We have a whole litter 😮 Including some of their striped relatives 😅 The black kitties are fantastic and fun to have. We believe in the Japanese ideas of black cats being symbols of good luck.
I have 2 Bombay's Nicky adopted him from shelter when he was 2 years Hes now 4 years very cuddly boi but loves be lazy and loves food and his "brother" umi a stay kitten I found 3 months ago Hes very playful very cute and also loves food and cuddles and chewing cords. Both love to play together, sleep together, and just about everything. Love my long bois so much.
I adopted my male Bombay Xander a year ago when he was 11 wks old. I could tell he was different then other cats I have had. He's smart and docile, he is a mini panther for sure. They call them Parlor Panthers and Velcro cats because they are always with you. My Xander helps me with my sleep apnea by waking me up when I'm not using my CPAP machine and I stop breathing. He is very loving and is getting BIG! He likes my friends but is very jealous of my daughter and granddaughter - he looks annoyed at them and I Have to baby him long after they visit!
I also have a Bombay cat and he wakes me up for work almost every morning lol I’m a heavy sleeper so my alarm doesn’t usually wake me up so when my alarm goes off he pokes my face with his paw and meows until I wake up lmao
I found my black gem in a garbage can, while she was desperately looking for a bit to eat. Then she was lost and exhausted. Her mom had either abandoned her or was perished. I never forget the bewildered sad look in her mesmerizing eyes. I didn't think twice even for a second whether I can or cannot keep her at home. I just picked her up from the hot pavement and took her home. She is the second black-coated kitty I'm tending.
I had a little, bedraggled cat turn up in my garden a couple of months ago. The poor thing was skinny as hell and very scared. After doing everything in my power to find his owners, to no avail, I've adopted him. Turns out he's a pure shorthaired American Bombay. He's recovering very well
Same story. Kiki kat kept popping up scared in street drain. We fed her, she slowly came to steps, then to deck. One day she was sitting in the street crying in the rain. We brought her inside 1 year ago. She follows my husband. Turns out I have cat allergy and start shots next month. So worth it.
I have a bombay named Ian. i adopted him from a shelter when he was 10 months old. I'm 26 years old and this is the first animal i have ever truly loved and look forward to being with. It's incredible and i'm grateful to have him with me, which by the way, he is GLUED to me lol. If you're thinking of getting one, then i can't recommend it enough :)
@getwthenewage4871 oh dude absolutely with the restroom. No matter what he’ll come with me to the restroom and sit there like he’s an armed security guard😂 Sometimes his meowing might be kinda annoying, but I’d much rather have a cat that never stops talking to me than one that wants nothing to do with me, ya know?
About 8 years ago I found a kitten in the bushes, she was so small I had to hand rear her for almost a month. I had no idea I had found such a wonderful little Bombay cat for a couple years, and it's been such a fun journey with my best little buddy ever since. Everything stated in the video was pretty much exact. 😂❤
Got my Bombay 18 months ago. Not sure if it’s really a Bombay, but looks like a Bombay and acts like one. She never leaves my side so I can walk her like a dog. And she never stops talking. My daughter put it this way “ of course our cat is a girl; she likes cuddles and she likes to talk.” All black cat with a heart of gold
I adopted 2 Bombay brothers born in 2020 during the pandemic. Having 2 male cats has been quite interesting to say the least...the bigger one is the "watch cat" 😊 They're so smart among many things 🥰🥰
The cat has its left ear about a quarter of the top of it cut off I guess that means it's been captured and released I've been just made home in my backyard and I love it
@@danfeese904means its a feral cat. All male ferals have fought and there is where their pawns hit and chip a bit of the ear. Most feral males have those left ears around the world. Ps: they use right arm when slapping with claws out if not family. Meaning other side, left
Me and girlfriend got a Bombay kitten a year and a half ago, when we brought him home he immediately started walking around with his tail up and snuggling us. He is still the same now, just a fluffy ball of love. So thanks to Nikki for making this breed possible. We love our Franklin and couldn’t be happier with him.
A word of warning - you CANNOT see them in the dark, if they're not already in bed with you be careful where you stand 😅 I didn't realise they all like playing fetch 😅😅 mine makes these funny cooing noises like a bird, not sure what it means
You are absolutely right about not being able to see them in the dark! Each night as I close up the house, I'll look outside to see if my sweetie is out on the deck. If I don't see him then I open the screen to see if he is anywhere farther out on the deck. As soon as I open it, I look down and see he's right at my feet.
