Hi, glad to see you. Welcome back., dear friend. How beautiful Celtic Pattern. I am thinking to make this pattern in the center of my new wall hanging . Thanks for sharing.❤❤🧡🌻🫶🏻✨
I used to teach Macrame and Weaving in the 70’s. This was a flashback to some of my students. I remember them fondly. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face and heart.
@@llotus7305 Thank you. I still do both but more people want something small to do. It’s good that they unplug and concentrate on tying the knots and following instructions. I enjoy their expressions when they get it. It is sweet, honest and lovely to see and experience.
@@sharonrimsza7960 I was taught crafts at a really young age, also how people used to tie packages and parcels with cord, and how to make built in carrying handles. Macrame knots came easy, how to put them together to be pretty was play. We need more elders teaching, knots are awesome
Beautiful work. I lived the video. Very inspiring nas relaxing. What music did you play in the background? It was lovely and a great match for the project.
I would like to try making this, how long are each of the 12 cords to start with? Thank you in advance, I will await your reply before starting this project.
I want to make this my first macrame project & follow everything here in the video but I don't see anywhere the measurement for the length of the rope/cord nor the size. Is it a 3mm, 4mm or larger? I woùld greatly appreciate any info you can give. Thanks 😊
That's a very good question. Just going by the appearance, I would hazard a guess that the cord used is 5-6 mm. It looks like it is about half a finger in width. Not completely sure what the length is, but it doesn't appear to be longer than 3-4 m being pulled through the knots, so maybe 6 or 8 meters full length? That would be the high end of guess. I think it's probably shorter than that, though. Maybe as little as 4 m before being tied on. If I were to attempt this, without written instructions, I would cut them on the longer guess. You can always cut the excess off.
Here we go . I will attempt it at 5mm. 4 meters long or 13 feet each cord. I'll let you know how it goes. Lise So just finished the macrame And it turned out beautiful Definatly 5mm and 12 feet is plenty 13 feet was to long.
@djjobain5630 Thanks, that's a decent time. I was wondering because I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to projects, so knowing that it's a fairly quick project is helpful.
Could a person use this to do a chair 🪑 for the back and seat. This is lovely. By a continuous pattern down the back trough to the seat and change knots for a more solid hold for weight and a cushion?
So as I wrote down in another comment I just finished this macrame Celtic knot pattern. Just Beautiful so I did 5mm at 12 feet that's plenty of cord for The project. 13feet for me was to long. So for those of you who are In meters, That's 3.658 meters in length for cord. Enjoy . Lise
You really made a macrame tutorial for a project you had to improvise because you didn’t properly plan or measure the cord to accommodate for knot placement. This is why I dislike doing macrame. You really need like an engineering degree to do it right.

@@djjobain5630 Oh, Yay! I'm so glad my estimate was close enough to work out. How long did it take to work up?
@karynstouffer3562 it took me about 2 hours did stop in between a little . Accounted for that.
