I love Halestorm! Anything they play is straight to the play list. Your wife would like "Here's to Us" or "Dear daughter". they are on the lighter side.
Shout out to Lzzy for taking The Warning under her wing for the tour last summer! The Villarreal sisters were already huge fans even before the invite. The gifted Gibson was over and above. Class act!
Hell yeah!! I feel exactly the same!! I saw The Warning and Halestorm together in Colorado Springs last year. It was badass!! Glad to know a fellow supporter!!! Cheers!! 🤜🏼♥️🤛🏼
I was already a fan of Lzzy and Halestorm and to see her, her brother and the band take The Warning under their wing was just incredible, Dany, Pau and Ale I'm sure learned so much from them.
The power and control she has over. Her voice is absolutely incredible. To be perfectly honest I don’t even think this is one of the more impressive songs. She’s absolutely one of my favourite singers. She’s also an amazing person and she absolutely adores her fans.
Yeah, Lzzy has an awesome voice. Nightwish's Floor Jansen is a Lzzy fan. Lzzy and AreJay formed the band in 1997. They were 13 and 10. Lead guitar ,Joe Hottinger, and bassist Josh Smith, joined in 2003 and 2004.One of my favorite songs of theirs. I think your wife will like them, she will almost certainly like their ballad ,Break In, especially the duet version with Amy Lee from Evanescence. Amy and Lzzy are good friends. Other rockin' songs to try: I Miss The Misery, Freak Like Me ,and the title track to the last album, Back From The Dead.
She was also Gibson guitars first ever female ambassador she is a monster on it. You should check out their song Dear Daughter it shows a different side and I believe every one with one should hear it.
HUGE Halestorm fan here. So happy you started the hopeful rabbit hole of women in rock. Listen to In This Moment, New Years Day, Spirit box.....omg I could go on and on...lol
Six months late to this reaction as it just showed up in my TY feed. Lzzy is a force of nature. Full disclosure I'm a hardcore fan, lost track of how many times I've seen them. As of this writing this comment I've met the band four times; they are by far the nicest, most down to earth people I've ever met. Sometimes meeting your heroes is a blessing.
Halestorm is one of my favorite bands and I am so happy you liked this song. You should really hear all of their albums just so you can hear how diverse her voice really is.
Love this!!! Saw Halestorm open for Godsmack (my daughter with special needs got a hug from Sully Erna that day❤) in 2019 and have been hooked ever since. Lzzy has some serious pipes!
I also recommend Halestorm’s “I Miss The Misery,” “Back From The Dead” and “Black Vultures” (for “Black Vultures,” I recommend a lyric video instead of the official music video as the music video makes little sense in relation to the song and - more importantly - you see boobs through semi-transparent clothing).
Lzzy’s straight up badass and her bro RJ is the drummer and he’s an animal. Check out I miss the misery or if you want to hear her stripped down she does a duet with Amy lee of evanescence called break in..check them out won’t be disappointed
Lzzy's voice control is insane! Her voice can be incredibly beautiful and melodic or she can add more grit and distortion than any other female rocker...often in the same song! She is one of a kind!
Halestorm is one of my favorite bands. LOVE this song. I listen to it every morning to get myself going!! Check out Daughters of Darkness 🤘🏻🤘🏻 it’s for us metal chicks ;)
Lazy Hale is a fuggin beast! To truly appreciate her talent, please make time to watch her perform her song, 'I Miss The Misery'. Live on the Johnny Dare morning show. It is acoustic and amazing!!!
First off I love Lzzy and she is literally the greatest female singer ever and you need to check out all her and Halestorm's catalog. They also have like 3 albums of nothing but cover songs. Second you need to check out her duet with Country singer ERIC CHURCH called That’s Damn Rock & Roll recorded live at the CMA Festival in Nashville in 2014. And third you should definitely check out the other band that you mentioned THE PRETTY RECKLESS. The lead singer Taylor Momsen played Cindy-Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas movie from 2000 and also Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2010. Another great rocking female singer
One of my absolute favorite bands, especially live! Lzzy is one of best voices in rock right now. So many great songs in their catalog but, if you want to check out a couple tracks where her voice is more prominent (I know ... when isn't it? HA!) there are two exceptional covers that come to mind. During the pandemic she did a fantastic over of The Black Crowes' "She Talks to Angels" with Mark Morton of Lamb of God playing acoustic guitar. And then Halestorm were in a Sirius XM recording room and delivered an awesome unplugged version of Little Big Town's "Girl Crush". As for their own discography, give a listen to "Mz. Hyde", "Freak Like Me", "Amen", "I Miss the Misery" and, since you mentioned adding to your gym playlist, definitely urge you to check out "Back From the Dead". Keep on rockin', Sebs!