I had my Bombay trained to go to the bedroom when I said, "Time for bed." He was a snuggle muffin. I could see him In the dark, but only when he was on the floor. I had off-white carpet. 😊
I can't wait to get my own bombay cat. The first time I fell in love with them was when I started watching Sabrina The Teenaged Witch as a kid. Salem always made me laugh, and was the sole reason I watched the show. I hope to one day get a male bombay, and name him Salem.
I have a stray male bombay cat, he is amazing, so friendly and loving to a complete stranger (me), I have a mouse on a stick toy and he can jump really high for it
Well if you don't get a purebred then please consider to get a black domestic cat rescue /adoption. They are adopted/rescued far less that other cats because of ridiculous superstitions. They are awesome too!! I love mine so much!! My Sparticus is so lovable. If I bend over he runs across the room and jumps on my back. Since he is VERY big and heavy he almost knocks me over. He does like a lot of attention and gets along well with KleaKatraBella, my grey and white tuxedo girl. He regularly comes up to me when I sit on my couch because he wants to be held like a baby with his paws over my shoulder. He didn't meow the first year of his life. The 2nd year maybe a couple of times. Now he talks all the time. I still think he might be a Bombay because he looks and has all the traits they do, but without the papers. Black cats matter too😻🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
I adopted a pair of kittens almost two years ago. I found the female (who is not black) with an online search of local shelters and when I called, I told them I wanted her and a black cat. I had no idea the black one was a Bombay or even that Bombays were a breed until I ran into someone at my vet's office who told me about them. After a little research, I had to agree my boy is a typical male of his breed. Recently, he taught his non-Bombay sister to fetch. I just wish he would teach her not to chew on everything.
My Bombay is 6 years old now. I got him at 1.5 months old and he had worms that made his stomach balloon. We got it treated and he is the sweetest cat. Very playful and loves cuddling and lap time. He is 6 years old and still looks and acts like a kitten 😂
My Bombay is Marcel, and he's one of the sweetest, most pleasant and social cats I've ever had. He's stocky and playful, but I have to brush him regularly. He has green eyes, but that's acceptable for the breed, the so-called "English Bombay."
Three weeks ago a stray bombay cat arrived at my door and came inside, i have been feeding other stray cats that come to my garden but he is the most friendly out of all of the cats and the most hungry, i'm glad to know that feeding him twice a day is normal, he is a very hungry cat but also incredibly affectionate and playful. I want him to stay more but he likes to leave after a while. This week he has met the other stray cat that comes and i'm hoping they get along, they were both in my kitchen making the murdered child sound for 20 minutes lol
Just rescued a Bombay from St. Croix. He is an absolute angel. And he’s 17lbs! He’s so cool. Working on acclimating him with our current cat, who is a mini Siberian.
I have one her name is Midnight. She was a stray and i have had her now for 19 years. She is pure love. So sweet, athletic, smart, beautiful, loves to snuggle and is hooked on treats. They are the coolest cats around.
A month and a half ago, a tiny little bit of black skin and bones showed up on our back porch. Since this is a very rural area outside Naples Florida and a favorite place to abandon unwanted pets we were well able to catch her. But, our skills were not needed. She took the first chance to join our cat crew (5) and got over her skittish ways in about a week. Her eyes are amazing! Once she fully lost the baby blue, they revealed themselves to be orange/cooper outer and orangeish gold inside. She is as agile a kitten as we ever saw, very attached to me and in love with her adult siblings. Her coat, though short, is the blackest of blacks. She rapidly filled out and is growing like kudzu. The best way to describe her look is like the dragon from the movie, How to Train Your Dragon. Inky Stinky has completely taken over the house and is a joyful frisky kitten AND she trains amazingly easy. I fully plan on getting her a DNA test to see if she needs special care. I hate people who abandon pets, but someone gave away a treasure.
