Played by: Ravenlord
April ONeil, the reporter friend of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is kidnapped by the villainous Shredder and his two goons, Bebop and Rocksteady. The four ninja turtles: Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello and Leonardo fight their way through hordes of Foot Soldiers in order to rescue April. They battle familiar foes such as the mad scientist Baxter Stockman, General Traag from Dimension X and the evil alien brain Krang, up to the final showdown with Shredder himself.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game is a port of the popular arcade game made by Konami during the height of the cartoon series popularity. Depending on the version of the game, up to two, three or four players can take part in the action. The game plays like a simplified Double Dragon. While most of the standard Foot Soldier enemies are easily dispatched, some attack with knives or ray guns and are thus more dangerous. At the end of each level, players encounter a boss (or in certain cases two bosses working in tandem, such as Bebop and Rocksteady).
The NES version of the game features additional content not present in other versions of the game: two new levels (Snowy Central Park and The Dojo), new bosses (including Tora, Shogun and Baxter Stockman as a fly), additional music tracks as well as more variations of Foot Soldiers. -

I love how when you stand still, the Turtle looks at you as if to say "Hey....... you there? Let's go!" LOL
I remember for this game since I was a child.
Great graphics, great music -- ESPECIALLY for good ole Nintendo. Awesome job.
+HowlingMoonCinemas 8 bits of POWER
Pretty impressive for an 8 bit game. Love that 8 bit NES music!
?..
I've been regularly whistling Scene 4's music since I played this game, decades ago. It took me a while to finally figure out which game it was in! Thanks for the video WoL!
Krang and Shredder themes are so awesome.
This Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game for the NES, from 1990, is a port of the 1989 arcade game, based on the 1st animated series than began 2 years earlier, which itself was based on the comic book characters created by Peter Eastern and Kevin Laird, off of CBS in the early 90's, being released during the show's 4th season (1990-91).
Scene 3 is my tav ost in game a classic loved this game
8 bits age washey the beginning of the best years of my life and they kept getting better till the end of the 16 bits. I was so luck living my childhood in 80's and 90's.
This makes me feel better every time I hear it. Anxiety from 11 to 3.
What the hell was I doing at 7 years old right I’m doing so wrong now. Weak... weak...
This game is the Dark Souls of NES. Playing this game at 8 years of age at 1 player is the best way to say "I want to get my ass kicked" 😂
The third game on the NES is a bit harder, and also a bit longer, and overall the best Turtles game on the NES.
@@Bloodreign1 no, no this was the best turtles game on NES, trust me.
Nothing beats you and a buddy kicking the crap out of Foot Soldiers over cokes and Ruffles.
another best retro games of my youngest
Totally fun game! They did an excellent job! I never beat the original arcade version when I was a kid. Never had enough quarters or tokens. Thanks to MAME, quarters & tokens are no longer a problem. Same thing with the Superman arcade game.
Some pretty good music on this game!!! Also EXPLOSIONS!!!!
Best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game of Nintendo history of all time! Go Green Machine!
31:50 is the best level! I remember looking forward to this so much when I was a kid.
I think this is the best game of TMNT on NES!
1:00:15 Krang music so catchy
I didn’t get to play the actual arcade game much, but I loved watching other people play it when I could.
Then one day at Sears they had an NES hooked up to a big screen tv with this game demoing in it. I got to play it for about 5 minutes before my parents told me it was time to go, but. It before showing them the game.
I got this game that next Christmas and I played it until my eyeballs fell out! Lol.
I still love this game and will play it over the arcade version any day. Thanks for the nostalgia!
No, thank YOU.
The Cowabunga Collection arrives August 30
This game was awesome. Not sure why some people didn't like it. Just cause its no 100% faithful in the graphical department it doesn't mean its a bad version. Heck it was a lot of fun, plus the two extra levels was just a cool bonus.
The attacks on a foot soldier is the only thing that disappointed me about this game when I first got it. They had a small window of invincibility after you landed an attack, so this game became less of a beat em up and more of a special move spam fest.
This game brings back memories, this was the 1st game my brother & I bought together.
I had a $20, he had $20, games were so cheaper then.
I never understood the need for the drill car to reach the apartment from that high up floor in the building. Man, do I miss the 90's.
+chuckobscure And the exposure went on into the 90's. What's your point.
Is it tearing you up this much to prove you were right on something completely superfluous? Does it hurt?
+LordServbot What I don't understand is the fact that April is just standing there in her apartment, making scared gestures, when the freaking building is on fire.
RIGHT?!
+chuckobscure TMNT II came out in 1990 for the NES and this is an NES longplay. Move along please.
Raven technically affraid from the robo-dogs at 13:50 because some of them chewed His hand early-
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i love playing this game
That is so brilliant that Ravenlord has beaten Rocksteady & Beabop while being so close to loosing his life. It's a limit of the nerves in game process
A wonder how far hacks can go.
I said it.
I see you.
You can see the influence on later Konami games from this title. For example Baxter Stockman in fly mode behaves very similar to the first boss in Turtles in time, Stage 6 (defeating the enemy's ninja magic) looks similar to shredder's hideout from TMNT Hyperstone (Genesis) and the samurai boss in this level is very similar to the boss from Simpsons arcade.
I like the product placement for Pizza Hut, lol.
Once you master the jump/slash & jumpkick, this game is a breeze!! If you look closely at some of the bosses patterns, they are not that difficult.
Their the same Stories, on Video Game!
wow that shredder battle was epic!!
we used to spend money on this game back when we didn't have nes at home
this damn game always ate up my quarters!!
Someone charged you quarters to play NES?
@@MrSerpico145 he's talking about the arcade version
эх.....ностальгия....
Don’t make Shredder harder than he is by attacking the fake one when you knock it’s helmet off!!! Just attack the real one when the fake one steps away.
I think if kanami had created this title it would probably be close to arcade perfect. As proof look how the third TMNT game came out.
at 26:32. at least, Leo got April safe and sound.
ชอบครับ
Great Game!
Wish the arcade game had the extra 2 levels and the Baxter stockman fly battle

