For everyone wanting to do this! 2 ropes 6ft long 16 ropes 5ft long 6 ropes 16ft long 12 ropes 18ft long 36 ropes 15in long So a total of 449ft and roughly 150yards I'm so sad because the rope I bought is only 109 yards 😭😭😭 so I wanted to pass on this information so hopefully other people won't make the same mistake!
@@EmilyFaith no problem! I love how you did this macrame and explained everything so well in the video! You definitely inspired me to try and make my own ❤️
Hi Emily! Absolutely love this wall hanging piece and thank you for listing out the required length for the ropes. May I know what's the measurement of the drift wood do we need? Thanks! :-)
I got back into macrame within the last year - after a 40 year hiatus! I just finished this wall hanging today and I love it. Macrame has come a long way and I appreciate people like you who are sharing ideas and patterns. Thank you so much!
First off - you are adorable! Second - I love your tutorials b/c of how easy they are to follow. I've been looking to do a larger piece for above my bed and I think I just found it! Thank you!!
I’ve seen so many photos of designs similar to this one and LOVE it, but never found a tutorial to make it!!! I’m so excited to try this out, because it is so intricate and beautiful!! Thanks for always having the most creative designs and for helping others make beautiful pieces of art too! ❤️
This is AHHMAAAZING! I SO appreciate your detailed instruction, you are BY FAR the most helpful channel I have found, and I love all of your content! Please please PLEASE keep them coming, (especially macrame and/or macraweave!) I just moved into my new home, got all of my materials ready to go, and I cannot wait to start this! 🤞🏼🙌🏼Thank you so much! 🙏🏼 XO✌🏼💜
I am so disappointed in purchasing rope on Amazon to find out that it is not the diameter is says it is. I made this once and it ended up almost half the size and the rope I used "said" it was 5 mm. I have now ordered some cotton rope from ropeshop.ca. Thank you Emily for mentioning where you get your rope. I can't wait to make this again. I did sell the first one, but hoping this one will be the thickness and size for over my bed. Love your macrame vids and your life stories. You are very sweet. Blessings.
Oh wow Emily, this is just gorgeous. I am a beginner and have just finished one of your tutorials. I am waiting on a bunch of natural as well as colored cord to really jump in. I am so excited. This is such a meditative luxury for me. Thanks for your efforts. Peace and love xo
Hi! What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL piece....🙌🏻🌟I just want to slip it over my head and wear it😍 You are a great teacher...thankful to have found your channel and thank you for sharing😊k
Love your enthusiasm, and the variety of macrame tutorials available on your site. I have attempted and had success with a couple of your projects to date and look forward to doing this one. Keep your tutorials coming Emily!
Last night was my first time trying macrame. I followed your video and had it done in a couple hours! With your simple and clear instructions, it was extremely easy, so thank you for that! Please make more videos so I can follow and make more myself!! lol
Wow! That turned out so beautiful! I recently found a stick and thought of you, because I’m constantly watching your tutorials. I think I may try this! Thanks for sharing! 💕☺️
I am a new subscriber and have been binge watching your channel! Your channel was recommended by several people in a BoHo Facebook group called “Bohemian Style Decor and Farmhouse Style Decor” for macrame and MCM decor. I love your work and teaching style! I am so inspired to create macrame and just ordered cord and beads from Amazon. Thank you so much for helping me through this time of Covid-19 isolation 💛🌼
Thanks for the great tutorial and more thanks for the inspiration. I made one alike but with a 3 mm cord width, and it created a mini beauty, elegant and royal. Ha ha, this is how it looks to me. Again many thanks ❤️
Thank You Emily for helping me get interested again in Macrame. I followed your tutorial for this Boho Wall Hanging and it came out beautiful !!! Thank you
I love your macrame videos! Not only are they super informative and easy to follow, but they’re so calming to watch lol. I would love if you would add in how long (like how many hours) it takes you to do each piece - if you keep track of that, I know you obviously don’t do it from start to finish without breaks but if you keep track of an estimate :)
I love this! I tried to re-create but I had a hard time with the double half hitch knot. BTW, I haven't attempted any macramé project since the 70's. I need more practice. I modified mine with a lot of square knots and I used some color. I'm happy with it, but I will learn the knot mentioned before because I love the look of it. Thanks again for your terrific tutorial.