I adopted my Onyx from a free shelter as a kitten. In adulthood, he quite literally grew to half the size of a black panther. He was 2-2.5 feet from nose to butt and 1.5+ feet at the shoulder. He was 40 pounds of muscle, bone, teeth, claws and not obese in any way. If you catch him just right in the sun, you could get a glimpse of his Leopard spots. He had an imposing size but was very laid back. During playtime it was rare to not end up bleeding due to his size and strength, but that didn't bother me at all. He was a gorgeous and loving cat. He hunted by dropping down on his prey from a tree and sometimes would take his kill back up in the tree to eat.
I have 2 of them a male an female. Energetic is a serious understatement !!! It's more like "Into Everything" !!! They are very intelligent and have the ability to solve problems ... Just like all teenagers their judgement is not always the best and are constantly in to something !!! Bathing is another issue ! When it's done "The Fight is On" !!! We are having issues with "No Claws" !!! They like using those grappling hooks way too much !!! Their very entertaining an great company !!! Never a dull moment around them !!!
Mojito patted my face to get my attention at the pet store, love at first sight, put him on hold until payday, now my familiar is with me 😊, wonderful Bombay
My son who lives with me has a Bombay cat named dolce and she is very smart and sweet, she's the light of grandma world,I love her so much, my son got her when she was just a kitten
I paid zero dollars for my black cat from the shelter. Turns out, he's a Bombay and the best boy. He fits all the stereotypes but thankfully has a little adopted sister to play with.
Just love my two Bombay babies which were rescued as tiny kittens and now about five years old ❤ p.s. yes, you point out my boy has put on weight and will begin taking care of their teeth now.
Mine loves fetch wanting to play it almost nonstop😂 his eyes range from copper to green depending on lighting and background. He likes to ride on the headrest of my electric wheelchair like a king 😊
I have always suspected my Huey has Bombay personality as well as many of the characteristics, but as a rescue I cannot confirm his pedigree. So I just enjoy him.
Same here, I adopted a senior Bombay from the shelter. (But what I can't understand is why anyone would give up such a beautiful cat.) Midnight is absolutely the best cat I have ever had and I have adapted quite a few over the years. Everything he said about the personality is right on. Her fur is like velvet!
Same with my Luna. I think she has some Bombay in her, but she's not completely black, she has a white spot under her chin, and a larger white spot on her lower belly between her hind legs. She has the eyes, the silky coat, and definitely has the Bombay temperament, though. But I adopted her, too, so I have little idea about her background, and none about her breeding. One day maybe I'll have a DNA test done.
I have a bombay I got from a black cat shelter. He is funny, aloof, and obnoxious at the same time. He has been my personalized alarm clock, TV blocker, talker, toy magician, cat wrangler, and laundry lover. But, he has been mostly my best friend.
My bombay called shadow she was abandoned when she was aroung 6weeks old, i had taken a walk one morning to the local garage to pick up my car that had some repairs done and as i walk a cross a field as a short cut i heard a cat crying extremely loudly i followd the crys to a moving bin bag! I then rushed over ripoed open the bag to find a kitten that was very poorly looking, i phoned the garage where my car was and asked to pick up the car the following day due the kitten that needed me, i rushed her to my home to clean her up and made sure she was unhurt ect, after a few days of not leaving her side she followed me everywhere i went so i called her shadow ❤. After months of care i tried to encourage her to go outside but she didnt like it she fluffed up and become voilent towards me so shadow decided that she wants to stay a indoor cat and am more then happy for her to stay as a indoor cat but she sees me as hers only and if any woman happens to come near me she hissis and growls at them she also jumps on me so no one can touch me without her oking it, shadow is the most loveable cat that ive even known but shes super protective of me as if all humans are to be feared of, shadow only allows known family members to sit next to me and one female friend of mine but no one else is allowed... I love my shadow and we have a the best relationship any person could ever hope for however, i cant say that am a her owner because we dont own cats as cats own us lol
I was on my back screened porch shortly after Hurricane Milton. This cat just introduced himself and hasn't left ever since. My neighbor was like, "He's a Bombay cat!". Got a square nose like a panther, very friendly, VERY vocal. I think he adopted ME instead of me adopting HIM! 😂 I named him Bo Jack Jangles LOL! I named him after my dog (Bo. He was a black lab half pitbull) who passed away 3 years ago because he has the same mannerisms that Bo had ; paws at my leg when he wants to be pet, lays his head on my leg when I'm on the computer, waits for my car to drive in from work at 6 am in the morning lol ❤ I was telling my parents, "Well, Bo was a stray dog that I took care of and LOVED for many years (13). Maybe he just came back to me as a stray in cat form...?" LOL 😂❤❤❤
I had a Bombay cat for 20 years. Beautiful breed all around. Great personality. Beautiful to look at. Can't go wrong with a Bombay. Today I own a white Scottish Straight. Also a beautiful cat with a great personality. I can't say which is better - both a great.
