Halestorm kicks ass. I miss the misery, Freak Like Me, Apcalyptic, and Love Bites (and so do I) are great. Also, if you like Halestorm, check out The Pretty Reckless
In an interview she says they were teaching her throat singing techniques. She said she would practice. May the vocal gods bring forth Mongolian Hale.!
I love watching people fall in love with Halestorm. I saw them when they opened for Shinedown YEARS ago and they only had a single, self titled album out. And I I was hooked. So this just makes me so happy
Love Bites ( and so do I), Freak Like Me, Apocalyptic or I Miss the Misery for a start all official videos. FYI-The Drummer is Lizzy’s bother and in the Drummers Hall of fame, she also writes 90% of the band songs and she’s Floors Jansen’s favorite rock singer. Oh she has two signature Gibson guitars. Halestorm has a very deep catalog! Stay safe Rock On!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
There isn't a video for it (I don't think) but check out I Like it Heavy from them. It's one that often gets over looked but it's such a great tune from them. It's got a proper beat to it.
"Here's To Us" (Check out the Guest Version with the following guests...David Draiman(Disturbed), Myles Kenedy(Alterbridge), Maria Brink(In This Moment), Brent Smith(Shinedown), James Michael(Sixx A.M.), Tyler Connoly(Theory of A Deadman). I'm forgetting one.....hmmmmm...Oh yeah...FREAKING SLASH.) Also check out... "Freak Like Me" "Familiar Taste of Poison" "Black Vultures" "Killing Ourselves to Live" "I'm Not An Angel"
It is actually difficult to find Halestorm songs that I don't like....they are all just SO good. Amazing to see them live as well because they bring it for EVERY show. Amazing band and just amazing people. The more I learn about them the more I like and respect them. Too many good songs to name but for something with a little different flavor give Do Not Disturb a shot.
You two have hit the Apex of female fronted Bands in the 21st century! Halestorm is one of several amazing hard rock bands lead by dynamic and talented ladies. I am an old hippie and metal head who is 66 and have been to 100s of shows in the past 50 years but after seeing Halestorm 3 times in the last decade, Lzzy is about the most kick ass lady I have ever seen for her voice, songwriting, persona, guitar and keyboard playing, she can do it all. She jammed with Alice Cooper the last time I saw her. Plus her band is top notch, her brother AJ is on drums, she has a killer 1st lead in Joe Hottinger, on awesomen bass and keyboards is Josh Smith. She does chunky rhythm guitar and some killer solos, to see how good she is, search for the Heavy Metal Hall of Fame/Lzzy Hale, she comes out at the end of the show for 8 minutes of solo vocals and guitar that is mindblowing. For studio stuff try Freak Like Me, Rock Show and Mahem. For a great live set search for them at PinkPop 2016. They do a one hour set that will fry your mind. I was shaking when I saw her, she is that good and PinkPop 2016 is Hailstorm at their best. Rock On and Enjo! 🎸
Love this band. Saw them live a few times and Lzzy is an incredible vocalist. Hearing her rasp, growl and scream live is a phenomenal experience. Freak Like Me is my favourite Halestorm song.
_Please_ check out Halestorm's 'Takes My Life'. It's a song that they've only done live (with the early, 'Bloody Tour' version being perhaps the best and the later, 'Live in Belfast' one pretty close), and Lzzy shows some batshit crazy vocals (and range!).
They are from the York, pa area(red lion)... We have a habit of churning out once in a decade acts(live, fuel(some from york and Harrisburg) and now halestorm)
Halestorm is my favorite band EVER. NO ONE writes, sings, plays, &/or performs like LZZY HALE. I suggest checking out Amen, and their latest single, Back From The Dead. You can go wrong g with anything from this band, or any of Lzzy's collaborations. She is amazing, no matter what she does.
Irony, Lzzy is one of the nicest, sweetest individuals in rock. We've been fans since they toured with Shinedown supporting their EP (right, before they got a major contract) and have met them multiple times.
Love this band. They're from a small town called Red Lion in Pennsylvania which is a neighboring town to where I live. I've seen them live twice and they're coming back home in July to play our local fair and I can't wait to see them again. As for song suggestions by them. Too many to list but here are a few favorites of mine. Love Bites, Apocalyptic, Amen, Do not Disturb, Vicious, Scream, Uncomfortable, Mayhem. They also do amazing covers to songs as well Dissident Aggressor (Judas Priest) Bad Romance (Lady Gaga) Still of the Night (White Snake) Ride The Lightning (Metallica) Heathens (21 Pilots) and many more. Another great female fronted Heavy Metal band to check out is Unleash The Archers. Awesome band from Canada and they're on the same record label as Jinjer (Napalm Records). Awesome video Tom and new subscriber to your channel. Can't wait to see what song to react to.