I love almost everything they have ever done. My recent favorite is “Back From the Dead” just crank it up, strap in and enjoy. It’s probably not one for your wife though. For her I saw some good recommendations in the comments already. I would however like to add one of my own recommendations. Lzzy did a collaboration with the Mongolian band The Hu called “Song of Women” that is amazing and beautiful. I think you both will love it. As always, cheers from West Texas.😎🤘🏻
Yesss thanks for this!!!!!! Hopefully she enjoys it too!! Like I said, I'm a country fan but my roomie was big on metal. Halestorm we could agree on because despite going hard, her voice is musical!!! And the music stays a focus. (plus the lyrics are still easy to listen to). Glad you enjoyed it!! (the second song she will really like I think, it almost has country vibes)
Lzzy is amazing and Halestorm has some real bangers. She's also done a couple of collabs worth checking out; "Rebel" with The Picturebooks, and "The Song of Women" with The Hu.
She's an amazing singer. So many collabs under her built. Legends, peers, up and comers. She is like another Dave Grohl. And I mean that as a compliment. Everyone wants to work with her. Daughtry just did a cover of "Separate Ways" with her that is absolute fire. She did a cover of "Close My Eyes Forever" With Dave Draiman when he was doing his side project, Device. She's done a song with The Hu, "Song of Woman," which is an absolute masterpiece, in which she actually learned a bit of Mongolian throat singing for a part of the song's climax to be EVEN MORE in sync with them. Then there's the collab with Amy Lee from Evanescence, "Break In," which was recorded during the pandemic. And that is an absolute thing of beauty and heartbreak all in one. Definitely need to check out more of HER band, of course. Check out their first single. "Love Bites (And So Do I)."
where you read Lizzy gifted a guitar to Dani from the warning.Check out "The Warning" Choke / Evolve/ Disciple , any of those songs. If you do evolve, do the live version on the MTV music video awards. And for your next Lizzy (Halestorm) check out "Back from the dead"
That entire album was badass. She is a generational talent. She can shred, squeal, scream, and sing all in the same song. Another good one from that album is Love Bites (and so do I).
I saw them with Alice in Chains and Bullet for my Valentine years ago. She's amazing. She has done stuff with Amy Lee from Evanessence as well. Frankly I would love to see her do a collab with Tatiana from Jinjer.
Like you I grew up on a diet of metallica, megadeth, slayer and have only just gotten into Halestorm in the last Month, instant fan love their stuff, favorite song: Love bites and the official video is energy personified...... check it out!!!
I think I saw this review shortly after you posted, and I remembered how you were digging the guitar. I've seen some of your other reviews such your SRV impressions. If you haven't heard of Polyphia and/or Tim Henson, my guess is you will be in for a treat. I recommend you start with "Ego Death" which features Steve Vai, then go to their probably most popular song to date, "Playing God". They also have a couple of live shows on their channel, but if you are ever looking for the next guitar.... well he is already ... one of the greats at age of 28, I suggest giving this one a blind watch.
Just found your channel and sub'd. Halestorm is in my top 3 bands. I would recommend: Love Bites (So Do I) - in the Live Room Familiar Taste of Poison Freak Like Me Peace!
I'm not sure how you've never heard of Halestorm and specifically Lzzy Hale, both this song specifically was used in all of the promos for the final season of Game of Thrones. As for Lzzy she is an all time great singer, and not just this hard rock. Halestorm had more like this; try Love Bites But So Do I, Here's to Us and especially I Miss the Misery all 3 are exceptional. But also try something of a softer rock song like Familiar Taste of Poison and Dear Daughter. And if you really want your mind blown check out Break In, but do yourself a favor and find the version with Amy Lee from Evanescence, it's infuriating hearing two voices so perfect with eachother and to realize that they have not released an entire album together its almost a crime against music. She's also great on Shatter Me with Lindsey Stirling
Whattt?!? You love rock and you've never heard of Halestorm? They've been around for over 20 years, you've been missing out! You NEED to go down the Halestorm rabbit hole and catch up! They even won a Grammy for best rock performance 10 years ago! I'm sorry, not trying to be mean... just shocked that you never heard of them. 😉 I'm a little biased though, I guess, because they grew up only 10 miles from my hometown in southern PA. Seriously... please, please, check out more of their music, especially "I Miss the Misery", "Apocalyptic", "Familiar Taste of Poison" and "Break In", which is a slow duet with Lzzy and Amy Lee from Evanescence! Just recently, Lzzy has partnered up with Daughtry for a remake of Journey's, "Separate Ways". Check it out! They are super talented and just as good LIVE as they are on the radio!!! I think you and your wife will both love 'em! ❤