Yup I wasn't even a cat person but my Bombay posley posington (Po for short) is what made me fall in love with cats. She just showed up and never left. Some guy behind our house said it was his cat and she got out but she doesn't go over there she stays with me and my family. We give her attention and food all day. She's like a little dog. She follows us around and waits for us to get home. And she's always glued to the hip when we're doing anything outside
We've had ours for two months. I just figured out yesterday this was his breed. Although surely not pure bred. His mother is a stray in my sister in law's backyard and his litter mates were tabbies. But he has the look, the eyes, the little white fur spot on his chest, and that swoopy tail. And he is such a joy.
We went through a Bombay breeder after adopting our first cat (who turned out to be partial Bombay). We loved the attitude! Sadly we couldn't find any rehoming rescues with Bombay, so we did go to a breeder. We love her. She's the sunshine of our house. She lives for the windows, climbs like a panther on her cat wall and just needs to sleep under the blankets. Best cat attitude hands down. There are some... Quirks lol though. She's VERY talkative, so I wouldn't get one if you're sensitive to chatty kitties. They're also in need of a lot of attention.... DO NOT get one if you're not ready for this, as it can be a little daunting. She's also a food hound, constantly hungry and ready to scarf cookies down. She's also prone to tartar! We have her on a dental food, which seems to help! All in all, she's an amazingly beautiful, fawned over family member.
Hi, I have had 2 Bombay’s a Mother and biological Daughter, mother was 18 years and daughter was 16 years old when they passed. Please be so kind to refer me to the breeder you have purchased from. Regretfully my reader had retired and is deceased.
@viviennes2775 awe, I'm so sorry for your loss, but those ages are really amazing. I had a non-bombay live till 24 and it was amazing. Sadly, our breeder was retiring after 20+ years and had her last litter. We were very lucky, as our girl was a runt that people above us on the wait list turned down (our win). But we did get her from Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada. We live in the lower mainland of BC. If I see any others I'd recommend, I'll be sure to add them here.
@@chelsea7755 Thank you for your kind words I’m so sad They’re such a rare breed and all of the original breeders are retired, some of the new ones I’m not sure about especially when they are placing a $2000 price tag on a feline you are not showing nor breeding I am here in chicago I was at the TICA show and there were only 2 Bombays being shown One was from Sweden and I would never have any animal transported .
All my life I've had a terrible allergy to cats, but my friend's BOMBAY does not cause any symptoms for me at all. For the first time, I was able to bond with a cat. We got along so well that the Bombay has been living with me for over a year and we couldn't be closer :)
My old neighbor had one and they were fed up with him so they Left him outside. He was always crying at night. My fam took him in and were trying to find a home I took him in and he's such a blessing 🙌
I adopted my Bombay 8 years ago when she was 2 full of health issues and it was one of the best decisions in my life.,I didn`t know she was pure or cross breed Bombay until I heard her meowing. I t was totaly different than the others cats so I went to the vet. He examinated her and saw under paws black, gums black, fur black and big eyes and he said there is no anything wrong, it just the breed. You Are lucky to have Bombay cat!!! And for me is the best breed in the whole world!!! She is always withme, and she is adorable!!!
I paid $2000 for my Bombay cat. I got him from a breeder. His dad is the top cat cat in the cat association. I also have a burmese both are amazing cats as long as you don't mind super needy cats. There is no love tho quite like a Burmese or Bombay's love.
