Lzzy Hale is amazing. If you feel like digging, she documents the steps she took to maintain her voice; no alcohol, more sleep, one coffee then only water, etc. She has been very deliberate in her efforts to keep her voice; she said something along the lines of 'some people don't have to make these changes, I do.'

Just saw Halestorm last month and this woman was as strong as steel the entire show. Never cheated a note. Probably the very best vocalist' on the Rock music scene. Male or female. She takes the crown. And above all that, her little brother is one of the best drummers/ showman around. Finally, they are kind and very sweet folks.

Personal fun fact from me: This music video was filmed in my home town of Flint and "The Machine Shop", that you see in the beginning, is our local rock spot for up coming bands. I saw her live here and she truly touched my soul. Her band members were outside playing cornhole with us while waiting to get inside before the show. She came out and talked with us for a bit also. She was so moved by our crowd that she actually cried on stage. She is such a sweet person.

Lzzy is honestly one of the best vocalists around these days, and her guitar definitely places her with the gods. What's even better is her mainstream appeal. She's guested with acts across the spectrum, from Lindsey Stirling to Eric Church to MGK to In This Moment. She does ballads and hard-driving rock and everything in between. This is a once-in-a-generation talent and a true successor to Lita Ford and Joan Jett.

Being older (59), I love it when singers of today, have learned from those in the past. Pat Benatar when she started out and before she was famous, had the pure voice. She got the part in a musical on Broadway? and the late Harry Chapin was involved in it. He kept telling her she had to rough it up, put some grit in her voice, cause she was playing Zephyr, the bad girl in the musical. Which really helped her later in Rock. She had that ability to stay pure and soft as velvet, then plunge her voice into some roughness to bring a song to life. If you could find a live version of "Hell Is For Children" you'll hear what I mean. Lzzy Hale has that ability as well.

No post production, just instruments and vocals, and Lzzy brings the thunder. From the low notes to the high belts, clean singing at the start to that hard Lzzy grit. @@frankie467 not necessarily. Depends on the style and the role within the song. I think they blended well together and represented a wider range of "rock" sounds.

    Familiar Taste Of Poison.....
You can really see every spectrum of her vocals with that song, to think it’s from their first album so long ago... Lzzy is a powerful vocalist in the rock world, she has so much raw grit

I don't want to think about my age, but that song was bringing back to my head banging days. The big hair metal and hard rock bands of the 80'S. Thank you for reacting to this song. Brought back good memories!!!! I need to buy more music (Halestorm).

if you like that, check out the halestorm covers album, she sings skid row, dio, cinderella, heart and more, and even does duets with sabatian bach of skid row, and tom keifer(sp) from cinderella and a beautiful duet cover of close my eyes forever with lita ford herself, i mean there's no doubt she was highly inspired by 80's rock/metal, and i couldn't love her more for it lol

@@rickjames2043 unfortunately any and all actual albums i've had are long gone, but so are any record players that i've ever had lol so i guess it doesn't matter. these crystal clear cd recordings are nice but there's just something classic and nostalgic about that record scratch sound with music

I saw Halestorm & Alice Cooper in 2019 in Virginia. There was a thunderstorm that rolled in during their set and it was like they summoned the storm for a back beat. Absolutely @#$?@! incredible show.

I think her most powerful recorded live vocal may be when she was invited to duet "That's Damn Rock n, Roll" with Eric Church at the CMA awards. Her gritty screams were amazing!