Lzzy is entirely badass. Such an under-known and tragically underrated poet and songwriter and singers and performers. This band...
"The familiar taste of poison" is a beautiful jam
I love Halestorm! Anything they play is straight to the play list. Your wife would like "Here's to Us" or "Dear daughter". they are on the lighter side.
Lzzy is FANTASTIC! And because of her I just found another young group who have a lot of promise. The Warning
Shout out to Lzzy for taking The Warning under her wing for the tour last summer! The Villarreal sisters were already huge fans even before the invite. The gifted Gibson was over and above. Class act!
Saw them in KC, great show even tho Taylor with pretty reckless was sick and they weren’t able to go on..the rest pulled their weight beautifully
Gotta check out more Halestorm man, they are insane.
Love Halestorm and Lzzy ❤
Love Bites, So Do I should be the next
The power and control she has over. Her voice is absolutely incredible. To be perfectly honest I don’t even think this is one of the more impressive songs. She’s absolutely one of my favourite singers. She’s also an amazing person and she absolutely adores her fans.
I MISS THE MISERY!!! A little older. But Lizzy is a ROCK GODDESS!! Pick a song any song!
Lzzy Hale is my favorite female singer. She nails it only every friggin time.

We saw them for the 3rd time last year with THE WARNING and NEW YEARS DAY, and HALESTORM played for almost 2 hours straight ! Fantastic concert!
She was also Gibson guitars first ever female ambassador she is a monster on it. You should check out their song Dear Daughter it shows a different side and I believe every one with one should hear it.
She has her own signature model if you like white.
HUGE Halestorm fan here. So happy you started the hopeful rabbit hole of women in rock. Listen to In This Moment, New Years Day, Spirit box.....omg I could go on and on...lol

As a lifelong metal fan and a female their I Like It Heavy is my anthem, lol I went to hundreds of shows the feeling is that song
Like you, I grew up on a lot of rock and metal, and I discovered Halestorm only 2 years ago...I can't believe I missed them!!!
Halestorm is one of my favorite bands and I am so happy you liked this song. You should really hear all of their albums just so you can hear how diverse her voice really is.
This song is FIRE!! Lzzy is incredible, love Halestorm. Thanks Sebs and stay safe and well.
Love this!!! Saw Halestorm open for Godsmack (my daughter with special needs got a hug from Sully Erna that day❤) in 2019 and have been hooked ever since. Lzzy has some serious pipes!
Ahh ... Love this reaction and song! Ali really needs to see this, I think she'll love it. #girlpower 😂 💖🦋
Can never go wrong with Lzzy
THE QUEEN
I would recommend "familiar taste of poison", you'll really enjoy lzzy's voice on this.
Show your wife "Dear Daughter" by Halestorm. She (and you) will Love it! 🤘🏼

I watched her preform that song live when she was here at choctaw casino and resort in durant. The whole concert was amazing.
They are fantastic in concert as well !
More Lzzy. Always good. What a voice! And before you ask, yes, she can do it live. I saw it in Kansas City July 2022. Pure power.
You and your wife should check out Lzzy and the Hu , Woman's Song !!!
Her duet with Eric Church from CMA is GREAT, MUST SEE.
Halestorm is one of my favorite bands. LOVE this song. I listen to it every morning to get myself going!! Check out Daughters of Darkness 🤘🏻🤘🏻 it’s for us metal chicks ;)
Some good stuff. Her and Eric Church has a live song together. "Thats damn rock and roll" aaand lol, Eric Church is a helluva country artist
Eric Church and Lizzy Hale at the CMA’s, singing “That’s Damn Rock & Roll”.
Check out Halestorms "Break In" featuring Amy Lee of Evanescence. So beautiful. Lzzy and Amy's voices together 🔥 the harmonies are unbelievable ✌🏼♥️
Check out her duet with Eric church at the CMA awards a few years ago.
And yes she sounds that good live!
In addition to being a great singer, she and the boys have been great friends and mentors to The Warning.
Lazy Hale is a fuggin beast! To truly appreciate her talent, please make time to watch her perform her song, 'I Miss The Misery'. Live on the Johnny Dare morning show. It is acoustic and amazing!!!

