This song is responsible for starting this Staind binge. Learned it first and in my typical fashion, I learned 10 other songs and ended up recording them first instead. The amount of songs that have gotten thrown aside for this reason over the years you would not believe but luckily, I did get back to this one soon enough lol.
The plan is to continue with Staind for the time being. I said I'll do 12-15 songs, now it's looking more like 20-ish songs. The Staind stuff is a blast to learn once you get the tunings down and Mike's unorthodox style. I never really bothered learning anything from them before because of this so in a way, I'm making up for lost time.
I think it’s beautiful display of what a great guitar part can do for an ok vocal part.
I like the part on guitar when Aaron sings “I only know that I can change....” its like this gloomy creepy feel and sound. It really adds a certain element to the song
My favorite part
To me, it sounds like an underground level in a game...
Finally someone played this right on UA-cam!!! 🤘🏻
Thanks!
man seeing this really makes me realize how sick mike is. He turned shit most bands would just play normal chords and his way just adds SOOO much flavor.
Agreed. His unique style really makes Staind's music stand out especially compared to most other bands of that era. Nobody really plays like him.
@@MysticGuitar77 it's all because of the haunting, weird jazzy chords.
@@rockboy360 and his array of unique baritone tunings
Love the Deftones-y vibe in a Staind song! Nu-metal for life! 🤘💥🎸😎
wow! when you see vids like this, you can really see the genius that is mike mushok! NO ONE writes like that guy!!
This is the 16th time i learned a song and used your covers as a reference. Keep up the good work
Thanks!
I love the split harmonic in the beginning. Kinda gives it almost a sweeping motion almost
Brings back memories :)
Awesome cover, my friend! Very clean. Keep it up, dude!
I have to commend you Man.. Staind has been my lifelong favorite #1 Band. But never have I attempted to cover even 1 song of theirs. I am a bassist and I can play way more technical stuff than this band.. what I find impossible with staind is tha I dunno its so hard to play it tight. Kudos to you Man
Ooouuch...Amazing sound dude!!!!Nice,Nice,Nice🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍
I love that guitar effect
Mike is a master of irony. He uses a fade in effect in a song called "Fade". I believe that isn't a coincidence lol.
@@MysticGuitar77 What do you think about Mike work in Staind and Saint Asonia? You rock man 👍
@@MysticGuitar77 he also has a song called a flat that is tuned in a flat
Fucking love that phaser effect you're using, man (pretty sure it's a phaser, right?). Great cover.
love the schecter.....we use damien 7s in my band.... sick guitars, me and my other guitar player have been playing the same ones for like 15 years. and I mean literally same guitars, been with us everywhere... recorded two albums....still use those same two guitars today...
Thanks for this! Just got the book for the album but was having trouble making sense of some of the picking. Much appreciated! This was a huge help!
Nicely done❤️🤘
Great song!
Super🔥
I hate to say this but I would rather listen to this than the actual song.

Awesome tone and job man. I guess this was the song that was playing on MTV before the video was cut short to show the emergency of 911
Thanks for watching!
310th like mine!
This song is responsible for someone to play on the electric guitar because when the band were performing in different places
Would you recommend using higher gauge strings for staind songs like these ? Since the tuning is so wonky
Hellow de staind better days cover ?🙏🤘🎸
What strings u playing?
What tone is the guitar?
What is the tone?
I'll do the octaves, you do the meaty main riff? Agreed? 🤘😈🤘
Drop G#?? Is that a baritone?
Yes
Good cover for a baritone original :)
Thanks!
@@MysticGuitar77 Rock on my man.