After having cared for around 25-30 cats during my 57 years alive, my current Bombay is simply the best cat I've ever owned. He is perfect in about every way, though not overly affectionate as far as laptime is concerned. He likes to stay at exactly fingertip reach, and only allows me to pet him with one hand a time. Beyond this caveat, he can sit for an hour or longer and just let me pet him from nose tip to full belly, and he never gets agitated. He doesn't like disco or dance music, but instead prefers ambient and orchestral pieces. He hates canned chicken, but loves broiled chicken, scallops, and prime rib. I guess he was a king or sultan in a previous life. He will lie / sleep next to me all night very politely, preferring the softest and darkest thing in the room; even it it is what I am sleeping on. If he is hungry, I am allowed 60 seconds to get him food before the bitching begins. He is a talker. And he will NOT stop until he is fed. He never gets excited, gets along well with other cats (and even large dogs), and will let anyone pet him as long as they don't try to pick him up. He is never mean or angry, but will wriggle like an earthworm until he is back on the ground, and ready to get pet at arm's length. He is, if nothing else, predictable. I have never seen him hiss, scratch, or avoid anything, and he loves to catch and eat hornets and wasps, making him my hero. That is, when he is not waking me up to feed him at 5:14am. Every. Damn. Morning!
I was given Bombay male when he was about 8 weeks old and he is literally a dog. I've taught him to sit and stand on command aswell as walk on a lead. He is incredibly intelligent and incredibly affectionate and loyal. Absolutely amazing breed and I am extremely lucky to have him!
My Bombay Dakota is the perfect cat who adores me and my family and friends. He also gets along with my dogs. I wanted a Bombay since I was 10 yrs old. I am now 65 . I finally got my sweet boy 8 years ago when I inherited him after my dear friend passed away. I have my dream cat and he is THE PERFECT CAT. He’s got ALL of the handsome Bombay characteristics. He is now 15 so I worry that anything can happen . He has NEVER had health issues. I highly recommend a Bombay 5:17 . ❤
I LOVE 💕 BOMBAY CATS CUZ WE HAVE A BEAUTIFUL N CUUUTE BOMBAY CAT AS WELL 😻🤗😽HIS COAT IS SOOOO ABSOLUTELY SHINNY N SOOO GLOSSY N JUS SOOO BEAUTIFUL 😻😽💙😻WE DEFFINITELY LOVE 💕 OUR BOMBAY CAT 🐈 FOREVER ♾🥰😻😽💙HE IS OUR MINI BLACK PANTHER 🐆
Enjoyed this video. I am a lucky owner if a gorgeous Bombay with abundance if beauty & personality . He is such a little lover. Thanks for sharing this info
My Bombay is a true purr kitty and highly intelligent, he knows when I am getting ready to eat and is little johnny on the spot every time.he also is the peace maker with the other cats in the house , always befriending the one who has been the underdog.
i have a glorious Bombay baby....He is currently 8 years old and still acts like a kitten everyday...he is playful and also very cuddly...it's such a great combination for those of us who are independent people but yet really want the love of a furbaby on demand lol ...He is BY FAR the love of my life and just an absolutely dream to own...a few years back the Humane Society missed removing once of his testicles and although i'm know this was very confusing to him at the time, it ended giving a fullness to his face that many neutered/spayed cats do not have...ofc, i think he is the most beautiful thing on the planet lol...he had a spell with urine crystals a few years back but after a short stay in the ER and proper food that targeted this issue, he has been perfectly healthy and happy..i'm so VERY blessed to have my Boo in my life...truly, the best breed ever!
Always wondered what my Kissy was. When I realized she is a British Bombay I was thrilled. We adopted her when her human passed. Sweetest and most vocal cat I have ever had
@@johndipinto8816 Exactly. Everyone thinks their black cat is a Bombay but unless they came from a Bombay breeder, of which there aren't many to begin with, the chances of finding one in a shelter or as a stray is slim to none
Not true. Its very easy to see if you got a usa or brittish one. Me and my wife got one from a shelter, out from 6 kittens feral, all black. You see by eyes, rounded pawns/head and black inside of mouth. They are very easy to recon.
I have stray cats in my yard that I feed. One stands out above all. A dark gray cat, very soft hair, with incredible yellow eyes. Very friendly and even needy. She doesn't like me petting the other csts. These cats are definitely the type you keep
We adopted our gorgeous boy, but he was from a feral litter and portrait nasty habits ie as biting, scratching and isolation. But we preserved with Salem and we grew to live hom for his particular habits throughout his life. He is now 11yrs old and a grumpy at times nasty cat. But he knows us and when he is awful we let him know and he does understand this and he sulks lmao. But he us our gorgeous boy and we love him no matter what ❤️ 💜
After 11 years of having a Bombay as a best friend, I can also agree they are almost perfect pets. They love to talk, LOUDLY, but if you can get past that, you've got a friend for life.