Steeple, I Get Off, I miss the Misery, Amen, Dear Daughter, Love Bites and so do I (they won a Grammy for that one), A familiar taste of poison just to name a few. They've got several albums
Female fronted bands are the most inspiring theme in music in 2000+. Women came in to rock and metal not as bits, but as huge wave. Its like a tsunami. The thing they brought I cannot put out in words but it brought sooooooo much that nowadays the Music industry shines and sparkles.
Seen them several times live and they are really great. The drummer is also her brother by the way. His name is RJ and they have been doing this since they were kids.
Was going to say also that I Miss the Misery-song as well. That is so good. It really shows Lzzy's range. Especially her high end vocals. P.S tell Sarah to follow Floor more also her Master classes in YT. She could learn from one of the best singer's currently at least in the world. Those lessons are their weight in gold I'd imagine.
I should mention some of my favorite female fronted bands that are modern and overlooked, like The Agonist, New Years Day, and Eyes Set to Kill. Listen to their newest albums as their voices have matured spectacularly.
Lita Ford played a double neck guitar. She was originally lead guitar for the Runaways. After they broke up, Lita had several hit songs. One of those is a duet with Ozzy on a song he wrote called "Close My Eyes Forever". In the video you see flashes of her playing a double neck (though mostly she doesn't). Lzzy Hale sang with Lita much later (though in videos it sounds like her voice gets muffled). Check out: "Close My Eyes Forever" with Ozzy here: ua-cam.com/video/foGkU6x3eSE/v-deo.html Check out: "Kiss Me Deadly" ua-cam.com/video/kIt3OGra3Lo/v-deo.html (Lita Ford) Check out: "Close My Eyes Forever" with Lzzy and Disturbed: ua-cam.com/video/vvExN7es-JI/v-deo.html (warning: Cellphone recording that's constantly in motion) Check out: "Close My Eyes Forever" with Lzzy and Lita: ua-cam.com/video/54rokjpt3WU/v-deo.html
Im a halestorm fan, ive seen them in concert, lzzy is just as good live as she is on any recording, she is truly one of the greatest vocalists ive ever heard.
I suggest you to react to the videoclip "Kings" by the Italian power metal band Frozen Crown. They are simply amazing and the female singer Giada will blow your minds :)
Welcome to the queen of belting. Interesting little fact, Halestorm is a family band. The Drummer Roger Hale is Lzzy's brother and they started the band together. More female led metal bands you should check out from the U.S. are "In This Moment", "New Years Day" and "Stiched Up Heart"
If you ever get a chance to see Halestorm live, DO IT! I’ve seen them 8 times over the last 12 years and they are amazing! Not to mention her brother Arejay on the drums is so awesome!
Lizzy hale is so godd that it blows my mind. The craziest thing about is that she is really on her own. I love Floor. I love Tati, I love Anneke, I love Florence, I love so many other female singers in modern heavy (and not heavy) music but the best thing is that loving one specific singer doesnt take anything away from another amazing singer. And I am so happy that it is possible to appreciate different styles and different sound and different approach from different talented people that sometimes I think that i dont deserve that amount of talent that I am lucky to witness watching UA-cam nowadays ))) that is an amazing feeling of discovery that we can expect now every day. Isnt that a miracle?
After Halestorm you may like to check out Alestorm, without the H, a scottish metal band with piratical lyrics. If you liked Nanowar you'll most likely like Alestorm as well.
Glad you two enjoyed discovering Halestorm and the amazing talent that is Lzzy Hale. Can I recommend you track down the 3 cover Eps they have recorded. This incredible woman can sing everything from Lady Gaga to AC/DC amazingly, you will be blown away. Keep the reactions coming. Cheers from Australia.
There are undead a lot of women in hard rock/metal and you have so many more to experience. Maria Brink from In this moment, Jill Janus (rest in power) from The Huntress, Emily Armstrong from Dead Sara, Liv Jagrell from Sister Sin, Jennie Skulander from Devilskin, Battle Beast, New Years Day, The Agonist, Diamante, the entire bands Frantic Amber and Crucified Barbara... Let's just say there are a lot. Also, if you think Lzzy has sass now you have not heard anything yet. "Do not disturb" comes to mind, hilarious video, but the lyrics. Oh my...
Seen them live 3 times they kick ass every time and last time Lzzy blew the mic out with a scream I think playing apocalyptic🤣 it cut out and she ran too another mic and said oops happens allot around me 🤣
Every time I watch a Halestorm video I wonder what childhood trauma from drums Arejay Hale (Lizzy's brother, the drummer) went through... I swear every time he plays its a revenge beating on the drums! Dude is a beast behind the kit... Almost as much of a beast as Lizzy is behind the mic!
