You make this look so easy 😂 I'm very new to factorio, my mate at work calls it cractorio because it's so addictive, he convinced me to get it but I don't have a PC so I'm playing it on my Nintendo switch. I thought it would be a great game for my ADHD brain but it's proving very difficult for me to wrap my head around it all. I literally couldn't even pass the 4th level of the tutorial 🤦
I've got it both on PC and the Switch but I prefer to play it on the switch b/c it's silent, and unlike the PC, the Switch doesn't emite a lot of heat. My answer might seem a little odd for some but my PC is close to me and you can feel the heat when turned on.
Fantastic! I just finished your entire previous factorio playthrough last week and it prompted me to start it up again with a new confidence in being able to figure out fluids, another run through is perfect!
You don't actually need one of every science per second. As research scales, singular packs of science take longer to process, so it really is only an end-game/mega base requirement.
Super excited to see another Factorio series, Nathan. I wonder, when you are ready to do another one, whether you would try the “Ribbon World” scenario. I’ve done it myself and really enjoyed the way it forced me to change my approach. Given that you are a much more skilled Factorio player, I’d really like to see how you handle it.
Learned plethora of new stuff and features from this video and all of this just under 8 minutes. Now I am excited to put them to use but before that I must do work. :D
Would love to see a video on the mods that you use, especially non-game-breaking/utility ones! Loved your previous megabase series, but am really looking forward to this slower series as I am pretty new to factorio (less than 40 hours).
Using logistic wires early lets me build a cool sushi belt mall that uses a counter that places items on the belt when an assembler picks things up. That lets me pack 44 assemblers into a small area, and it all works like a charm. I've seen the same mall built over and over again, so I wanted to do something different. 😁
I'm starting this series on factorio, rare to see youtubers still doing lets play factorio in 2021, thank you Nathan and I think I'm going to enjoy myself here! +1 subscriber
I only just started playing this game. And over the last 2 days, i've been trying to figure out how to make stuff work myself, and i think i've been doing pretty good. But after watching this i must say i have lost a bit of confidence. But are 100% looking foreword to keep playing. Keep up the good work!
I managed to get decent main bus with all needed base materials and a line of red/green science in about 2 hours of play, but no matter how well I think I'm doing I see super clean and obvious designs like in the video. But of course I'm too far in to redesign anything so I either restart with better knowledge or keep going with what I got. Either way I'm never satisfied.
Ive watched this series before and I am caught up, but ive decided to start over so I can follow along. TIL: I can have 4 stacks on my inv bar, which gives a way better experience with all the items in the game
Would love to see this done from scratch with the new space age. Even if a lot carries from what used to be, it changed enough. To say nothing of the new planets.
Following along, using these setups to learn the game, but... Those copper plates at 18:58 aren't needed are they? The Inserters don't use copper. At any rate, just left it out of my build.
Great new series! :) I prefer slow paced, long running walkthroughs over heavily sped up ones (especially since I enjoy Factorio's early game more than the later mega basing), so I'm really looking forward to this one!
Yeah sorry, even distribution. That's strange that it crashed it, it's usually a really stable mod. It's not a must have, it's just incredibly nice to have early game.
Sorry for my bad English. So the Google translator has to help me… I like your channel, specially Factorio, because I also play it. I have learned a lot from you. So finally I have an idea for your next Season. Do you ever chance at the beginning the „Research factor“? So that all researches need a lot more from the beverages? Then you really build a Megabase. In my third attempt I actually play with research factor 50. but because I‘m relative new to play the game, I don‘t use any MOD… Here on UA-cam you Even can find a gameplay with the, I think it‘s the Maximum adjustable level, research factor 1000! I tell you, this is fascinating to watch!!!
@@Nathans-Sandbox I would love to see, how you solve this!!! The other factor1000 player also use the planner. It was impressive, when you need hundreds of machines for the next building step… but he don‘t play so perfectly balanced like you….
It's from the game, you use ctr-c and -v like in a word document. And if you're looking for the blueprints book that was b if I remember correctly. Don't forget that you have to have a rocket launcher in at least one game before you get access to some of these tools.
I've only been doing tutorial so far, i find it hard to pick up on the base design they set up, looks so much nicer starting from scratch. I think I am nearly on the tutorial though so I'll make myself finish that first.
I have everything relevant in the description. If I were you I would also check out my new Factorio series (step by step to megabase), if you only have time to watch one series that is;)
I've only really watched xterminator and nilaus factorio videos, so I'm in new waters here. Any reason you use rate calculator instead of max rate calculator? Before choosing I tried looking up which one I should go for, but couldn't really tell a difference other than UI, so I went with the most downloaded one (max rate calculator). You chose the other one, what was the reason? Do you know both?
could you give us some info about the megabse? I mean like current playtime, electricty production and consumption and most produced materials during the whole game? Would really like to see some stats of the megabase :D
Factorio hurts my brain a bit but it always seemed interesting so I wanted to try and get into it. The fact that I'm already starting to get lost ep 1 is not a good sign lmao