5:05 I still say that looks like Shredder is flipping the Turtles the bird.
31:50 this is the best part in the game
i love the teenage mutant ninja turtles
The game is was and still so fun to beat TMNT 2 rocks!! the one thing I always found funny about this game all years is that at Stage 7 at the beginning the message says " We Gotta Find The TechnoDrone!!" but as anyone can see you already there and inside fighting! lol! oh well good game nonetheless! :-P
Stupid Irate Gamer hates this game, because it is not as pretty as his wet dream, the Arcade version. So what? It is still a fun game! And the two extra levels were great!
But according to him, graphics are the most Important part of every game.
And we all know that graphics don't make the damn game. Batman Forever for the Super NES and Sega Genesis being a prime example of that lesson.
if you can't understand that a 8-bit system can not play 16-bit graphics, then you can not call yourself a gamer.........ever.
The guy is not a very smart person. This is my favorite NES game.
the guy isn't not a very smart person. chris bores is just plain stupid.
And why do we care what he has to say. LOL
1:07:27
Quite possibly the mot entertaining Pizza Hut ad there is.
The samurai with the detachable head seemed like the hardest boss.
+Big Head You mean Shredder...?
pxit212
Not Shredder, there's literally a samurai who throws his head. Second last boss I think.
+Big Head Oh you mean Shogun 49:27! Personally I think Krang was pretty tough.
+pxit212 Shogun and Krang were a bitch.
to me he not hard when get use to it
Hard but yet, fun game.
Turtle power
heh i was a kid playing this. :)
Thank you ninjanickj
Great game with practice and patience I was able to defeat
Why does this look so familiar to Manhattan project?
I hope Pizza Hut gave them the rights to display their name in the game. I'm sure they did :) Neat visual though. Ahem.... 69 points before defeating the Stage 1 boss, it's the same every time, I wonder if that was planned. You JUST saved your life in the Shogun level, one bar of health left, sure enough, there's the Pizza !
Love it BUT why are the double taps not draining health? And, i don't remember new levels giving fresh health bars.
Dude. The original game was way more challenging.
But this is mad fun to watch 😁.
TTREOLMTTPOEEO😢🎉❤❤❤😂🎉😮😅😂❤😂🎉🎉😢😢😮😢😂❤😂🎉😢😢😢😢🎉🎉😂❤😂😅😢😂😂🎉😮😅
HAAAAACKK.
CHEATER, CHEATER, SHREDDER NUDDER EATTER!
at the end of the teenage mutant ninja turtles 2 arcade game you would have to fight all 8 shredders but when i played the game i beat all 8 shredders but it should had the enemies talk like the arcade version of it no matter the game rocks i've beaten Rocksteady, bebop, the polar bear in the snow level, i've also beaten Baxter Stockmen as a human and fly, general Grator the blue stone worrior, shogun, general Tragg, Krang and the Shredder that's all the guys that i beat i use Ralpheal as my turtle
You can only fight 2 shredders. When first shredder drops his helmet only you can do is attact second.
Yeah

The Same Stories, called Video Games, are silly Enemies, that die! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Cartoons 80s, and 1992!
Only thing I don't like about this game is how cheap the final boss is, you could be having a great run with 5 lives in reserve and then BAM he demutates you out of no where a few times and all that skill meant nothing.
1:10:42 NARTOOHHH 😯😯😯
I retract my statement.
Who's that blues stone warrior
His name is granitor if I recall correctly.
Loveyoujen frommiketojen
❤
first scene I think it was Rextedy)
+Роман Опытный ur yellow shirt reminds me of April O Neill, no offense.
Is it me, or was the NES version waaaaaaaay harder than the arcade?
Yeah, each stage was doubled and foot soldiers had that invincibility moment right after you landed a single blow. Spamming the special move was the only way to go.
The best ninja turtles gae on nes !!
game

This game is impossible I've played this game a couple of time and I've rage quit
JohnACorp782 maybe one day I will
You need to quickly kill foot soldiers (and most enemies) with the A+B moves to reduce the beating you receive and practice the kicking jumping attack timing on the bosses. The final boss (Shredder) can be tricky if you don't know his secret (you need to leave his clone alone when he loses the helmet). Also, you can farm lives on the sewer level boss because he span infinite mousers and he's pathetically easy (1 life per 200 kills if I remember correctly). If you find this too tedious. there's a code for extra lives. There's also a stage select code if you need to practice later stages without doing the first stages too much. Once you know what you are doing, you can even play a 2 player game, kill off the 2nd player at the start and beat the game with the extra life or 2 the extra number of enemies will give you (most lost lives are due to bosses, hazards and poor management of pizzas, not the basic enemies).
Flying V If you find this game impossible then don't play the first and the third ones.
I will say this is impossible if you don’t use a classic nes or similar controller. I tried this on an emulator using a keyboard and the a b combo attack only works about a third of the time, meaning you just take hits left and right from even from basic enemies, so yeah, good luck with that setup
Я из России. Рекс это из другого сериала)
lol this looks alot worse then the 1989 on XBOX LIVE ARCADE.
No Kidd'n, great deduction Ace.
+luuwatGAMING that's because it's running on NES 8bit hardware, genius.
But come at me 😝.