I like it heavy is another great one. I don't think it has a video but it's worth hearing. Also Do not disturb, Apocalyptic, I miss the misery, Freak like me, Mz Hyde, Familiar taste of poison, and Black Vultures
Actually, I’ve seen interviews with her, and she is a lot more laid back in that Aforum. Halestorm are frome Southeast PA, about 50 miles north of Baltimore.
Eric Church - That's Damn Rock n Roll ft Lzzy Hale CMA 2014 (FIxed Audio) ! =:D also small deed for u TT, drummer is actually her younger brother... =D
Hey man, I hope you've noticed I've been a redualr in here when I see you have live chats, and dammit, I may have to make the 5 buck a month donation to help you discover EVEN MORE awesome music in these metal genres you have in here... Love it man, and keep up the great work!!!!!
Also for more great ladies now a days, try Liliac (amazing band of siblings who do killer originals and covers), Dorothy (this woman kicks butt, old school rock), Simply Reckless (modern hard rock with edgy videos), Samantha Fish (from a blues background with her own sound) and Ally V enable (old school blues rock). I like that you like modern female rockers, they have been an eye opener for this old rocker. I saw Grace Slick, the Wilson sisters and Heart, Pat Benatar, Fleetwood Mac and Joan Jett and the ladies I listed above could play with anyone. Enjoy! 🎸
Lizzy is badass and the band too!, Her brother is the drummer I think??, I know he's in the band.(hence the band name Halestorm) You should try their tune I Miss the Misery. cheers \m/
You should react these songs from Halestorm: Familiar Teste of Poison, and I miss the Missery. Dorothy, and The Pretty Reckless. I would recommend Missle, and Freedom from Dorothy. For The Pretty Reckless, Just Tonight and Absolution.
Izzy is Great. If Sarah wants to learn more you should check out her UA-cam Channel and her Masterclasses. Unleash the Archers is a Canadian band. Arch Enemy is a female fronted band and she is Canadian.
The drummer is Lzzy's brother Arjay Hale. Lzzy works hard training her vocals. But she sounds the same acoustically and in concert. Not much voice distortion you see I other artists. Halestorm is one of my favorite bands. I have many from over the years. Halestorm is definitely a technically kick ass Rock Band
Hi hopeu ok it steve 49 in uk .huge nightwish and halestorm fan .yes group and lzzy hale amazing .to hear her belt out some notea check out halestorm mayhem .
Halestorm rocks big time, Lzzy’s voice is ferocious. If you love Lzzy’s voice in that other song this will blow you out the f’n water. BOOM 💥 So you want to explore more of Lzzy and Halestorm, your going to love everything you hear. Stay cool 😎 and… \m/ Stay Metal \m/
Anything Lizzy Hale does is interesting and cool to listen to by definition (as is Melody Christea from Liliac for the same reasons)! Daughters of Darkness s one of Halestorm's better efforts, by the way, which I can recommend.
You should do Lindsey Sterling ft Lzzy Hale “Shatter Me”. Not rock but check out Pentatonix. Do Hallelujah, Daft Punk, sound of silence, the Prayer. Give it a shot.
When you get around to nightwish the greatest show on earth please please include your lovely wife it will blow your mind but it has to be the live version as always with nightwish at tampere also epica kingdom of heaven live again mind blowing
WOMEN HAVE BEEN ROCKING FOREVER YOU''LL LOVE ADRENALIZE BY IN THIS MOMENT, SWEET THINGS BY THE PRETTY RECKLESS, LOVE BITES BY HALESTORM, OUR PARADISE BY WITHIN TEMPTATION !!! 🤘🤘🤘
Halestorm is one of those all-too-rare bands who sound SOOOO much better LIVE than studio-produced. If you enjoyed them here, DEFINITELY check out some of their live performances. I highly recommend "Familiar Taste of Poison" from their Jimmy Fallon appearance: ua-cam.com/video/VSJ9N-aCUOE/v-deo.html
One of my favorite rock bands! If you are looking for something heavier from them try mayhem. For softer, here's to us. They also do an awesome cover of ACDC's shoot to thrill. She and her brother (their drummer) started this band when they were in school.
OKAY TUFFNUTS...MY GIFT TO YOU!!! Here are a couple very intimate live performances that just give me chills EVERY TIME!!! (When it comes to different singing registers...there is "head voice"..."chest voice"...but Lizzy has a "Face voice!". She just blasts those sound waves right out through her teeth!) There's a reason Lzzy is Floor's favorite female voice in rock.