My girl is a Bombay mix - has some white spots and one white/pink paw. My assumption is its mixed with Siamese due to the Siamese being white and...most notably...her vocal attention. She just...doesn't...be...quiet. After I come back home after a few days away I swear she'll have no vocal chords.
I fostered, then adopted 9-week old sisters during COVID and fell madly in love. One is sleek and elegant with golden, almond shaped eyes. She is a delicate flowers. The other is a feisty, chubba wubb with perfectly round green eyes. They are both complete love bugs and very well behaved. I do take them in my enclosed back yard twice a day for play time, but I never leave them alone and they never try to climb the fence. They will not eat wet food so I buy an $83.00 bag of dry food every month to ensure they are getting what they need. I struggle to get them to drink enough water. I have bowls all over the house, plus a water fountain... but they prefer to drink out of the faucet, which I don't like because we have high levels of calcium in the water. Any suggestions?
@@bleachedout805 They're recognized as a separate breed of their own now, so saying they're purebred is totally appropriate. Many cat breeds came out by combining two previously existing breeds.
I have just adopted the most beautiful Bombay Loki he was brought into my partners veterinary practice someone found him I’ve had him 3 months now but never had a cat before, I really want to allow him to go outside eventually because I think cats are so instinctive to be kept indoors but I am wondering if anyone has any advice if this is the right thing to do? Thank you.
Hi Dean, it really depends on where you live. I generally do not recommend it. Indoor cats generally live longer than outdoor cats due to dangers such as traffic and other animals. Your cat might also get spooked by loud noises and larger animals and run away to find a place to hide. This is how a lot of cats go missing. If you really want to take your cat outside, you can leash train them and take them out for a supervised excursion outdoors to get your cat accustomed to the new environment and see how your cat responds. Another option, if you have the time and budget, is to get an outdoor cat patio so that your cat can still experience the outdoors while still being in a safe environment.
@@Cat_Nation thank you very much for your reply, I think you’re right he is very happy in the home and we also have adopted a kitten so he now has a little friend to play with.. I would never forgive myself if he went missing or worse. Thanks again 😊
Chat with low voices n straight to their eyes.. They always know your feelings.. Keep ask smile I wanna see your teeth.. When they in dark n see u.. U know that is your favourite cats.. 😂😂😂
I have a Bombay her name is Willow I clean and care for her everyday because she's such a good girl I also have a Russian Blue named Grey and a Maine Coone named Oden they r all my children and r well taken care of they also r all very playfull Cat's I Love them all very much and go out my way to make sure their happy.❤ 😊
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been having random cats come up on our porch and be friendly with us. The latest one is a young Bombay who is aggressively friendly!
I think mine looks like a Bombay. But how would you know for sure? He's a character! His brother from another mother is a orange tiger tabby. I like to think I have a mini panther and a mini tiger. Tabby purr sounds just like a tiger.
My little Pepper is so smart...He acts more like a dog than a cat...He understands what I am saying...Has no problem telling me exactly what he wants..Greets everyone who stops by...Follows me everywhere including the shower...He loves water....We have to keep all toilet seats closed or he will sit in the toilet like it's his personal hot tub..I would not trade him for a million dollars.
I was trying to teach her "Catch and release" but she started releasing birds in the house and I would come home from work and fine a bird flying around in the house!!!!! and she would release mice to run around the house until I got it in a trap or she caught it [again]...... So I started teaching her that if she released anything inside alive I would let it go back outside and she started bringing things into the bathtub and eating them and leaving the s#!t sack in the tub for me to clean up..... and the feathers that are floating around the house too..... So feeding he once or twice a day is literally impossible as she brings birds in to eat @ 3:30 in the morning just before i wake up @ 3:45 I swear she knows time very well.... Daylight savings time messes with her very bad for a couple months but she knows when daddy wakes up I swear it!!!!! My smart little girl 🐈⬛
I adopted an abandoned black cat last year and had been looking all over to find what breed it might be. Now after watching this video i think my cat is a Bombay cat! Afshdk
I found a tiny black kitten in the woods about 3 years ago. Now I have a velcro panther. I literally had to take him off my lap nineteen times in a row the other night while I was trying to work. Wouldn't take no for an answer.
