button which was usually the blue button, now you have to press 20 options to get to your favourites (I’m exaggerating a bit but still...). I prefer sky HD+ or whatever it’s called - one downgrade from sky Q. I hate sky Q with passion, it’s too interactivity and has so many navigation options. I miss it’s simplicity with the old sky boxes.

I find it horrendous! I’ve had two engineers out since the installation and have major issues with both boxes I’ve got another engineer coming Monday but I’ve had boxes dish replaced all cables replaced boosters Ethernet cables done everything possible so I am going to try and get them to revert me back to +HD Been a sky customer on and off for years but since upgrading to Q had the worst experience ever and not got a Penny back for it!

I don’t think there is reminders anymore.
Repeatedly having trouble with Sky Q losing connection or freezing. Sadly having my 6th visit from Techies Wednesday but wandering if you have had this problem. On the positive side Sky broadband compared to Virgin has bn a big boost. But so far Sky Q vs. Sky HD has bn like upgrading a PC to a Typewriter 🤔

so do i get this right, SKY Q is basically like live TV, they just broadcast movies and what not non stop, and i just tune in when i want, unlike Streaming, i cant just decide to watch the movie from the start or skip ahead and back?
Correct, but you can also record programmes and movies, plus watch broadcast programmes too.
Love my sky Q box two terabit where I had a big problem is with the mini box in my boys room the times I had to keep rebooting it was driving me mad. But I’m one that likes to sort things out if possible And the short of it was my Samsung Q TV, as most know it as a separate tuning box which is brilliant, but where the problem was it was sit on top of the SkyQ box I have now move it away from the SkyQ box about two Months ago and mini box been running ok since

When I had a mini box put in my bedroom it wasn't connecting to the main skyQ box so the sky man put in a booster in one of the other bedroom. Now it's works fine
Got mine today. Only problem is my screen has gone bigger and I'm not sure how to get it back so it all fits again? Any answers? Is there a way using the q remote?

Hi David, I have this issue sometimes on my Sony TV. Just an idea, but if there are any settings->app->clear cache options, it might be worth trying (at your own risk).

How can you search for somthing you missed on catch up? The whole list comes up from A-Z, i just want to type and search?
As you type in the search it should narrow down the results.
I love my Sky Q, had it from day one, my only issue is the IOS app that doesnt give you the option of favourite channels like you get on the main box......one day!!
That would be a handy feature.

How do I set to record programmes in the future? For example I want to set to record the England game tomorrow and had to go to TV guide then slide across through all of todays programmes and tomorrows until I found the particular game then set it to record. I just think there must be an easier way, can anyone assist me?
The way you describe is the easiest way. When in the TV guide you can go forward 24 hours using the fast forward button.

At he moment I have Sky+. I use the RF out 2 to feed a distribution box which enables me to watch Sky Tv on all the tv's in my house through a coax cable. We have to watch the same thing. If I went over to sky Q, is this still possible or would I need to get the mini boxes for each tv? Many Thanks

You did not mention that with Sky Q there IS NOT a reminder function with this set up. 100s of sky watchers are missing this function with Sky Q.

You can set up recording from the additional box, but everything is stored on the main box.

I’ve been with Talk Talk for 10 years and my contract is ending shortly and am seriously considering changing to Sky for TV, broadband and Sky Q.

Yes, I love mine.
I have been with TalkTalk since 2014 and am getting Sky Q installed today. Talk Talk service has gone downhill particularly BB speed and price has gone up to the point where i have managed to get a deal with Sky Fibre, Sky Q with Standard package plus kids channels for pretty much the same monthly price in Black Friday deal locked in for 18 months. Hopefully it will all go well!

I have skyQ and 2 mini boxes for over a year now. I think it's fantastic I have had no problems with it yet, I love it cause I can start watching a film on my main tv then stop it and finish it of in another room. I would be with it now I'm a sky VIP

I do have one question with regards to search will it search title/actor in Netflix (If subscribe of course) like virgins tivo dose?.
I am sorry, I have not tested that, as I use the Netflix built into my TV.
I use Virgin Media. They recently upgraded my box to a smaller one and everything is quicker, like getting to UA-cam - through the YT channel (198), and the remote controller can be pointed anywhere in the room to operate the box. Sadly where I'm moving Virgin has no coverage so I might have to consider using Sky.

Yes this package did, but VIP is invite only.

Got a sky engineer coming out tomorrow may go back to the sky +hd box. I find the hd not every good on the sky q something not right, the box keep cutting out to black screen and remote not working
I had Sky Q installed with a box in the living room (with a card) & one upstairs in bedroom (without card) and I keep losing a connection which is annoying because I gave up a perfectly good sky+ box with card to run off a temperamental WiFi

I am sitting getting used to! After leaving talktalk cause they kept cutting my broadband of every month the same day and I am getting the lot with the broadband and tv and the sky engineer pair the sky q remote with my tv very helpful guy

I’m currently on virgins v6 box in which is a lot better than the first gen tivo but am now feeling I want more 4K content and hd channels which virgin don’t really have (Just 4K Netflix/UA-cam and bt sport 4K from 30.july.18) plus now that the UKTV channels like Dave/gold have gone due to well basically money I’m now feeling more conned as the days go by.
I agree, shame they changed their channel line up so much.
Virgin does not cover my town or much of Essex.

Must have a different sky q product to me. So many opportunities missed to push on from sky plus have been missed it’s become such a disappointment.

Sky Q's brilliant but not that reliable because unfortunately mine crashed within a few weeks of installation, and I'm now waiting for an engineer to either replace or repair it?

It annoys me that’s there’s no ‘back up’ button and that you cant just hit ‘Sky’ and it takes you back to what channel you were watching. Taking me a while to get used to this new Sky Q layout and remote control

Sky VIP is what sky calls you it you have been a with them for 20+ years I'm a VIP diamond. I get free gift ever so often mainly buy and keep dvd

Hi i'm looking for advice really I'm not a big fan of sky i have used them in the past but these days most of the programs you can find online that sky broadcasts so it really does not float my boat getting steamed out of anything up to 50 pounds a month for a load of channels i don't really watch Now as much as sky hates it there is a second hand market for sky Q boxes already, what i would like to know if you had a sky Q box with no subscription would it still have like the old Sky + Hd 1 tb boxes did the ability to watch BBC ITV Channel 4 Channel 5 etc for free with a old sky card in the slot
The value I find is in ease of use. No searching, but even when I do search it's by voice. The UI is nice and the ability to watch in one room, then continue in another or on the iPad is awesome.

No issues for me.
While sky Q looks pretty nice from the outside, the price they charge to have it installed is frankly shocking!,
I called their sales today to make enquiries about moving from Virgin tv to Sky Q - they wanted just under £185 one off fees just for the boxes, that’s before your chosen package - absolute rip off, even worse considering your only renting the boxes from them!
Say what you want about Virgin, I payed £40 to have my services installed in 2010, and have not payed any upfront costs since, even when we asked for their v6 boxes which I have in the lounge and for multiroom,
I guess this is the reality of a company like sky, which has the Monopoly, absolutely no Incentive to give potential customers any offers. The guy I spoke to on the phone today was nice enough, but didn’t seem interested in giving any other prices than the ones stated!

They bent over backwards for me to be fair. I'm coming from Virginmedia. I got a 2tb box and 1 mini box for £40 installed. £50 a month for full package apart from the movies. They even offered to install a phone line for free to take up their internet. They do get criticism but credit where credit is due.