Floor said she would love to pair up with Lzzy for a song and if that ever happens I would die LOL. My fav ladies of rock/metal 🖤
If you like Lzzy’s rasp you need “I miss the Misery”. It’ll go on both your playlists forever!!
It was my ringtone forever. Now I have the Familiar Taste of Poision. 🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👏
I really wish Lzzy and Beth Hart would do a collaboration. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Halestorm kicks ass. I miss the misery, Freak Like Me, Apcalyptic, and Love Bites (and so do I) are great. Also, if you like Halestorm, check out The Pretty Reckless
Lzzy also does an awesome collaboration with Mongolian band The Hu, "Song of Women"
In an interview she says they were teaching her throat singing techniques. She said she would practice. May the vocal gods bring forth Mongolian Hale.!
They are fantastic and Lzzy is a vocal beast. They put on an amazing show and sound just as great live!
I love watching people fall in love with Halestorm. I saw them when they opened for Shinedown YEARS ago and they only had a single, self titled album out. And I I was hooked. So this just makes me so happy
There is NO OTHER singer like Lzzy!! She is phenomenal!! 🎸🤘🏼
Lzzy's voice can go from silky smooth to gravel road in an instant.
Love Bites ( and so do I), Freak Like Me, Apocalyptic or I Miss the Misery for a start all official videos. An awesome song by Lizzy Hale specifically is a collaboration she did with Linfsey Stirling, titled "Shatter Me".

Freak Like Me is my favourite Halestorm song.
So glad to see you react to Halestorm! Great band. There is a whole library out there to discover. They are from central Pennsylvania.
_Please_ check out Halestorm's 'Takes My Life'. It's a song that they've only done live (with the early, 'Bloody Tour' version being perhaps the best and the later, 'Live in Belfast' one pretty close), and Lzzy shows some batshit crazy vocals (and range!).

Love me some Halestorm. Great reaction and glad you enjoyed it. Strongly suggest checking out Freak Like Me for an epic bit of vocals.
Need to check out New Year's Day "Shut Up". Also, In The Moment .

A very underrated female band from the late 90s, Kittie! You should start with Spit or Brackish. I wore my CD slap out!
The drummer in the band is Lzzy Hale's brother Arejay Hale. Hence, Halestorm

Anything Lizzy Hale does is interesting and cool to listen to by definition (as is Melody Christea from Liliac for the same reasons)! Daughters of Darkness s one of Halestorm's better efforts, by the way, which I can recommend.
There's no I in Lzzy

A couple others have said it, but if you love Lizzy's voice, as you should, check out Taylor Momsen fronting The Pretty Reckless. You won't regret it.
Great voice to hear just how good and what range she has watch her uplugged version of girl crush
awesome reaction and here is a suggestion for a not so well known but awesome female fronted band the letter black song up from the ashes
Highly HIGHLY recommend checking out Seven Spires if you are into powerful female metal vocalists
Try "Vicious", "I miss the Misery", "Love Bites and So Do I", "A Familiar Taste of Poison"......
This is my theme song 🤟💖
You should do Lindsey Sterling ft Lzzy Hale “Shatter Me”.
Not rock but check out Pentatonix. Do Hallelujah, Daft Punk, sound of silence, the Prayer. Give it a shot.
React to their song " I miss the Misery:
Look up the metal groups Drain S.T.H. and 90s female led metal bands
Love the video, if you are looking for more badass female led bands i highly recommend Dream State.
Excellent reaction. Check out "In This Moment" if you haven't already
When you get around to nightwish the greatest show on earth please please include your lovely wife it will blow your mind but it has to be the live version as always with nightwish at tampere also epica kingdom of heaven live again mind blowing
I bullshit you not when i say Lzzy Hale has a BADASS VOICE !
I think she's the fire 😂
You want to see a different side of Lzzy Hale. Check out her song "Dear Daughter".
If you want to hear Lzzy with more pulled down background, then try: Lindsey Stirling "Shatter Me"(feat. Lzzy Hale) // SiriusXM
You still haven't fallen into Britteny Slayes of Unleash the Archers. Please do!
Oh, Canada 🇨🇦
I have indeed, you just haven't found it yet. I did "The Awakening", but dont worry, I will be coming back to Miss Brittany very soon ;)
You need to do I miss the misery by Lzzy. Evansence please Call me when your sober, Better off without you, My immortal.
They are from Pennsylvania
OKAY TUFFNUTS...MY GIFT TO YOU!!!
Here are a couple very intimate live performances that just give me chills EVERY TIME!!!
(When it comes to different singing registers...there is "head voice"..."chest voice"...but Lizzy has a "Face voice!". She just blasts those sound waves right out through her teeth!)
