I consider Lzzy to be the best female rock vocalist of this generation, and 2nd only to the great Ann Wilson. (Give or take a Floor Jansen, but her style is different) Halestorm's catalog is deep, and you can't really go wrong. Rock on! 🤘🤘

I am blown away by Lzzy's power and control and immediately thought of Ann Wilson. I would love to see Anne's reaction to Lzzy's music. I am sure she would love it.
Floor just fits her genre perfectly, as Lzzy does hers. Hard rock and symphonic metal require different voices.
Floor says that Lizzy is one of her favorite singers, which considering how ridiculously good Floor is....
I first saw Halestorm in 2010 and met the band and they are the nicest group of people in a band ever. I've become friends with them. I've seen them close to 40 times since 2010. Lzzy & Arejay(drummer) Hale formed the band in 1997 when she was 13 and he was only 10 years old. Joe Hottenger(guitar) & Josh Smith(Bass) joined in 2002. They were signed to atlantic records in 2005 but stayed out on tour for 4 years before they recorded their first record in 2009 and the hit "I Get Off on You" put them on the map. They won a Grammy for "Love Bites(So DO I) in 2013 for Hard Rock/Metal Preformance making them the first female fronted band to win in that catagory. They are currently recording their 4 studio record. If you have any questions about them let me know.
That is a double neck guitar. The upper portion is a 12 string and the lower is a standard 6. Most famously played by Jimmy Page on Stairway To Heaven. Another great reaction!! Unleash The Archers is another female fronted band. the song Awakening is pretty darn good 🤟🏼🍻

This is one of those songs that goes on the gym playlist. Such 🔥. Halestorm comes from Vocalist Lizzy’s last name.....Hale. Lizzy formed Halestorm along with her brother (drummer) in 1997 and this track is from their third album Into the Wild Life album. Excellent reaction and introduction to Halestorm and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more Halestorm on the channel. The week is off to a great start ✌🏽

Hi Jamee, Lzzy is playing a double-neck guitar. Jimmy Page (Zeppelin), Alex Lifeson (Rush), and Don Felder (Eagles) also played double-neck 6/12 string Gibson guitars. However, Lzzy's is a dual 6/6 string model. The lower neck is a 6 string baritone guitar which she had made just for this song.

LZZY is a rock GODDESS....I would literally recommend any song of theirs to listen to.....LZZY just did a cover of Pantera which is AMAZING, also a cover of Doll's "I Will Always Love You" and you will ask yourself Whitney and Dolly who?.....more Halestorm, like I said any song....they sound the same as they do on album as they do live
Their live presence is incredible. I saw them in a concert with Shinedown and Black Stone Cherry, both of whom are definitely worth checking out.
Her voice is even more impressive live if you can believe it!

I love this band. They're from a small Pennsylvania town called Red Lion. My uncle(who plays in a band locally) knew Lzzy and the boys when they were first starting out as a local area band. Ive seen them live twice and they do not disappoint!!! One of my favorites songs by them is called Love Bites( So Do I). It's a freaking banger!!! Awesome video and I can't wait to see more of Halestorm on the channel!!! Also another band worth checking out is Unleash The Archers.

Lzzy is simply the absolute best. I would recommend her collaboration with The Picturebooks and Halestorm's newest song Back from the Dead.
I have been a fan them for a few years.
However, I only recently discovered some of their older songs. The one that stands out for me is called 'Takes My Life'. The best video, imo, was done in 2006 live ( I don't know how to put the UA-cam video link). Very Janis Joplinish'. So good. It's kind of bizarre that people are just learning of Halestorm. They've been together for a long time. Lzzy and her brother formed the bank when she is just 14 years old.
Another thing I love about Halestorm is all if not most of them write or contribute musically or lyrically to their own songs. And with the collaborations Lzzy does. For instance, she did the Hu collaboration. The song was one they as a band already had written. But they wanted to do a collaboration with another country's artist. She wrote the lyrics to the part she sang. A lot of bands don't do that. And these music companies and managers push bands that fit their own views of what a band needs to be. And I believe don't put others out there, so the ones they like don't get outshined. That's just my opinion.

@@jameejams2229 ok some backstory, The Hu are a Mongolian Metal Group known for their unique vocal style. Their music is very hypnotic and interesting and Lzzy Hale adds her uniqueness to their song. If you like The Hu, you will enjoy their song "Totem Wolf"

Great choice of band and song to review, Halestorm is one of the most underrated bands currently out there. Lzzy Hale has a tremendous voice, powerful, and she sings with great energy, she puts her all into all her songs. The band has a great catalogue of music, 4 studio albums worth.

I would absolutely recommend checking out stuff from their first album (Halestorm), as well as any good live performance recording.

This album was a bit of a departure for the band, as their producer for it was more of a country-minded producer. (He has worked with Eric Church a lot, for reference.)
And in my humble opinion as a fan of the band since 2012, the mixes for this particular studio album (Into The Wild Life) don't really do the band as much justice as the albums before and after.

I'm going to throw out a lesser know song, one that they've only done live: 'Takes My Life'. It has a very raw sound to it, and Lzzy shows off a batshit crazy range (especially in the 'Bloody Tour Version' video they have on their vhannel).

As everyone has already said Halestorm rocks, Lzzy rocks and there really isn't a bad song. I've seen them live once and it was amazing. My personal favorites are Do Not Disturb, Vicious, Uncomfortable, Apocalyptic and so many more really....but I'll stop there.

I personally think they are way better live, but haven't found a really good recording. Seen them live a couple of times. For and emotional song it has to be Dear Daughter and fun song Love Bites (But so do I).

This is new Halestorm. its nowhere near as good as old Halestorm. Try "love bites" "I get off" "I miss the misery" "freak like me" or "love hate heartbreak". they sold out some time ago. this was their last song that had their original sound in it