The tutorial is completely useless

Dude!!! I have been playing for about a year and have found myself struggling with setups, seeing this is such a great eye opener. Thank you
Love the content. Can't wait to see what this playthrough will end with!
Thanks, also looking forward to how the base will develop!
New series hype!
:)
Fantastic! I just finished your entire previous factorio playthrough last week and it prompted me to start it up again with a new confidence in being able to figure out fluids, another run through is perfect!
This one will also be much more detailed. Used the last series to learn more about the game to be prepared for this.
Recently I started to play Factorio and found out your video. I really enjoy watching your seriese! Keep it up! your play helps me a lot.
Good to know!
You don't actually need one of every science per second. As research scales, singular packs of science take longer to process, so it really is only an end-game/mega base requirement.
Yes please want to see more of this series, can’t wait!
That's good, more to come!:)
Great, looking forward to this series!

Great!;)
This was super helpful as I just started playing Factorio! Thank you so much great vids!
Glad I was able to help, have fun with the game!

I was enjoying watching, but the moment at 20:47 is why I subscribed, lol
Hehe, there will be more moments of realizing mistakes:P
Looking forward to this series! Would love to see your version of a mall if you get a chance
We'll definitely have one of those!

That is a great idea, do you have a sceenshot of that?
Looking forward to the rest of the series! Love your factorio content
More to come! Thanks:)
Yay! Watched the first series fully
Thanks for watching and commenting, really appreciated:)

I'd recommend you my latest Factorio series, much better than this one imo. You can enable the 4 bars in the settings.;)
@@Nathans-Sandbox okay!
I mean, you should probably know by now I'm enjoying the heck out of every factorio series you release, Nathan. Great job on the video as usual
😘
thankyou very much, very enjoyable and helpful with this slow type of gameplay, gonna looking foward to the next episodes
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it!

Yeet, so excited for a new Factorio playthrough! One qol mode I can't recommend enough is enough distribution.

cool of you to still be replying to comments, im enjoying the video so far and looking forward to the rest of the series :>
Thanks for watching;)
oh sheeeet, here we go again!
Heck yeah!
21:22 - you will need to remove the extra gear wheels from the belt feeding the red science assemblers
I did that after the recording, noticed it then, thanks;)
20:36 Thanks for making me laugh ;)
I just started playing this game. I hate how neatly arranged his base is compared to mine. 😂
This just made me realize how little I know about the game
Nice guide man, dig it!
Bring on the blueprints, you magnificent bastard. Love your videos. :)

Why You don't use matrix mode in factory planner?
I haven't looked into that yet because the recipes are very simple so far.

Maybe you'll join a few episodes in when we are somewhere;)
Sure, will be Here, as Always...

Very "unique" way of smelting for copper and Iron. But I do like your compressed starter science, interested to see this series.