I just found your channel....love it.....and love your style....NOT BORING...moves along quickly and very informative..... project turned out beautiful too.
@@EmilyFaith Thanks a lot !! 👌🤘✨ You said that you used 150 yards of 5mm macramé cord ? When I tried to count, I found way more ! 😅😅😅 Can't wait to do it !! 💋💋💋
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful boho macrame pattern. It's been perfect to follow while I've been isolating at home. Although I had to make some alterations, I'm so happy with how it's looking so far.
I wish I could show a picture of my creation. Mine came out beautifully (for a beginner). Next time I will save more string as the suggested cut length was much too long. Everyone loves it! Thank you!
Hi Emily, this was an amazing tutorial clean & easy to follow! I was wondering what size reel of rope did you buy? I see that it comes in 100 ft., 250, 300 etc.
Hola Emily!!! Tu tapiz es hermoso😍😍 👏👏👏me gusta mucho lo que haces👌👌 hago macramé y los tapices bolsos y carteras son mis favoritos para realizar. Desde Argentina 🇦🇷 👋👋👋👋
Finished this during first wave of pandemic “stay at home.” 👍🏻. I have been looking at other tutorials and can’t find any free boho ones that have a clear voice, low music and dimensions in yards and feet ( hate doing conversions.) I just may do this one again and then possibly be brave enough to do my own pattern. So, thank you, Emily!
This is beautiful. I've been hoping you would teach how to do this style of layered wall hanging. Please do another design to inspire us all!! ;) Would also love more macrame projects to teach kids during this Covid school year.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! Emily I'd love to send you a 7 minute tutorial I found on youtube that I just can not seem to get right. Was wishing you could watch and make the pattern then simplify for us beginners and make it easier for us to undestand since your so good at tutorials. Love watching your step by step videos without all the loud background music drowning you out. Also I might add I'm a visual learner moreso than reading instructions on the screen. It's hard for me to concentrate on her hands tying knots and then reading instructions at the same time. I'll be waiting.💖 😉💖
Thank you so much . You are so talented and your explanations on how to do each piece is easy to follow . I have just subscribed to your channel .big Hugs Heather
Omg i am OBSESSED with your channel. i just found it today, but i definitely subscribed and i cant wait to watch more of your content! You seem so down to earth and your tutorials are so informative. I feel like i could actually follow this tutorial!
nirorame I used a 4mm cord instead of 5mm like Emily so it looks a little bit smaller then hers. I didn’t measure mine but the good thing is that you can be creative and make it bigger for example by adding diamonds or decorate differently with cords at the end. Have fun!
Hi Emily! Your macrame is so great and you do it in a refreshing way that makes it fun to watch! It's been a looong time since I've made anything macrame (before you were born! The '70s actually.) I learned and stopped in the same year because of cost and never tried it again. With the resurgence of Boho and macrame, I thought I would try again. My biggest problem is figuring how much cord I'll need for a project of my own design. Several times I would get halfway finished and realized I was going to be short. Do you have a rule of thumb you go by? Any help would be greatly appreciated :-). Keep creating your beautiful works of art! SKD
Awesome job I love it so beautiful I am gonna make me one. Question I am a beginner but I caught onto it really well. But sometimes when I do my square knots and stuff sometimes I do them at different tightness is like a little looser or a little tighter how can you like do you always do your tight or Moderat or any suggestions thank you
You need around 150yrds of cord for this whole project and my wooden stick is just short of 3ft long.
I've made this and it honestly looks incredible!!! 💖
Do you sell these by any chance?
@@shannaramoton2228 you should look on etsy, there are tonnes xx
What is the diameter of the string you are using?

how long did it take?