Its not misunderstood by me i had appointment at dentist 6 time all six time when i got outside to go to dentist i met this black cat there was no pain and no problem at dentist conclusion black cat brings good luck
Had a petite girl distinctive eyes. She was shy for a long time liked a little petting then she got older would want attention on her terms. Jump on desk then would like even firm pets along her back. This I would do for about 2 to 3 mins, then she would walk away turn to look basically saying we are done now. This would happen nightly till her old age and sub-coming to kidney failure. She was a little sweetheart.
I just got a New black kitten. After watching your video I asked the lady who gave me the kitten her fir us just like velvet was very shy when I hot her but now she loves being petted I added her after I hot a new kitten and he was crying every time I had yp pop out she us a British bombay so I looked around for a 2nd kitten and got put in touch with a lady who was having problems funding homes for black kittens how lucky am i that I hot midnight I asked the lady this morning after suspecting and found out ger mum and dad are both bombast she gave me the kitten gir free she is a good eater she is almost 4 months old and will be neutered soon as my other kitten is a Tom thank you very much for your videos
My cat was from a mixed litter but it's more like a Bombay cat than a black cat.in the right light you can even see a panther like markings I suppose it needs to have Bombay mum and dad to be one though So I suppose mine is a black cat
Do you own a Bombay Cat? Let us know more about them in the comments sections!
Ours in 2 years old and he has the best personality and the thickest silkiest cost. He wears a Red Bowtie we love him
Yes.. I own a Bombay cat. Just in my profile picture. Actually her name is Baghira..
We have a whole litter 😮

You made my day
I had a little, bedraggled cat turn up in my garden a couple of months ago.
Ours crawled out of the snow one day, a cold hungry kitten. She has been the best part of the family ever since.
I had a Bombay male for 16 years. He was THE BEST feline companion I've ever had. I miss him and his cuddles.
No matter what he’ll come with me to the restroom and sit there like he’s an armed security guard😂
Sometimes his meowing might be kinda annoying, but I’d much rather have a cat that never stops talking to me than one that wants nothing to do with me, ya know?
@@eddiepaul96 same😂🐈⬛
About 8 years ago I found a kitten in the bushes, she was so small I had to hand rear her for almost a month.
I just LOVE black cats. They are dark, mysterious, glamorous and elegant just like me ❤😅
I have a Bombay rescue . He is the sweetest baby with the funniest swagger walk..he loves to talk to us and he enjoys food as much as his cuddle time
I believe I have a Bombay cat that just decided to live in my backyard 10:06 10:06
My baby boy only coos never meows I love it
You are absolutely right about not being able to see them in the dark! Each night as I close up the house, I'll look outside to see if my sweetie is out on the deck. If I don't see him then I open the screen to see if he is anywhere farther out on the deck. As soon as I open it, I look down and see he's right at my feet.
I had my Bombay trained to go to the bedroom when I said, "Time for bed."
He was a snuggle muffin.
I could see him In the dark, but only when he was on the floor.
I had off-white carpet. 😊
Or if you have a black computer chair you might accidently sit on them. Done that.

My little panther Sooty adopted me and now I’m his happy servant for life , he’s a very intelligent loving cat 👍
I can't wait to get my own bombay cat. The first time I fell in love with them was when I started watching Sabrina The Teenaged Witch as a kid. Salem always made me laugh, and was the sole reason I watched the show. I hope to one day get a male bombay, and name him Salem.
I have a stray male bombay cat, he is amazing, so friendly and loving to a complete stranger (me), I have a mouse on a stick toy and he can jump really high for it
They're the best cat's I ever had ❣️
I love mine, long may she reign over her house queendom.
I have a Bombay cat.. She is 3 years old. Her name is Baghira. And ya one more thing.. That is her in my profile picture!!
Yes I have a Bombay cat and I got him at 1 years old and he is amazing and I love him and he loves attention and I love to give it to him ❤❤❤❤
I have a American Bombay Cat indoors. There's 4 stay American Bombay Cats outside. They're now my outdoor cats and I love them too 😸
Unless they all came from a Bombay breeder, of which there aren't many, it's highly unlikely they're Bombays.