Lzzy’s voice gives me chills. Been a fan for such a long time.
A perfect "Gym List" from Lzzy is I Like It Heavy.
It works well form my motorcycle list as well.
She’s awesome with Daughtry in their version of “Separate Ways”! It’s a must see video!!!!!!!👏👍
I've seen her in person twice. That voice is real and it is crazy powerful
I love almost everything they have ever done. My recent favorite is “Back From the Dead” just crank it up, strap in and enjoy. It’s probably not one for your wife though.
She is the first woman I've seen play a double neck guitar
Lita Ford did it in the '80s, lol
Lzzy is amazing and Halestorm has some real bangers. She's also done a couple of collabs worth checking out; "Rebel" with The Picturebooks, and "The Song of Women" with The Hu.
Lzzy Hale is hands down the best female ROCK! singer of our Generation! Crazy voice
dude gotta do the official video of love bites So do I.... sooooo awesome of a song and Lizzy is a beast!!!!!!!!
She's an amazing singer. So many collabs under her built. Legends, peers, up and comers. She is like another Dave Grohl. And I mean that as a compliment. Everyone wants to work with her. That voice... I Miss the Misery is my favorite from them.
Lzzy is great!
They won a Grammy for rock/metal performance in 2013 for Love Bites (and so do I).
Lizzy Hale is amazing. It is not really my preferred genre, but my husband has turned me onto Halestorm.
That entire album was badass. She is a generational talent. She can shred, squeal, scream, and sing all in the same song.
Another good one from that album is Love Bites (and so do I).
Break In with Amy Lee is just insane. Two power houses together as one. Great song.
It's been awhile, time for more Halestorm!
She’s just as good, if not better, live! I saw Halestorm with Evanescence last year and when Lzzy duets with Amy Lee…. DAAAAAAAAAMN!
Just to let you know she is mainstream. She's one of the best female rock bads of all time some might say best ever
I saw them with Alice in Chains and Bullet for my Valentine years ago. She's amazing. She has done stuff with Amy Lee from Evanessence as well. Frankly I would love to see her do a collab with Tatiana from Jinjer.
Their my favorite
You need to listen to her sing it live, sounds exactly the same so good 🤘
Halestorm is freakin amazing...you should check out love bites...her scream is insane....also check out anything by Shinedown another amazing voice
I LOVE Halestorm ❤️
I think you might be able to enjoy Pretty Reckless. Her voice isn't too high on the range that gives you the Styrofoam cringies.
I think you'd like Love bites (and so do I) live from the live room. It shows her ability but really showcases her control.
Her voice in Back from the Dead is incredible too. Check that one out sometime
Like you I grew up on a diet of metallica, megadeth, slayer and have only just gotten into Halestorm in the last Month, instant fan love their stuff, favorite song: Love bites and the official video is energy personified...... check it out!!!
Also Daughtry and Lzzy Hale did a cover of Journey's Separate Ways. It's pretty damn good.

Familiar Taste of Poison
Freak Like Me

Lzzy Hale is the first female ambassador for Gibson.
Lzzy Hale could blow the roof off an open air venue.
me 2 - i love that song.
If this is your first Halestorm.....just wait, it gets better!
This was the song that i cut my teeth with Halestorm. Lzzy is rock royalty.
Whattt?!? You love rock and you've never heard of Halestorm? They've been around for over 20 years, you've been missing out! You NEED to go down the Halestorm rabbit hole and catch up! U should react to their live version of wicked ways😁🙏
Listen to that’s just rocknroll with Eric Church the live version. You will be blown away
If you like her and happen to be a fan of evanescence, then you should listen to her and amy lee perform a song called Break in
I’m going out on a limb to state that Robert Plant wishes he had those pipes.