I had a Bombay cat for 20 years. Beautiful breed all around. Great personality. Beautiful to look at. Can't go wrong with a Bombay. Today I own a white Scottish Straight. Also a beautiful cat with a great personality. I can't say which is better - both a great.
😮😊 They are gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful breed and definitely talkative but friendly little babies

Thank you for your kind words
I’m so sad
They’re such a rare breed and all of the original breeders are retired, some of the new ones I’m not sure about especially when they are placing a $2000 price tag on a feline you are not showing nor breeding
I am here in chicago
I was at the TICA show and there were only 2 Bombays being shown
One was from Sweden and I would never have any animal transported .
Charming, elegant and gorgeous 🥰 great description
I was chosen to be a servant to a beautiful stray Bombay I named kitty cat and has turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.
My fam took him in and were trying to find a home
I took him in and he's such a blessing 🙌
Nice I found mine in a trash can

Very beautiful cat! I love your stories!
I have a Bombay, he’s an amazing cat. Loves to play and snuggle and jumped into my arms when I came him to give me a hug.
My Bombay Dakota is the perfect cat who adores me and my family and friends. He also gets along with my dogs. I wanted a Bombay since I was 10 yrs old. I am now 65 . i have a glorious Bombay baby....He is currently 8 years old and still acts like a kitten everyday...he is playful and also very cuddly...it's such a great combination for those of us who are independent people but yet really want the love of a furbaby on demand lol ...He is BY FAR the love of my life and just an absolutely dream to own...a few years back the Humane Society missed removing once of his testicles and although i'm know this was very confusing to him at the time, it ended giving a fullness to his face that many neutered/spayed cats do not have...ofc, i think he is the most beautiful thing on the planet lol...he had a spell with urine crystals a few years back but after a short stay in the ER and proper food that targeted this issue, he has been perfectly healthy and happy..i'm so VERY blessed to have my Boo in my life...truly, the best breed ever!

Love love love my amazing Bombay Cleo

I have one. My black panther ❤
But he us our gorgeous boy and we love him no matter what ❤️ 💜
I love my Bombay cat. He is so sweet and affectionate.
Mine his 8 still gotta lil growin to do he's huge
When you said intelligent I was like what cuz mine's not that smart we put up a new wall and he kept running into said new wall
I have a full blood Bombay cat and she is beatyfulll
Considering they are a mixed breed to start the concept of being full blooded or pure is oxymoronic.
@@bleachedout805 They're recognized as a separate breed of their own now, so saying they're purebred is totally appropriate. Many cat breeds came out by combining two previously existing breeds.
Nice vid and info! Thanks😻

The latest one is a young Bombay who is aggressively friendly!
👏👏👏😺😸😽 I love this Cats! Where you from? 🇧🇷
Hi there! I am from Singapore! 😸
I rescued mine from death row almost a year ago. We're having a ball.
I just got one
I was trying to teach her "Catch and release" but she started releasing birds in the house and I would come home from work and fine a bird flying around in the house!!!!! and she would release mice to run around the house until I got it in a trap or she caught it [again]...... So I started teaching her that if she released anything inside alive I would let it go back outside and she started bringing things into the bathtub and eating them and leaving the s#!t sack in the tub for me to clean up..... and the feathers that are floating around the house too..... So feeding he once or twice a day is literally impossible as she brings birds in to eat @ 3:30 in the morning just before i wake up @ 3:45
I swear she knows time very well....
I love black cats. They are the best.
3:42 That is so true.
Its not misunderstood by me i had appointment at dentist 6 time all six time when i got outside to go to dentist i met this black cat there was no pain and no problem at dentist conclusion black cat brings good luck
Ps it is hollywood movies and wikipedia that bring bad luck
I have 5 Bombay cats. Two are kittens, the other 3 are males and one of them is very large.
They’re the best cats ever!
I just got my baby today he is so beautiful

My cat was from a mixed litter but it's more like a Bombay cat than a black cat.in the right light you can even see a panther like markings
I suppose it needs to have Bombay mum and dad to be one though
So I suppose mine is a black cat
